This is how comparison videos should be done. Clear audio, quick edits to each model, great playing and some helpful opinions at the end. I loved watching this video, great work.
Thanks for your comment! I have many guitar performance videos on my channel, please watch.
Great points.
Nothing worse than someone who plays for 5 minutes on each guitar and expects the viewer to keep it fresh in their heads when they switch instruments.
This review by Peng is exactly how a comparison video should be done.
I just wish there was a bit more strumming of open chords which is what many of us will be doing for at least half the time.
Other than that minor complaint...outstanding video comparison.
I just subscribed.
I initially came here for the guitars, but I regularly come back for your playing and arrangements being so superb.
Thank you for watching! please subscribe to my channel, I publish new videos every month, I have been learning guitar performance and audio /video production related techniques for a long time.
Thank you, Peng!
For the third time I went and played over 50 guitars planning on buying the Martin that I would never part with, never want or need another guitar. I bought a Yamaha AC1R for $479.
I would have spent up to $3,500 on a Martin. The AC1R was sooooooo gooooood, I didn't even want to wait to play an A3 or an 5A, even knowing how good Red Label Yamaha's are.
Brave reviewers are doing blind comparisons with skilled friends and musicians between Recording King, Epiphone Master Builds, Alvarez, Yamaha's vs. Martins and doing extremely well with the so-called, not-so-any-longer lesser brand.
Never before has there been so much exquisite mastercraft and musicality available, including at the lower price ranges. I'm happy for the Taylor and Martin marketing juggernauts, I'm happy for their successes, innovations, rabid fans and historical gravitas, but there are dozens and dozens of commercial and niche market luthiers producing absolutely amazing instruments. This golden age of acoustic guitars just keeps getting goldener and goldener.
Thank for sharing your experiences with the acoustic guitars, I think acoustic guitars became more and more popular than electric guitars, people like to listen more Acoustic guitar music rather than listen heavy /busy rock music, since acoustic guitar music usually are quieter and more sweeter. As a teacher , I found students request much more acoustic guitar lessons than electric guitar lesson.
Thank you! This is by far one of the most informative, thorough, objective and intelligently produced reviews I have ever seen! Your review technique of editing the guitars seamlessly allows one's ear to hear the immediate shift in sound and should stand as an exemplar for all other guitar reviews. Additionally, your discovery of the battery box being the source of such a strange and seemingly unusual defect is impressive. Furthermore, your suggested fix for the narrow nut is such a simple and elegant resolution that I will certainly benefit from. I have XXL hands and I have trouble finding nuts/string spacing that is ergonomic for me. I am both surprised that I've never heard of a solution such as yours and I'm also slightly embarrassed that I never thought of it. Again, I commend and thank you for such a sophisticated, valuable and informative review. Lastly, your original song and your arrangements are just beautiful. Please keep producing such valuable videos! P.S. If it's not already obvious, I'm a fan. Btw, so is my wife.
Thank you very much for watching all the details on my video. This is the longest comment I ever received. Some old Taylor guitars have silghtly wider nut which is easier for big hands players, such as Taylor 815CE, I have new a video linked below .

That's the best rendition of moon River I ever heard. Just gorgeous! Oh, and my favorite of these guitars are the AC5r. Although with Yamahas, I prefer the LS36, or Ls56. They're just awesome for the price point as well.
Thanks for your comment! The AC5R is my favorite too. Click the link below to watch my full video of Moon River.

