20:37 Omg, I did not know that! I feel like knowing this new information will forever change that iconic scene for me. Like, ofc it'll always be one of the most iconic romantic scenes in movie history, but with me now knowing that Tobey was actually struggling to BREATHE in that moment, just forever changes the way I look at it... 😲
You did an AMAZING job with all the work you put into this! The Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy was my entire childhood, and has a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for this! 🙏💖🔥
The reason why the original trilogy was memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1 Without her, no one was able to stop AVI ARAD from destroying the franchise Spider-Man was nothing without her
sam raimi originally want it technical web shooters. Somehow they included that web shooters in the deleted scene with a different angle and small scenes that were extended in the deleted scene were peter practicing his web aiming. Dr octopus was going to be arnold the terminator himself and he is supposed to be the main villain instead of green goblin in cameron's version.
Still to this day.... i feel the Sam Raimi trilogy are the best Spider-man films. The back stories of the characters are amazing.... they feel real and believable. There is more depth to films I feel than the later films.
19:08 the only good thing Avi Arad did for Spider-Man. 22:41 is also a reference to an issue of Ultimate Spider-Man, goblin drops MJ off a bridge there too, I believe it’s the same bridge as the one in the movie, but I haven’t read that in a while.
It's more of a reference to the 90's animated series. It's obvious with the amount of similar shots, character personalities, and plot beats, that the Raimi Trilogy was also majorly inspired by the 90's animated series.
@@_ChoccooMilkk_ Look up Godzilla Mendoza's review of the 90's animated series. He goes over quite few of the similarities. However if you have Disney +, I'd highly recommend watching the show. It, the Raimi Trilogy, and the ultimate comics, are what got many people into Spider-Man and it's hard not to see why.
The storyboards are from the "Behind the Mask fo Spider-Man" book that goes over the pre-production and filming of Spider-Man 2002 and was included in the research for the video. Here's a link to check out the book for yourself: archive.org/details/behindmaskofspid00vazm (Sorry for the late reply!)
Bro ,you missed Leonardo DiCaprio ,Leo was the first actor who gonna played this character before Tobey 😅 and than Leo not interesting for this role ,and than he gave it to Tobey 😅
Where’d you get the storyboards from? I’ve been trying to look for them online but all I can find are the ones for the 2nd movie and a few from some behind the scenes videos.
@@HowItWasFilmed I think I checked out that book a bit a while ago. But I guess I weirdly don’t remember the storyboards much from it. Hope someday someone finds the storyboards for the first movie and shares & archive them online. Someone already did that with the storyboards of the second movie. So I guess only time will tell.
See How They Filmed the Anakin vs Obi-Wan Fight!

Such dedication from Dafoe. Actors like him who are so invested in giving us a good performance makes the pricey movie ticket worth it.

6:03 funnily enough, We do see Sandman and Electro's own dynamic interaction on No Way Home
Heath Ledger was considered to play Spider-Man I need to find a universe where this happened
I see him more like Venom.
“You wanna know how I got this bite?”😏😏😏
Great video! would love to see a 101 facts video on Spider-Man 2 & 3 as well 👀

Great video , would love a Spider-Man 2 fact video
Very good video! I know it can be a lot of work but I do think these videos could gain a large following

This video made me appreciate the film a thousand times more. Great work!
The tracking camera was a great idea and it always bothered me how the future reboots never incorporated them.
very very good video

There's part of the movie where you can see they removed Peter's webshooters.
The actual start of fictional comic book era... sure dc and marvel has created their versions of stuff before but this was the start...!
We really need to have full blown retrospective documentaries on the making of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
underrated video
21:42 That looks dark brown to me. It looks the same as in the other scenes, I just thought it was under different lighting or something. Lmao

so now we know where the death of gwen stacy comes from
Would love to see more spider man movie facts
Tobey Maguire is my favorite Spider-Man
Really information. Can you told about the phrase 'tally ho' both in the spiderman and the swinging scene of Ash in evil dead
Why did you stop making videos?

Is the narrator the guy from "FilmComicsExplained"? He sounds so eerily like him.
You mean to tell me J K SIMMONS WAS BALD AND THEY DIDN'T MAKE HIS HAIR LOOK LIKE THAT? My life is a lie

Wrong bro that's was with James Cameron with another studio 😂
the goofy ahh sounds of the screen test XD
The twin towers scene was always meant to be just for the trailer bc the movie came out in may and 911 was September so that wasn’t the reason
Ya but they filmed in 2001 man
