My advice to small business owners. It's over. It's done. Politicians are getting their wish. They are only supporting big business since they are able to line their pockets. Small business does nothing for them. FYI: I had to close a business during the housing crash. So I have been there. I have learned that the sooner you face it and move on, the sooner you can get onto something new. My current business is doing fine and I have a good cash buffer. Well unless this thing goes on longer than 4 years.
I know this is unprecedented... But I TRULY feel like moments like this weed out bad business owners and managers.. no one is owed to have their business stay open.. if you weren't frugal and prepared for a rainy situation, then it simply means you probably weren't operating as best as possible.
Watching St Vincent on the Roku channel. No commercials. Come on people. Call up pepsi. Call up Coke. Tell them you are giving away Ad space for free. So they can check out your ad platform.
It's a dawn of a new day, sometimes it's best to shut down retool and figure out a new path, the world is no doubt going to be very different after this.. cut losses now.. dont be naive and think things are going back to how they were. Dont lever up with debt to prolong the death of a business that is no longer viable.
And the very first thing she says is she laid off all her workers and is concentrating on social media sales. The working class is doomed. The consolidation of power will just increase and inequality will skyrocket. Say goodbye to what little is left of the middle class.
Furloughed employees can get the enhanced unemployment benefits. What the employers really need to assist with is those with health Insurance benefits.
There should be no help for businesses, I know many who have millions in personal assets, but now claiming poverty? They should have been more prepared.
This was a complete waste of time to watch. Nothing substantial besides feeling bad for all the employees that lost their job. But as a business owner, this wasn't very helpful.
I know right? Employees are shmucks. They might lose their apartments or homes, pfft. But WE might lose our businesses! There is no way we can rebuild again, or create new products or verticals, or focus on more profitable areas, or apply for loans from the most capitalistic-centric government in the world! I wish someone would shut the trap of those damn employees!!!!
An absolute joke. Let's pile some debt on your debt to solve the problem when you have no idea when your cashflows will come back. Notice liquidity at the top is being provided at 0%.

6 months of emergency funds, don't depend on your "boss" to feed your family
businesses should do the same 6 months of business emergency savings too
zodain123 Facts. To add to that, don’t depend on anybody or any entity to feed your family for six months, not just “bosses”.

@@abesapien9930 that's totally the opposite of what I meant. Without the middle class, we will crumble down to chaos.

Do you personally know anybody who has died from covid-19? Don't tell me about some 80 year old you saw on TV or some heart attack victim.