Perfect review, very helpful! I listened twice without looking at the screen, and my favorite guitar was the same each time: the AC3M.
Ac3m is a nice model, fingerboard is little narrower then the A1 and A5 model. Try it to see it fits your hands, thanks for watching it twice! I also have other videos , please watch, some were played by ac5R model
Wow! A lot of work went into making this video. Beautiful instruments. Beautiful playing. Cool style, it really shows off the sound of those guitars.
I had been working very hard to create my own playing style /sound for years. Including guitar modifications , study music and video production , music education , this short video includes lots of my work. Thank you very much for supporting my channel!
Best demo of Yamaha acoustic guitars on UA-cam! I decided to get the A5R.
Thanks for watch!
I wish all reviews were done this way! Very informative. Love your song and renditions of Moon River. Thank you so much! You play beautifully.
Thank you so much for your comment! I will try my best make more review or guitar performance videos.
Thank you for taking time to do this great Video. I’m sold on A5R, I was initially gonna buy a Taylor 210CE (I prefer Rosewood Back & Sides) but then came across with Yamaha and I think it will be a great fit. Love your playing style as well !
The A5r is a great one! I am very glad my video helps. Enjoy your new guitar!
Wow! One of the best guitar demos in the history of UA-cam. Thank you!

Great playing sir! Yamaha makes exceptional musical instruments, I have a japanese LLX25c and it has nothing to fear when compared to the more celebrated brands. The AC5r is the one I prefer in this comparison and anyway the Series 5 made in Japan is a notch above 3 and 1 made in China that sound great too.
Thanks for your comment and sharing your experience! I had more performance videos on this channel by using the Yamaha ac5r guitar, feel free to watch!
Very good review. I just bought the ac3m deluxe and love it. Thank you for this comparison.
I am so glad it helps, enjoy your new guitar!
I like the AC3M the best. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic comparison. I have the AC1R and love it dearly. It has incredibly sweet overtones. Great for fingerpicking and strumming. Yamaha's artist line plays above its price tag. Great guitars for the money. I have also had great luck with Ibanez Artwood's and Alvarez Masterworks. While they don't get the attention of the big brands, it's amazing how far guitar production has improved at a reasonable price point.
Guitars are getting better for affordable prices, I am glad to see more people enjoy playing guitars.
An all around great comparison video. The gold standard. Nice job!
Thank you for your comment!
Very professional and informative. I just bought the AC3M today.

Excellent comparison of all. I have a Yamaha ll-ta and love it, but want a cutaway acoustic as well. You just sold me on the AC5R, thanks for your great informative video!

Excellent work Peng. I love my A5R (and my FGX5).
Nice guitars! Thanks for watching!
Which do you like more?
@@nharry9763 I like AC5R, I feel more comfortable for its body style.
Thank you very much for the informative and entertaining video! I was initially considering the rosewood version, but once I heard the mahogany version, it seemed to stand out a little more. The rosewood's sound seems closer to a nylon string classical guitar, and thus warmer. I'm considering the AC5M for the slightly brighter sound, and hope no modifications will be necessary out of the box.
The AC5M is a nice one, hope it doing well for you, thanks for leaving your comment!
Thanks for doing this! I can really hear the difference between the all solid wood models and the layered back and side models.
Thank you! I am glad it helps.
Bravo!
Thank you for your advice and nice playing!

This is an excellent review. I appreciate your work and advice on how you set up the guitars, and I enjoyed your arrangements and original compositions.
Thank you very much for your comment!
That's such a good video! I've been playing guitar for over 30 years & have never played one worth more than £50 so thought it's time to get something better. I really want the top of the range & wasn't sure if I'd even notice the difference between that & the cheaper models. The examples you play here make the difference in quality unmistakable! I'm now convinced!

Best comparison out there. thank you! 👍

Great demo of the Yamaha A series. I’m impressed by the plugged-in tones on the A5 and A3. Thank you. Great playing, too!

Since I had been in music teaching, stage performing, recording /producing, guitar repairing businesses for more than 30 years, I fully understand the most important parts and informations for guitarist, I tried make the video short and simple.
Best review on these yet, thank you so much!
Really amazing arrangements. Can hear the tone differences. Ac5r seems to have a cleaner sound at least to my inexperienced ears. Am considering the AC5r now, thanks!
Thanks for your comment! I like AC5r, I published many video recording by playing the Ac5r.
Thank you for your review. Very thought provoking and beautiful. You have pointed out many things in the design which i will take to heart as a beginner.

