54 yr old female retail worker here. Ohio, USA. I watch these drain cleaning videos every night before I go to sleep. I dream of being a drain cleaner in the UK. You guys rock!
I won’t don’t worry I like doing it because it’s a bit different from what everyone else is doing. Also I can get things across that I want to say without having to talk to myself whilst trying to do a job so it works perfectly.
That was fascinating seeing the interconnectedness of the system at the hospital. I appreciated how respectful and patient you were of your clients, and how you did your very best to make at least temporary fixes when more permanent ones were not possible. Your good manners and civility do you great credit. I hope your channel and business both go from strength to strength. That plunger is what plumbers once used when I was a kid in the 60s, and one doesn't see them now, it's all expensive noisy machinery.
I know i think it has been fixed now or is being done very soon but yeah took way to long i think its got to be okayed by loads of people higher up and paperwork and all that rubbish has slowed it all down
The brick lined manhole at the hospital, those pipes coming into the channel from the right hand side are installed at the wrong angles in relation to the main run.
To seal cover I use Cling Film to wrap the cover (you may even If you put cooking oil obviously non toxic and environmentally friendly on the film as unmolding agent) , put the silicon on the flange of the manhole and put it straight on. The silicone spread and eventually overfill the gap. The let dry it before moving anything. This way the next time you have to open the cover it will open freely, and with the oil you can remove the film and put the cover back on the molded seal. This work well no mater if the cover is corroded with pit and fall, just remove the unstick rust before, and put the cover back at the same orientation !
So the hospital probably going to wait till the drains collapsed completely then have a lot more disruption and cost to fix the drain! Wasting NHS money, unbelievable 🤷♀️

Really enjoy your narration. I think that is what makes you stand out from the others. Don’t stop doing that!

Thank you for your comment glad you liked the video.
The plunger was before the jet-snake was invented,
Wasn’t expecting the poo train. What a bloody mess at the hospital. They should have you show up once a month til they get it fixed.
They have guys on site and every other day they lift this cover and when it starts backing up if they cant clear it we get a call to do it
Great job at both locations, especially the hospital👍 Once the repairs are completed, it’s going to feel strange not going there anymore 😂
There are always drains to clear at that hospital 😂 and they will still manage to block this one up somehow 😂
A bit of a tip for when you are spreading the silicon wet your finger
That hospital needs to get that drain repaired! Can’t believe they have just let it go for that long.
I know i think it has been fixed now or is being done very soon but yeah took way to long i think its got to be okayed by loads of people higher up and paperwork and all that rubbish has slowed it all down
Just wow! You might become daily staff. That much repeated blocking with so much use, means damage is quickly worsening. $$$ Eeek!
😂 I go to this site most weeks for various drains so might as well be staff

Yeah they are totally wrong but they are only taking sinks so not so bad

Thats a good tip il have to try that
love that blurp noise when 300 litres poo burps 😜
😂
Love your point of view in the Hospital manhole but you were taking quite a risk there eh!
Do Do could have got the camera
Thats why iv got a go pro 🤣 its “water” proof
Good job…🍺🍺
Thanks

hello
have you tried the new hybrid sealants? they stick to wet surfaces, silicone wont
no I haven't I might need to try them though that would come in handy doing these jobs
So the hospital probably going to wait till the drains collapsed completely then have a lot more disruption and cost to fix the drain! Wasting NHS money, unbelievable 🤷♀️
it is getting sorted very soon its a bit ridiculous how it has to go through so many people and paperwork before anything can get done
@@Keep_itflowing that’s the nhs for you, they know how to waste money
100%
I think i need a smoke after that slug came out...and i don't even smoke!
🤣🤣
I would think this was an environmental problem that the hospital would need to fix.
I think it has been fixed now
I hate working with mastic. Terrible stuff.
Same
I have two man holes in my house sealed with mastic about 20 years ago, it may be messy at least it works to keep the smell away.
if it works it works and its cheeper than replacing a manhole cover and frame
so just leave the tap running, 24 / 7
That would help but would be expensive on the water bill
water bill or plumber bill? either way the hospital board should be reported to the department of health, even the KING @@Keep_itflowing
They have it sorted now :)
please explain for us all@@Keep_itflowing
they have had the drain lined thru now
