I remember my dad taking me to local farm ponds in Illinois in the early 70s and we just loaded up on the gills and crappie, brought back some great memories Cole,thanks!
You guys have the best fishing show-- as you aren't afraid to go after blue gill and crappie on lightweight tackle- which shows your great skill level- When i was a kid i was using the original rapala minnow lures, hula poppers, mepps spinners (made in France) and Abu-Garcia reels and rods (Swedish). The larger blue two piece rapala floater with a sinker will tear up crappie all day long. Also the hula popper before dawn will take bass (floater) cast out and followed by ten seconds, then flicked once --- will take lunkers anywhere also near sunset where they are feeding. At either rate don't get bummed by the lake drain Consider it a challenge for you-- and show your loyal followers just how resilient you can be by searching out some newer locations. Another great videos. The kids are growing so fast. Enjoy them because the are grown before you can blink an eye!!! I have 3....13, 23 and 25. They all have grown up catching crappie and bluegill....we had rather eat fish than anything else.
Just walked in the door from a half day on lake Poinsett. It was a blast. Today was the first day of fog on the water. Bass were schooling and I couldn't go wrong with a 90 mm Choppo in Maverick color pattern and a Yamamoto Senko in Sapphire and pepper color. It was a good day!! All were 2 & 3 lbers. It's been a while for me
I don't remember, but have you ever striper fished on that lake (I know what lake you guys are on, my buddy and I fish it when I go down and visit from North Cebtral Arkansas). You guys definitely thrashed them, save us some dinner 😂. I wouldn't not of been able to handle, not having a catfish rod out. I would bet that the panfish magnet crawdad would work great on them beds or the berkley gulp cricket.
Post consistent and quality content. Have fun with it and when one vid takes off on a certain topic roll with it and follow up with vids on a similar topic
