Does this seem confusing or complex? Watch the quickstart videos to understand the basics of how zoia works ua-cam.com/video/IsNusPfswF4/v-deo.html also please note (thanks to Steve Fernandez's comment below) the 2 VCA's can be efficiently replaced by a single module called "Audio Balance"
Nice one again! I have my Zoia for a few week now. It's so much fun! I love it! Granular it's a great module... I like to control pitch with midi note and midi clock to sync the granular parameter with the tempo of the external sequencer. Or use the sequencer module to control everything with a few CV and Gate tracks. Yes,I know... I'm a obsessed with control. I tell you before but thank you for your great work. You have make my learning curve easier.
BTW why did you use 2 VCA? it seems more practical to use a audio balance module. I know it's not exactly the same but it is the more efficient way to make wet/dry signal. Thanks again! Keep up the good work!!!!
Since I watched your video about FM synthesis with the Deluge, I definitely want to get the Deluge. I was wondering if anyone had the Deluge and the Zoia, because I thought they would pair well together. You just proved how great it is to work with them. Thank you, Ron !
Wow, this module is putting the zoia on my radar heh. You could easily pay the full price of a zoia for something that *only* does granular, or you could get a zoia and have a billion good sounding possibilities
Nice sounds! Can you tell how much cpu usage is spent in this patch? I want to buy a ZOIA but i'm afraid from getting to the maximum cpu usage too quickly
You probably know or don't care all this time later, but I just tried out the granular module and it looks like ~7% CPU for a single grain, stereo input module there.
Double yes. I bought mine specifically to have something that would work in my solo setup, which uses an iPad, a looper pedal that accepts midi clock, and a bunch of pedals with midi presets (mostly Chase Bliss stuff). Get yourself an adapter as Ron suggests and you can feed audio into the Zoia. But get yourself an interface that'll send midi in/out of the iPad (like the IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo) and you can have your Zoia send patch changes to your iPad!
It's a digital modular programming platform, similar to cycling74 max which does require menus for such a tiny form factor. I personally love it. Not for everyone, but when done programming you save a preset and use it.
@@RonCavagnaro ok but "another gear connected to it" is not the zoia anymore. It is using another gear to expand zoia's capabilities. The zoia on itself is just a pain in the ass to use live. I must be a very good companion to the deluge tho.

sounds fascinating in any case (:

@@drgwon I'm still new with zoia so you just taught me something new lol

That is lovely. The sounds you get here are fantastic. Digital pedals have come a looooong way!
Whats the best way to go between move between dry/wet????? I find most eff to be waaaaay to wet on this one!
Such great videos on this, would love to see more!
This really hits me on a granular level.

Fantastic demo.
How did you get the initial setting when you start? There are already lights in place? How do you set those up? Thanks
Audio in audio out. I'm sure I went over those in earlier videos make sure to watch those
They're all the way up to 5.0 now!
@@RacismIsOK yes this was a very old video herh

Ah I can't recall.. didn't save it. I think somewhere on the zoia group they had a cpu usage page

@@jamesstonehouse3448 Thanks! :)
Impressive
What a great little device. Would it work with an iPad?
If you can get any audio signal into it via 1/4" cord yes

too many menus and submenus

@@RonCavagnaro yeah but even with a saved preset. You're pretty limited with that 1 knob ;D
@@aken2348 that is not true. You can use external knobs and program cc to any parameter.

@@aken2348 I find using gear together is key, period. I can't say that zoia isn't good. It's absolutely amazing.
