I appreciate all the updates, ESPECIALLY "Day 14", when the bottom had darkened but it didn't have roots yet. That's the time when I start worrying that the cutting is rotting, when often it's not.

How u removed blackness after day 14.. mine plant started rotten...
I took off the rotten leaves and wiped off the part on the stem with the darkening.

So you had to cut it twice because when you took it out the water, it was dark and slimy, right?
It is the cutting from day 1, I just did not film when i remove the dying leaves below the stem.
Will the new plant eventually grow tall and have a trunk? How long will that take?

My corn plant on a couple of the large leaves got these cicle looking things on them they are almost hard to see .almost the same color as the leaf but not if that makes any sense .like if a person is just starting to get ring worm .what is that .
The plant doesnt get root rot from the roots sitting in the bottom of that pot, likely in water?
No, as long as not all the roots are soaking in the solution.
