It mattered how many people they had left, not how many they had lost. Germans had to conscript children at the end of ww1 and that ment they lost even if with less casualties.
You didn’t it was an attritional war against both the British and French which Germany could never off won the Royal Navy was starving ur people and you was suffering almost double the casualties as the western allies on the western front it was just a stupid war based on greed which left all European superpowers militarily and economically devastated
the division at 10:11 The Czechoslovak Legion (Czech: Československé legie; Slovak: Československé légie) were volunteer armed forces comprised predominantly of Czechs and Slovaks[1] fighting on the side of the Entente powers during World War I and the White Army during the Russian Civil War until November 1919. Their goal was to win the support of the Allied Powers for the independence of Lands of the Bohemian Crown from the Austrian Empire and of Slovak territories from the Kingdom of Hungary, which were then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With the help of émigré intellectuals and politicians such as the Czech Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and the Slovak Milan Rastislav Štefánik, they grew into a force over 100,000 strong.
a great video of the European theater! Kudos! But i would have wished somehow to show the rest of the World at war. The epic transition of music at the end of 1917, when the communists came to power with Lenin's words "Tovarischi, rabochie i krestyane...", and the Eastern Front ceased to exist with the signing of the Peace of Bretsk on March 3, 1918.

It will still attack Serbia, but for Russia theres just no way for Austria-Hungary they will attack a big country. In Summary It wont be a World War anyways, just your typical Austro-Hungarian Serbian War. And Germany in the 19th century dont even have a defensive pact to Austria-Hungary as well.
It was shocking, sickening, to see the decline in numbers at the front, as the dead piled up. From 3,000,000 on each side on the Western Front in June 1916 to literally half that, 1,500,000 on each side in June 1918 -- even with the arrival of the American Expeditionary Force. The great European nations were indeed running out of men.
Italy ran out of so much men they Litteraly resorted to kamikaze Attacks on the austrians because they were on the brink of famine and were loosing so much men in the mountains literally ww1 is a meat grinder for humans humans never learn there lessons They start wars And kill eachothers were all brothers and sisters.
@@Kaiser-dt2ir its called a strategy game for a reason! you have to be smart with your troops, resources and negotiation ability to win this game and i already won in call of war twice.
Wasn't winning. It would end as a total annihilation. The war would have likely gone on until 1920. German cities would have been destroyed, with great casualties. That fairytale of that "We would have won if we wouldn't have been betrayed" was a direct cause of WW2. Look at the numbers. Late 1918 Germany was losing a lot of men on the Western Front. The Bolshewiks in the East were just in a civil war. They were betting on a German loss, their strategy was to wait and later to attack, when the capitalistic west would have bleed out itself.
@@suckyourdeadnan4805seems more like the Allies were bleeding dry in the Western Front until the Spring Offensive and the arrival of a whole lot of Americans.
interesting and well done video, but one big issue is that most concensus agree that WW1 casualties vary between 15 to 20 Million, then how did you get twice over the agreed upon number?
También se cuentan los heridos, sin contar que la revolución rusa ya no debe contar como bajas al ser otro evento, los muertos y las bajas en ocasiones se separan
@@de_Voux yeah. I know that casualties include both POWs and the wounded, but, that still is over half the number of most agreed sources What are YOUR sources that back up this number?

@oldman-22k not only at the beginning actually for no reason in the most of the battles even if they had won they had more casualties
It mattered how many people they had left, not how many they had lost. Germans had to conscript children at the end of ww1 and that ment they lost even if with less casualties.

we had the upper hand the entire war but we somehow lost it at the end

The Czechoslovak Legion (Czech: Československé legie; Slovak: Československé légie) were volunteer armed forces comprised predominantly of Czechs and Slovaks[1] fighting on the side of the Entente powers during World War I and the White Army during the Russian Civil War until November 1919.

There was fighting in the Atlantic, those stats could have been shown in a separate box, then there were the other areas of fighting like: Sanussi in Libya, Darfur in Sudan, the German colonies in Africa and Asia/Pacific, the Middle East theater and Arabia theater.

What if ww1 never happened in the first place?
@@goldiefox7128If it was, Germany never made to have a defensive pact with Austria-Hungary meaning its Austria-Hungary's own problem to the war anyways. Well the same events would happen by then in 1914 but no Allies of Austria-Hungary anyways.
Think about it, if ww2 never happened we wouldn't have electronic devices. 😭

OVER 40 Million People Dead for One Fight? Damn... For One War 40 Million Innocents had to lose their lives...

Man, really looked like Germany was winning right up until the end. Wonder what happened? 🤔🤷
Overextended, and out of men. The Spanish Flu also kicked in hard at the end.
Germany was not winning they was winning in the east they were being bled dry in the west
✡
@@suckyourdeadnan4805seems more like the Allies were bleeding dry in the Western Front until the Spring Offensive and the arrival of a whole lot of Americans.
interesting and well done video, but one big issue is that most concensus agree that WW1 casualties vary between 15 to 20 Million, then how did you get twice over the agreed upon number?
También se cuentan los heridos, sin contar que la revolución rusa ya no debe contar como bajas al ser otro evento, los muertos y las bajas en ocasiones se separan
Its casualties, not death toll
@@de_Voux yeah. I know that casualties include both POWs and the wounded, but, that still is over half the number of most agreed sources
What are YOUR sources that back up this number?
@@alexandrekuritza5685 I'm assuming that the video also takes account civillan casualties. Source online lists the total WW1 casualties to be more than 40 million.
