neither. it intrigues me. not enough to go out and buy one, but i'm still wondering if i could do some interesting stuff with it. do you think the Axe FX 3 has most of this stuff covered?
Preset 26 - Floating Seeds. I made that one! Thanks for giving it a play. The left footswitch freezes the granular loop for some more Microcosm vibes :)
@ Floating Seeds was loosely based on one of the micro loop presets in the microcosm (preset C, I think - I sold my MC a while ago!). It’s basically two granular modules, one at pitch, the other an octave higher, with a very slow lfo sweeping the filter. There’s also a dual delay going on, and some reverb for good measure.
This video reminds me of myself almost 30 years ago when I was playing around with my first guitar multi fx unit. Lots of crazy sounds, but not a lot I would actually like to use in a song.
Had mine since they released it, well worth it if you are a bit of a tinkerer. Good to know for us that dont need the stereo functionality is that you can build patches that use the four cable method. Right channel can act as guitar in and out and left channel as fx send return. Opens up another set of possibilities.
@@sellesellout4732 yes I have had mine since release too. I’ve used it for so many things. At the moment it’s on my back up board in the loop of an HX stomp. The reverbs are better than the stomp and I create my own Tri chorus which again I prefer to the stomp. I also use MIDi to add controllers like LFOs and Envelope filters to the stomp algos. Then there is the sampler 😀 what a killer pedal!
My initial reaction was "WAY too many lights an buttons for my tiny aging brain." But then I thought, what better way to fight off atrophy of any kind than messing with something new and truly innovative? Especially when it it gives you a reverse delay that sounds like that.
I love to play with pedals, and love to play guitar also…seems like I would love this baby! I have so many pedals, I only buy very unique ones these days! Thanks Leon….I love your videos, they have influenced my purchases many times!
I'd get completely lost in this thing and forget to eat. They'd find my dessicated corpse a couple months later with some weird noises still coming out of my rig...
Oooo good 13 mins of this... You know Leon you should be the out- back law with your legend known throughout the Aussie sands... Did you listen to glen fry live in dubin 1992 , what a bass player and did you recognize the saxist ? Played on Al stewarts year of the cat ..Lupin did 😺 😺 sounding like Jimi there ....pretty impressed by you and that empress.. you are definitely the desperado tonight gunning and grinning down alot of riffs sounds of your own into your own again ... Went by way to fast mate 🌏
Some really interesting sounds and platform for the experimentalists. The thing that concerns me about this type of interface with 47 buttons and one knob is that each one is potentially a physical point of failure. Odds are high of something going wrong. I tend to prefer software over hardware when it comes to complexity.
I really like that Glitchy Tape. Some of the sequenced stuff reminds me of the AdrenaLinn. I don't think there's a place in my rig for this, but it's pretty neat - between the Axe FX and my various synth bits, probably redundant and too much overlap to justify.
Hey Leon, is there any way you can show us how you are plugging your Zoia into the AXE FX? I have everything in the fx loop of the Axe FX 3, but I have no idea how to run the effects before the amps - like the drives of the Zoia. Thank you!

Does the ZOIA excite you or terrify you?

Both this and the Kaoss Pad trigger my creativity and my non-existent epilepsy.
Excite
Just intrigued, and that is a good thing in the long run
Thank you for convincing me this can be used with a guitar. I wonder how it compares with an H90 and/or big sky, not the synth part of course.

microcosm you say?!

@ feels like this zoia can really replace a lot of different pedals.
@ yep. It’s also a brilliant problem solver for other things like creative audio routing, sampling, MIDI controller, it’s so handy.

Great point, having any option you like makes this super versatile

This is my favourite pedal of all time.
Holy bob! Just bought a used one for my synths, not for a moment did I think of this in a guitar situation, thank you! 🙏
Mine is arriving in the mail today. This is new territory for me. I really hope i can figure this thing out as it seems absolutely amazing.
It's a new kind of beast for sure, but a lot of fun once you dig in.
@LeonTodd ill be binging your channel among others on insight on how to work this thing. Appreciate what you do. Keep it coming

Good attitude !!!!
Tonal sudoku!
Your contents are pure gold thanks a lot!
Glad you like it!
Far too complicated, but lots of flashing lights is good! You made it sing though. What a guitar hero!!
6:37 mind blown

It's a fantastic pedal if you're looking for something unique it's like a whole room full of fx in one
Damn, well done! The intro riffs were top tier tasty.
Much appreciated!

Just bought one, didn’t realize it doesn’t include a powersupply. Well time to learn this promising pedal
You'll love it!
My board is based around a Zoia from the time I bought it some years ago... Great pedal!

This is like using the pad from native instruments and skrillex button options in a guitar pedal.
Spot on with the Dark Side of the Moon.
That Fat Synth was awesome.
So impressed by that. You can turn extra functions on and off with the soft buttons for that one too.

Go back to that really cool sound a minute ago...
" I cant, I have no idea how"! 😂😂😂
Lt. Uhuru: Open a channel
Looks like a control panel from a 1970’s sci-fi movie. Me like.🙂
Nostromo vibes
And then there's the whole MIDI side, incl. pitch-to-MIDI and polyphonic synth building blocks. And then there's the sampler.
Dammit, what's the term for "I don't *need* it, I NEEED it?" Cheers from Canuckistan for making my wallet cry.
G.A.S!
@@LeonTodd *sigh* I guess, lol
Zoia the Destroya oooo lights

Basically a variation of one of these - studio.ua-cam.com/users/videoyc5q9tzoUGQ/edit
@LeonTodd Thank youu!!!
Now plug the output of this into a Microcosm and see where it goes from there.
🎸😎✌🏻
Too complicated? More than two switches? Probably 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
The mikko pedal does all the same wired sounds
People can see that comment on the internet. 😂
