That's pretty smart to stock up your videos. Our bluegill here in Kentucky are about the size of that big blue cat you caught! If you can't catch the biggest fish, have a dandy lie to tell. 🤣

Jay's having an issue unhooking the mudcat.
If you take a piece of line, like nylon, loop it around the line/hook holding the fish. About 6" on the looped line, 6" on the line with the hook. Bring the looped line down to the hook by spreading the 2 lines apart. Then toss up and with the fish falling snatch the line tight. I wouldn't let Jay do it as you might get stuck by a cat while learning.
It's not much different than when you remove the hook from Granny's hand.
I wouldn't use it with rod and reel line as it might cut.

Flathead puts channel and mudcat to shame and probably blue too. Others say the same. Stripers good eating along the lines of Flathead.

I live where those hush puppy’s are made in Savannah TN. My recipe is 1 cup of meal 1/2 cup of butter milk pancake mix 1 egg 1 onion chopped fine black pepper to taste

I really wish you would keep some more of the big catfish. Is it better to take 1 larger then 10 5 pounders. and then show ho to clean the large one. How you make meal size bags. Out of a 20 pound size; How many meals you can get.