Thanks! I bought a A1M and traded it in on a AC1R. Would like to move up to an AC3R or 5 R some day. Yamaha makes good stuff!
I bought an AC3R two years ago and it has become my absolute favorite guitar to gig with. I would highly recommend it. It cost just under a grand and it sounds/feels phenomenal. In that price range, it blows any other one away that I've played. Just my opinion, of course.
Thanks James! I’m going to pull the trigger on a 3R.
@@jamesdewolf5907 what exactly did you have a problem with ac3r? tell me more, I have fgx 830 c it seems as if the sound starts a little, ie the background is small, I think it is worth changing to ac3 r or LL16 with a passive pickup .

@@ПавлоВенгерко I definitely think it would be worth it to get the AC3R! The pickups in it are what Yamaha calls "Atmosfeel" and they are very versatile sound wise; much better than the stock Fishman Piezos I had been used to dealing with prior to owning this guitar. I would 100% recommend that you pick one up. I'd be shocked if you didnt end up loving it. Good luck!
This is a fantastic comparison! I've Seen many videos about these Yamaha guitars, but this is the best. Very helpful, amazing playing and recording, and a very sympathic guy. Thank you and greetings from Germany.

Please do!
What I learned from this video is that playing is everything and the guitar makes minimal difference. That said I like the A5R.
That is right, I keep learning and practicing, that is everything! Make sure you have a good action on the guitar, it will make learning faster and easier to play better levels. Then when you have a chance upgrade a better guitar within your price range. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe, I will have more videos coming.
The video is wonderfull, a big help for me!!! thank you!

Excellent video, exceptional playing. I can’t wait for my A3M to get here. My FA-TA is superb I think Yamaha makes the best guitars for the money l love them!
I hope you enjoy your Yamaha A3m guitar! Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Great playing, of course...but also incredibly informative video. I recently played one of these and was quite impressed and considering buying...your video answered many questions about the sound of each. I have watched many videos over the last two days about these guitars, yours by far was the most helpful and entertaining as well!
Thanks for your comment!
Along with your playing I really like your luthier suggestions at the end. Very nice video.
Thank you for watching and sharing your comments!
Spectacular job!
Thank you!
It's nice to see the diference between the Mahogany and Rosewood back and sides when playing the same body model. To my ears, I liked the Mahogany on the Dreadnought and the Rosewood on the Grand Concert. I have an AC3M and I really think there is a little too much mid that is already a characteristic of this model but seems to be accentuated by the Mahogany and I really liked what I heard from your Rosewood model here. In the other hand, the lack of mid on the Dreadnought model was very well filled by the Mahogany on this model that made is very more nice for recordings. Nice, nice, nice.. learned a lot here! Awesome job on this. On my AC3M I also suffering with a strange noise that sounds like a fret buzz, but really don't seems to be the case, I will revisit the battery holder and preamp mounts. Thanks for that as well!
I think your guitar may need fret leveling job, I did it on my ac3m before I sold it to one of my student, plays much better with low and easy action, cleaner sound on all frets, I also have a video played by ac3m, ua-cam.com/video/tqZTl_oW2Ww/v-deo.html
Nice comment
Dude.. you are good. I thought i was listening to Tommy Emmanuel ...Wow fantastic playing. Yamaha guitars are wonderful and a great value.
Thanks! Tommy is one of my favorite guitar masters! Please subscribe, more videos are coming to my channel.
Thank you, master. I now can hear the 5s provide deeper sound and lower resonance than the 3s.
5s definitely worth the price, it has better quality wood, better preamp, better made on all details vs the 3s. Thanks for your comment!
Very informative. Thanks a lot!
Excellent video. Your playing is beautiful and inspiring also👍
Thanks!

