The lineup of JBL Live wireless headphones give you great sound, and great functionality. All JBL Live wireless headphones offer long battery life, Alexa and Google Assistant integration, and technology that lets you amplify the sound from your surrounding environment while you're listening to audio on your wireless headphones. If you run into issues with your JBL wireless headphones, your first troubleshooting step should be to restore your JBL Live wireless headphones to the default factory settings to see if that resolves your issue.
Now let's walk through the steps to reset your JBL Live wireless headphones to the default factory settings.
Step 1. Push up on the "Power" button located on the right ear cup of your JBL Live wireless headphones. The Bluetooth headphones will make the following sound when they are powered on.
Step 2. Locate the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons located beneath the Power button on the right ear cup. Hold down the the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons at the same time for roughly five seconds until you hear the device make the following sound, indicating it is powering down.
Step 3. Release the volume buttons. The device makes the following powering on sound again which is followed by a pinging sound. The pinging sound indicates your JBL Live wireless Bluetooth headphones have successfully been restored to the default factory settings and are now in pairing mode.
For all those with the Live 400BT headphones that are still having trouble, try this: Charge them for 10-15 minutes. Take them off charge and you may hear them immediately switch on and make the pairing sound. Do the hard reset (volume buttons together) until you hear the power down sound. It took a few times to get it (maybe 3 or 4) but it’ll be a relief when you’re not hearing them constantly switch on and off.

If you have problems with the reset, plug in the cord used to recharge the headphones
for a few seconds (the red light turns on) then pull out the charge cable.
When I try turning it on it doesn't make any noise and the light doesn't come on
When I charge it it doesn't have the red shit or any light

I had a recent problem with them. Whenever I would turn them off I had to re-pair them unto my iPhone and other devices. I updated the firmware and still had the same problem. After doing this reset now they reconnect. Thanks for the video!

Very helpful and clear video but....I have a pair of JBL E45BT which I cannot pair with windows 11 on my ASUS vivobook. I have tried to update the latest driver but it seems from Device Manger that windows has its own version. But what ever I do it wont pair with the laptop but it will with my iphone 9. Any advice will be appreciated

I had my JBL500 when I use it for my cellphone it works fine. However I had static noises when listening on TV bluetooth connection or when doing a video xonference on my laptop. Not sure it this will help. I tried but to no avail.

My JBL T450 wireless headphones suddenly stopped pairing with my laptop, I had to remove them but when I tried to re-pair them they just would not pop up on the list of Bluetooth items nearby. My JBL T450BT had been working successfully for some time but today the white light stayed On after recharge. I would not go Off. I tried to reset the device by simultaneosly pressing the volume Up and Down buttons, as indicated, but it wouldn't work. I don't know what to do. It just doesn't pair any more with my mobile phone.

I don’t know If you can help me but mine juste like make af the sound that’s it opens then stop and when it does open i have to reconnect them and then the shutdown holding the the volume up and down does not reset them I have the model whit the bottom power up
I bought a pair of the JBL Endurance Run BT earphones around 8 months ago and recently I noticed that the red charging light doesn’t turn off when the battery is fully charged, instead it remains on even when the earbuds are turned off, and it drains a lot of battery, any idea how to fix this? didnt work for me, i have the Live 650BTNC and it just says "google assisstant is not connected" doesnt give any sound. i tried factory reset like you suggested in this video but it didnt react at all to pressing volume up and down. think im gonna send them back to switch em out
That's cool, but my JBL live 650 headphones still keep disconnecting. I can see them on my phone and laptop and they will play audio before they disconnect due to an "incorrect pass key"
I use the jbl t460bt. It used to work normally like a few hours back. Now it connects only as voice and I tried pressing the volume up and volume down buttons together but I still can't reset the headset. Any help. Thank you.
just try to unpair the headsets and turn them off, and then turn them on again and wait for another sound after the booting sound, and then connect them again. it should work.

How do i factory reset JBL Duet NC headphones. My device keeps disconnecting from paired devices after 2-3 minutes.
Tried this but my JBLE45BT simply don’t show up on any device. Worked fine on my iPhone and my Samsung tablet and now suddenly won’t connect via Bluetooth. Tried forgetting the device (or unpairing if you will) and repairing but when the headphones are in pairing mode (blinking blue light), they don’t show up on the list of devices. Finally tried factory reset and still nothing
Any suggestions? It’s like the Bluetooth on the headphones doesn’t work anymore.
I have to do this almost everyday to fix the issue with it playing in my left ear only, any tips for fixing? 650live if that helps

If that doesn't help, you may want to try and exchange them if you can. May be a weird hardware problem.
Here’s a fix For JBL E45BT if you get power, but it won’t pair. It’s most likely a software glitch. After hours of research and desperation, I accidentally found a fix. I hope it works for you. Please drop a like and comment if it helps.
First you have to do a factory reset:
1) turn the power on.
2) hold the + button, and the - button down simultaneously for about 10 seconds. If successful at this point, your headphones should give the flashing blue pairing mode light. Here’s what the forums don’t tell you,(and I found it by trial and error in desperation),
3) Go to settings on your device, go to blue tooth, and where you see the JBL E45BT connect label. Hit the FORGET this device tab. This was the critical information none of the forums tell you about. Apparently some of the pairing driver files become corrupted, and if you do not start over from the beginning, as if it were the first time you were setting up the headphones, it will fail.
4) follow regular steps to pair your headphones.
Like I said, it worked for me, I’m not saying it will work for all, but it’s definitely worth a shot. Beats having to spend more $$$ on a new set of ears.

Tony Musolino did all this but mine still won’t pair. Even when I “Forget “ the headphones and then put the headphones in pairing mode, that simply don’t show up anymore on the list of available devices. It’s like it’s not broadcasting. Frustrating bc these are great on airplanes.
