Catherine’s Tiara was a gift from the Queen. Sara Duchess of York lived with her older lover for years, and she wore white. Also the Queen gifted her a Tiara as well
I actually like her tiara a lot. The diamonds were brilliant. Not a fan of her dress, too plain, hair a mess and the veil too much especially for a second wedding. She didn’t take advantage of any of the amazing guidance afforded to her. It’s a shame

More likely, she went against all guidance to exert control over everyone. I didn't realize the veil was that huge. She was lucky it didn't catch on something and yank the tiara off her head.

I woke up at 2am to watch the wedding, and very happy for Harry. I immediately noticed two things: Princess Charlotte's ill fitting dress and no socks, and the dead eyed, smug look on Meghan's face. It was creepy and I knew nothing about Meghan at the time, but I know plenty now. Yes, red flags were waving.

The first fit was Charles Spencer turning Harry down about the Spencer tiara. Charles stood firm that only Spencer women can wear that tiara, he wasn’t the pushover the OTHER Charles is😆
When Meghan demanded the tiara promised to Eugenie, what I thought particularly low was Harry bumping Eugenie & Jack’s wedding out of line, but then announcing the pregnancy at Eugenie’s wedding! Super low down!

I can see that, yes. She might even have the gall to have dropped some hints for Harry to write something like that in his book. Most likely it's MM dropping the suggestion and not Diana's sister. Besides most family tiaras are reserved for blood relations only. One has to be born a Spencer to be entitled to it.

I wore a flower crown for my wedding. With a collection of white flowers and blue ribbons. I was told by the best man that the look I had aimed for was accomplished! He's a professional videographer and said that the effects of the dress, my mom's vintage lace wedding dress, the flower crown, and the bouquet with trailing ribbons, plus a soft breeze, really set the mood for the photos. Hubby and I did not see each other before the wedding. I tease him by asking what I wore. He said something white.
But yeah, I was not impressed with meghan's wedding look. Or Camilla's. I saw a video that Camilla couldn't wear white, because the queen did. Now that's a power move. Shame on me, I snickered. I will probably always consider Camilla a homewreaker.
The tiara was the only and best part of Meg’s outfit. This woman is not thankful for anything.

There is no way that Meghan would be lent one of the Queen’s special tiaras . Beatrice was lent it because of Covid and also , I believe , as a dig at Meghan . They are the Queen’s property and it was her choice . Decent women would be happy with anything .

I really like Art Deco jewellery and I liked the tiara, but that is where it stops for me. The dress was boring and definitely lacked any decent couture vision and then that hair....let's not go there.

I thought I read that she wanted the emerald one that Eugenia wore. Remember, Eugenia had to postpone her wedding due to protocal that Harry 's had to come first but the Queen had already given permission for Eugenia to wear it, so technically, it wasn't available for Whiny Pants.

@@tearsong8744read "Brides" magazine. The white dress and veil tradition for a first marriage goes back to Queen Victoria. Second marriages traditionally the bride did not wear white as it represents purity. The Markle woman is anything but pure.
@@bjbrown Purity is related virginity and I don't think I'm missing the mark when I say that most people are not virgins on their wedding day anymore. So if that's the case then the whole tradition of wearing white should be abandoned. Going back to my original comment though it must be a British thing because in America people don't really care about that kind of thing. At least not to the degree that a lot of Brits seem to.
What disappointed me the most in the wedding dress was not the simplicity, but how ill fitted it looked. It did not look like it was made for her or tailored to her even though it is well known that it was made specifically for her to wear. Her hair also looked very messy. I liked the wedding dress that Princess Beatrice wore that was fitted for her but belonged to the late Queen. Beatrice also wore the diamond fringe tiara. I love the photo of her at the chapel doors with lots of flowers. It seemed much more memorable a wedding look even during social distancing,
What we could see of Bea’s wedding was beautiful. The floral arch around the doorway was incredible and her photos were amazing. The altered gown that was previously the Queen’s was wonderfully done. Wearing Her Majesty’s own wedding tiara. The socially distanced photos with Her Majesty and Prince Philip afterwards. It was all delightful.

I actually liked the tiara that MM wore. I've heard two versions of the story about the tiara containing emeralds which MM wanted. The first being as described, the second was that she wanted to wear the one that Eugenie had already picked out for her forthcoming wedding. Obviously, as a blood princess, Her Late Majesty wanted to let her Granddaughter have first choice.
I don't see though, how what Eugenie wanted to wear for her wedding in October 2018 would prevent M from also borrowing that same tiara for her wedding in the May of that year...? Couldn't they both have used it? Or maybe that would not be correct protocol...

I heard a story that because she was denied the emerald tiara she chose Eugenie’s wedding day to reveal she was “Megnant”.
I think the dress was dull, but the tiara was lovely on her. Her makeup was also soft and suited her. Only one criticism of the look would be the hair. What a disaster! Coming out in the back, flying in her face in photos. You would think that her hairdresser could get this project right on the most important day of her life. Unspectacular.

It wasn't the real tiara, this was made of rhinestones, real diamonds have quite different shine in sunlight (not my observation but someone who was an expert said this after the wedding).
The Late Queen was wise. She might have been concerned that if the tiara went out of the Royal supervision, it might never been returned.

I enjoy hearing the various stories regarding the Meghan and Harry tiara tantrums. However, Catherine’s wedding earrings were indeed a gift from her parents and they’re dangling acorns that are a part of her family’s coat of arms that was created for her marriage (3 acorns representing the 3 Middleton children). Catherine was originally going to have flowers in her hair until The Queen offered the use of a tiara from the Royal collection.
A lovely gesture from the Queen then, and such a pretty Tiara too. Kate looked perfect on her wedding day, Williams face said it all really!!