Wish I would’ve seen this when I was shopping last summer. I ended up getting an AC3M DLX, and I love it. It sounded better than Taylors and Martins I was checking out (and they costs a lot more). Also, you have some sick playing!
Thanks for your comment!
I had the same problem with the battery compartment on my Yamaha Fgx800c. I have the A5R on order. Thanks for the video!
Thanks ! It is easy to fix the battery problem.
@@pengchen634 Love the guitar again now that it's worked out. Just great guitars from Yamaha!
I love this Yamaha series of guitars. I would go into Guitar Center stores, weekly--over the course of a year, just to play this line of guitars when they came out. I finally made an offer on a A5R on Reverb and got it just before Christmas 2018. Love the bell-like chimes and clarity of the notes on this guitar! The A.R.E. wood torrefaction technology really makes the spruce top sound like a guitar that's nearly 20 years older. Still, I lust after the AC3M and even the A1M from time to time, though...
Great! Enjoy it!
AC3M (maybe AC3R too) hit the sweet spot
Anyone watching this, if you can find a black sunburst A1M, just compare it to the rest.. it sounds sooooooo good and much better than the standard sunburst A1M like in the video. I was lucky my local guitar shop had one in stock and I jumped on it. Now the problem is it sounds so good while I practice that it puts me to sleep!! No joke. I had to change back to Elixir 80/20 after putting on the XS Diaddario 80/20 just so it didn’t sounds so soothing!!!
Yes, the same model A1M guitars could have different sound qualities, depending the wood. Thanks for watching please subscribe.
Great, thorough comparison. Thanks!

Really appreciate you putting this comparison video together. Have been watching your other videos, specifically with the AC5R. Just purchased one this last weekend. Do you teach at any of the academy’s local to Los Angeles?
I haven’t find a chance to teach in any local academy in Los Angels yet, it will be nice. I teach some Private students over zoom internet lessons, feel free to email me Johnchen66@gmail.com if you need. I am writing my finger style guitar beginner to advance books and videos, hope I can finish it soon . Thanks for your comment!
To my ear A5R is best sounding unplugged and A5CR is best sounding plugged in
I agree, when plug in A5r , it has more bass I need, I use eq to drop some low ends at 100 to 120 hz, sounds good too, I made the video without any eq on all tracks.
thanks for watching!
Great presentation, thanks! Nice playing too btw.
AC3M, sounds best for my taste. More focused, warmer sound.
M/R : mahogany or rosewood.
C , (for Concert) : smaller & deeper bodies than the others, which are dreadnought.
5-type only are MIJ, 3 are the same, but MiPRC ; 1 have lower specs.
1,000 bucks difference between 5 and 3-types though...
Love the head design.
I wished Yamaha changed the graph of their name, so uninspiring, so eighties, synth back like.... their round logo would be so much better for their quality guitars. If I had a yamaha guitar, i would black tape it, so ugly it is and not up to those superb instruments.
It is actually the first time I would consider buying a brand new Yamaha.
Already have an old 70s 12 string, open slot, which I love, shimmery sounds.
Thanks for leaving your comment! Yes, C mean concert, smaller body than the dreadnought size body.
A5M all the way.
Closed my eyes this time so the names didn't influence my decision.
Picked the A5M on all three demos.
Great choice!

Wish the A5 r came without a cutaway. The AC 3M is a killer
Brilliant made !
Thank you very much for watching!
Absolutely amazing playing Mr. Chen. Also, great video structure to compare the tone as accurate as possible. I did struggle a little bit when comparing the A5R and AC5R, maybe a strumming pattern in your next reviews would be useful to consider.
Can you also comment on the difference in feel/playability between those two bodies? Does the AC5R feels a little/reasonably/a lot more confortable than the A5R?
Thank you very much!
The AC5R has smaller body, easier for me to hold, it produces less bass then A5R , more balance sound for recording, which make it easier for post audio mixing, I don’t have EQ a lots to kill low frequencies.
A5R is louder, more bass, very nice sounding too, if keep a little far away to the mic, or keep trying different mic positions, you may get a balance sounding on recording,
which doesn’t need too much EQ on post to keep its sound more natural.
Thanks for watching and left your comment, I have more guitar performance videos on this channel, please subscribe .

