I don’t usually comment on children’s dances, but that opening scene with the color-coordinated children doing the Polonaise was too precious. I loved it. I am of Polish ancestry and delight in anything Polish. Nicely done. It was a beautiful compilation of the youth and others carrying on a beautiful tradition
Anything that has to do with polish culture and music is very close to my heart, specially the folk music that my very dear composer Frédéric chopin put to some of the most beautiful, gentle, sad at times but always very beautifully arranged,it is a delight to listen not only his polonaises but all the other genres that he composed;mazurkas, ballades, scherzos, nocturnes, waltzes, preludes, etudes, etc, etc,I adore it all

Gorgeous, absolutely beautiful - how respectful of one's country and traditions! The attire, the dresses, the manners, ... it reminds me of Prom night or even Sock Hops from my younger days (we had a student/film hall for those and did not have to remove our shoes). There was innocence, mutual respect, and values that were to prepare us for life as adults. Thank you for sharing this student's film. Thank you for the memories, Ciao, L (Baby Boomer, Maine, USA)
I am very interested in this video because of my intensive study of Chopin. It was fascinating to hear such tempo variation in these recordings, it completely did not answer my question about finding the 'proper' Polonaise tempo :D . However, it DOES tell me to focus instead on the stately, noble feeling, unhurried and elegant, no matter the tempo. The comparison of many polonaise dances was the perfect thing I needed, thank you. This remix at the end made me laugh so hard

@@Populous3Tutorials Chopin was ethnically half Polish (on mother's side). His father was a French (who moved to Poland and spoke Polish too).