Three acorns in the middle of the Middleton coat of arms representing the three Middleton children Catherine, Pippa and James. Find a close up of her and a seperate one of him and you will see it. His is yellow gold, hers white gold / platinum. As far as I remember was the coat of arms granted by the late Majesty and the earrings a present from her parents .

Eugenie had planned on getting married before the Harkles, but when the H & M engagement was announced, I think QE II advised her granddaughter to move her wedding further along either because Harry was more entitled due to succession or a MM "pregnancy" rumor was floating around.
Being friendly with MM, Eugenie must've discussed her wedding plans/choices with the 'duchass'. I'm almost 100% sure tiaras were discussed and Eugenie made it known which one she had planned on wearing(which btw suited her overall look perfectly). Knowing MM now and how she works(stealing Prince George's pet name and giving it to her son/stealing the late queen's pet name and giving it to her daughter), we can assume with confidence that she wanted that emerald tiara just because Eugenie asked for it first. Little would the princess of York have known what this weasel could be capable of.
It is said that H's wife copied the bridal gown of the Princess of Lichtenstein,apparently the first lady of color to be married into European royalty. She also had her long veil trimmed with the likeness/design of the Spencer tiara. In my opinion I didn't mind her bridal look be ause that's what I expected she'd wear and the bandeau tiara was the perfect match for this ensemble.
Her hair on the wedding day was awful. But even this I think was on purpose. Why? Because Princess Diana's hair was also not perfection at the wedding ceremony... it looked flat and unflattering. However, when she and Charles left for their honeymoon she had her hair styled beautifully and was a vision in that carriage ride.

Yes, the tiara Markle wore was said to not be the one she originally wanted. The Queen supposedly told Harry that Meghan would get to choose out of the selection put out for her, not just any of her personal choice.

I love the Queen Mary Bandeau Tiara. The Art Deco influence is pleasing. Meghan didn’t care about her hair or her dress. One can tell because her hair was messy and her dress was ill-fitting. No, Meghan didn’t. Prince Harry’s book covered this topic, he wrote all about it. It was THE PERSON WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THE ROYAL JEWELS/A ROYAL EMPLOYEE who was the difficult one in that situation. That person/employee was supposed to get security for the tiara and make arrangements for Meghan to wear the tiara but that person/employee didn’t want to do all the work that was required for for that task. She kept implying to Harry it couldn’t be done when in reality she just didn’t want to do the work. That employee left that task undone until the last minute and didn’t keep Harry and Meghan informed about the whole situation. Harry mentions in his book how that employee was always causing trouble even before Meghan came along.
Please read Prince Harry’s book for the truth.

Chances are that if they're worried about provenance, it's neither the one worn by the queen or the one worn by Eugenie. Honestly, though, if it were to come down to the two shown in the video, I'd say it was the one worn by Eugenie. The same woman who "leaked" her pregnancy announcement at Eugenie's wedding would also want the tiara Eugenie wanted. I'm sure, by the time Megain selected hers, Eugenie had already asked for and received permission to wear the one she did. Remember how Eugenie was supposed to get married in the spring but her wedding was bumped back just so Hazmat and Megain could get married first. I would guess Megain would have asked for (read: demanded) whichever tiara Eugenie had asked for.

Rumour has it the bandeau tiara she wore on that fateful day was not, in fact, the real deal. A paste replica was created for security purposes and that was the one the Queen bestowed on this royal grifter. The rumour is supported by the fact thee are pix showing a rainbow affect emitting from the stones which is characteristic of fake - or, as Meghan wld say "inauthentic" - stones. Given her propensity for taking what doesn't belong to her, I think replicating a priceless heirloom was a very sound strategy, indeed.

I doubt that story. Antique diamonds were cut much differently from modern diamonds, and in fact, rhinestones were designed to mimic the cut of diamonds as they were cut when rhinestones were invented. If you look up antique cuts such as rose cut, mine cut, and Old European cut, you'll see what I mean. The sparkle of these cuts is much different than what we're used to. That's probably why some people thought it looked fake.
Just to add, if they were giving her a fake anyway, there would have been no reason not to let her have it when her hairdresser wanted to practice with it.
Also Princess Eugenie announced her engagement prior to Megaliar. Eugenie requested the emerald tiara first. Eugenie had to take a back step and let Harry get married first. But the wonderful gracious majestic Queen Elizabeth held firm to her promise to Eugenie. Hence Megaliars fit.

I agree the streamlined look and understated silver and crystals of the tiara went well with a minimalist look of her wedding dress, but it is as bland as it's safe. It could have had more texture or pattern or peaks, to add some focal point interest to the entire look.

The tiara that the queen chose for markle was a perfect choice to go with her very plain dress. The emerald tiar would have looked ridiculous. Eugenies dress was much better suited for the emerald tiara. In fact, Eugene's dress reminded me of a fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty. Catherine's dress was so delicate and lovely and the Tiarr she wore was also very well suited for her dress. The trouble with we Americans is that we dont know how to dress for the occasion. Furthermore, we don't have a good sense of propriety, much less protocol, especially Royal protocol.

It was also rumored that she "lost" a diamond bracelet that was loaned to her by the Queen. I'm guessing that the Queen was testing her honesty. I wasn't impressed with the wedding gown either. And why was she allowed to wear white since she was twiced divorced? My wedding gown had more details that hers and didn't cost thousands of dollars. It costed less that $600 during 1986. I found my dream wedding gown at the Emporium department store but had discovered a bridal discount store that carried the same style which saved me about a couple hundred dollars. And no, it wasn't David's bridal store. And the store that I brought it from also offered alterations so that it fitted my 5'3" frame better.