Thank you for the video. If it is possible, could you please add Yamaha FGX5/FSX5 to this comparison.
Good evening and congratulations for the video .. and for the fantastic execution ..
I bought the AC5R it sounds very good but I found a fairly important curvature of the soundboard .. I ask if you have found this detail .. Thanks
Hi this is amazingg!! plese make sound comparison of these amazing Yamaha guitars .... FGX5 .....A5R .... LL16 .... I love your videos ... tres bien .... j'adoure!!!
Thanks for your comment! At this time, I don’t have Yamaha FGX5 , LL16 guitars, maybe later when I have chance to play them .
Thanks for the video, I also like the sound of the rosewood guitar, I would like to be able to compare it to a Taylor 714
as far as sound quality is concerned.
Taylor 714 is a great sounding one, I have many videos recorded by Taylor 815ce, you may watch them. Thanks!
Thanks for the video Mr. Chen. I’m about to buy a A5R , what kind of adjustment did you made on this model ? Thanks.
I tried a few A5R, AC5R and A5M guitars, the actions are almost perfect, I lowered action slightly on the nut and bridge on my AC5R, also adjusted the truss rod to make the neck has a very little front bow to keep it playing clear notes. Thank you for stopping by my channel.
Hi Peng, it's an excellent review. By the way, would you mind having a look at a label on one of the A5 guitars to check if there's a line written in Russian on it (under the 'Yamaha Corporation' line)? If yes, it's may be the reason of some of the imperfections you have mentioned since the guitar is intended to be used by a Russian.
I sold my A5 guitars , I checked another one, my friend’s A5R, there is no line written in Russian on the label. Thanks for your comment!
A5M, I own one! 😁👍
Excellent content. I'm really interested in the A5R. Just wondering if you encountered the same setup issue i.e. nut spacing and battery rattle on the A5R?
I did much less adjustments on A5R , it almost perfect when it is new the box, i just slightly lowered the nut and bridge , it does not have the spring spacing problem, but I used to have a few times of battery rattle problem on it. Most time don’t.
Thanks for watching!
Good guitar test.
Thank you for watching !
Great video and comparison. Love it for keeping it simple. I have an FG830 and debating to trade it for LL6 or A1M. Would like your advice on that. I am still pretty new to guitar but want to get something as one guitar to connect to amp or regular play. Love the FG830 but want to know your thoughts with LL6 and A1M for playability, action and build quality compared to FG830. Thanks in advance and happy holidays.
I tried Fg830 before, it has a slightly fatter neck vs A1M, A1M has basic electric preamp builtin, make it easier if you want play with a amp, I haven’t tried LL6 yet.
Thanks for supporting my channel!
Thanks for the great video. Very nice arrangements. I have an LL500 which is a great sounding rosewood and I need a mahogany guitar for warmer sounding strumming. Which one would you recommend? Is AC3M suitable? I think I'm also looking for a little more comfortable body size.
Thanks Peng
You are welcome!
Thank you Mr. Chen for your great great comparison of these A Series guitars.. If I may ask, I want to know if there are any sound/tonal quality differences between AC3R and AC5R in case you had tried both guitars? If there are minimal differences and those were only due to different nut and saddle materials between those 2 models, I could do my own setup and upgrade. I'm rather hard pressed to spend those extra money on the 5 series..
The AC5R is made by better quality wood than AC3R, it should has better sound, the price is higher too. Thanks for your comment!
Awesome video man, what guitar would you prefer in general for both strumming and fingerstyle, ac5r or a5r? Is ac5r loud enough?
Tasa Cvetanovic they both are very good, a5r is louder and has more bass , I like ac5r, i hold it easier, it has enough volume for micing , less bass more balanced sound and easier for me to EQ at post production. Try to hold both guitar , see which one feels better to you. If you select a good micing position for a5r guitar will do a great sounding recording too. Thanks for watching my video!
@@pengchen634 Thank you. Cheers!!
Awesome comparison! I bought an A3R a week ago, it's very good sounding acoustically, but there's significant amount of white noise when plugged in using the SRT2 pickup. Have you noticed anything like that? I'm debating whether to return it or exchange for a AC5R or A5R.
No, I always use the str2 preamp plus micing when I do recording for my video and guitar lesson online, never have any noise issues on the str2 line in channel. I just published a new video by using this way to do the audio recording and mixed at post.
m.ua-cam.com/video/IPG9IJe328U/v-deo.html&feature=share
I would suggest changing a new battery, or another better cable, should be short cable not more than 10 ft, check the gain is not too big for the line in on the mixer input channel. If all this steps are not working for you, the preamp may be bad.
Django Reinhard or what piece IS IT? Well Performer with very good sound for comparison. My problem I like them all!

