The thing is. If you actually calm your self down and not think pushing is some race to the finish line. You can allow your vagina muscles to actually squeeze baby out with little to no pushing. Small tiny pushes while your contractions happen. Burning or stinging means baby is coming so don't push take a breather and breath deeply then small push. Allow it to stretch and don't be afraid to even put your hand down and have a feel what's happening or to even massage the opening a little. This is easier in water than a birth table. Or on all fours.

This is exactly how my babies came through. I try to tell mamas that you don’t have to push at all because your body does the work… not many have this experience because they are forced to push on their back. I deliver on all fours. Maybe the next baby I’ll have a feel with my hand and catch myself! 🥰

  • @desyxd4400

Never let a nurse or doctor tell you how to push. Ignore them. I always do what I feel is right. They will tell you not to push yet, but I will always slightly push in contractions, the pressure eases pain. Even if they demand I push HARD, I will nudgingly push and stop if I feel pain or soreness. My babies only take 1-2 pushes, and I’ve never torn. Listen to your body, not a stranger with a sense of superiority.
Nature can’t be determined by schedules and threats. Even my “late babies” came before any doctor could induce. Even if a baby is late or early, they aren’t, it’s more likely that a doctor messed up their educated guess of gestational age. Every race has different size variations at any age, and there is truly no way to KNOW anything. Some baby’s are big, others small. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong.
Also, GO NATURAL! It’s less pain in the long run. Medicine will numb you, and you will not feel how you are hurting yourself. So many reasons to go natural. Those interventions can cause life long back pain, and distress your baby in the womb, only causing further complications.
Finally, RELAX!!! Trust in Mother Nature. Millions of women before you have given birth successfully on cave floors, why are you special??? This is what a woman’s body is designed to do! I fully believe that fear mongering is the reason women scream bloody mother. When woman are screaming, it’s out of psychological fear from all the horror stories they are told. Tensing up in fear won’t help delivery. Trust the process, go with the flow.

I’m having my third in a few days and I’ve learned to ignore doctors and listen to my body. With my first I took epidural I pushed how they wanted me to and had tears and hemorrhoids. My second because it was unexpected I did absolutely nothing. No one in my ear telling me to push, no epidural, no hospital bed (toilet thought I had to use the bathroom). My baby 100% guided me and my body did what it was created to do. No tears no hemorrhoids nothing! and fast recovery.
I know it can be different for every pregnancy, not sure how the one I’m in now will turn out but now I know what I want and don’t. OBGYn are surgeons they come in and then they go to the next. Eliminate the noise and let your voice speak up! Or tell your partner to speak for you when you are lost in the moment.

Gave birth to my 2nd ten days ago and ended up doing this without even knowing what it was; I instinctively used breathing to control how quickly my baby came out. She had a head measuring a week bigger than the rest of her body and I ended up only with a graze and a couple of superficial tears. As opposed to my first where I was coached to strain and push and got two second degree tears with a much smaller baby. I highly recommend telling your care provider you won’t be pushing until you feel your body uncontrollably bearing down, that seemed to make a huge difference in my second birth.

I think in some situations holding the breath may be warranted, for example if baby is in distress or if mom is too unwell.
My baby was not in distress but I
I reached the hospital when I was already fully dilated and the suffering was unbearable. The pressure was unbearable, and I probably was screaming « I can’t I can’t I can’t » and the nurse had me hold my breath while pushing. My baby was born very quickly, much to my relief. I did have second degree tears but they felt like nothing compared to the third degree ones I had with my first, and honestly it is a price I was willing to pay to stop suffering. I suppose I would have been able to do it more « gently » but at the moment the suffering was just so intense it made sense to get things moving as fast as possible.

I didn't do any technique and no one told me about how to push I just push while.holding my breath but didn't get any tear at all. My baby's weight is 2700gms

That is a very small baby. Perhaps that had more to do with it than holding your breath.

I had to have an episiotomy bc every push I did, his head would come out a little and then go back in. Lol I only pushed 4 times and then my doc cut me bc we were trying to get him out quickly bc his heart was acting funny. His heart was fine when he got out though. He just shot out so quick that popped a hole in his lung and doc had to drop the scissors and barely caught him like a football. 🤣🤣 it was definitely a wild experience. Lol

Pushing a watermelon through that tiny area, doesn't really help that much how you breathe, but yes you need to breathe through to let it stretch

I really don’t know where to ask so I’m gon comment here… if I want to avoid 💩 in front of everyone, do I do enema? What do people do to cleanse their gut out before delivery? Help please 😭😭

    • @swinkamorska4854
      @swinkamorska4854 2 місяці тому +1

Better not to, there is still a dirty water inside after enema. My midwife told me it is better for them (and of course for the mommy) to quickly and discreet get rid of one solid poo, than dealing with this nasty water pouring from you during labour.
plus enema kinda drains you from your vital forces- and you will need all energy you have ;)

If people are uncomfortable with that possibility, let them know ahead of time and don’t invite them to watch you give birth lol. The nurses / docs do not care at all, they’ve seen everything. It’s more important you eat on the way to the hospital so you’ve got plenty of energy.

It also causes hemorrhoids. That's what happened to me at 17 not knowing about anything and listening to the nurses tell me to push as hard as I could in my bum. Horrible advice

Why are nurses saying to hold your breath 10 seconds like who is right than ?

    • @aosangel

Because they want to control you and your body to suit their own time frame, rather than letting you and your body get into its own rhythm and taking it's time.

Contractions made me feel like i had to push and scream. This video is ridiculous, making it seem like giving birth is a blow of a candle. B please. It all depends on your body, and whether you have epidural or not.

Pushing like that when you have a bowl movement it is also not indicated, as it can lead to hemoroids or worsening of them , especially during pregnancy. Learn it the hard way 😊 so you also push through breathing out during a bowl movement.