I like the R’s (rosewood back and side), sounds better to me when do a solo piece, the M’s body (Mahogany back and side) sound brighter, is also very nice, sounds good when mixed with other instruments . Thanks for leveling your comment!
I own a new martin om28.. pretty awesome already but waiting for it to age..I've played different higher end Yamaha guitars in the past and they always deliver in quality and sound right out of box. Not sure how they age though??
@@oliver7763 aged acoustic guitar usually sounds better than the new ones, not sure these Yamaha models, they should last long time , sound should improve after years playing. Thanks for leaving your comment!
Peng, very nice comparison video. You cover all the bases and provide a thorough analysis. I purchased a AC5R and used this video among others to make that decision. Nice playing also sir... I'd love to see you do the LL series.
The Ac5R is my favorite, I am glad this video helps. Please subscribe and check out my other performance videos. Thank you very much for watching and leaving your comment!
@@pengchen634 Have you tried any of the LL16D and up guitars, if so any thoughts on that series?
@@edwright3219 no, I didn’t have a chance to try that model yet. The Ac5r is good for me, I stay with it.
Excellent and informative video. I am thinking about buying a Taylor 414ce-R. It costs $2,599. I liked the AC3 that I played a lot but it was slightly mid heavy w/laminated sides. The new Taylors have a new V bracing that really hurts their base response. The older (pre-2018) have the X brace which is too base heavy. I hesitate to buy a used 4+ year old guitar for ~$1,500-$2,000.
Do you think the AC5R-R is a good compromise? Your Taylor 815CE and playing of "Yesterday" sounded great. Did that one have the V or X bracing- would you pick it over the AC5R?
The AC5R is the model I keep, it does not have a big volume output as A5R, but it’s bass and treble is more balanced for recording, the A5 guitars have more bass and volume than the Ac5R, if you adjust the mic position and do some post works, it sounds very full. My Taylor 815 is a older model made in year 2000, I am not sure it’s bracing, it’s bass and treble are in good balance, it has a little wide nut, easier for finger style. Both yamaha and Taylor are good ones when micing their acoustic sound, when plug in amp or sound card, I think the yamaha do better job.
Thanks for your comment! Hope this will help.

Hi, how would you compare the A 5 series made in Japan to the LL26 and LL36 also made in Japan. Thank you. Also great video!!
I don’t have a chance to try the LL26 and LL36 guitar yet, but I am sure they are great sounding ones.
Just received my A5R. Looks and sounds beautiful. Thanks for your informative review. But I have a question. I checked the first fret string clearance a found it ranges from .018” on the high e to 0.027” on the A. I could easily file a bit out of the A string groove on the nut as I have the files and a dial indicator gauge for string height. Is the A string different enough from the others that you would do this if it were your guitar?
I lowered all 6 strings on nut of my AC5R, but before I did it I check and adjusted the guitar neck, make it has slightly front bowed when it is standard tuning and let it stay for a few days, then I lowered the nut by using the right size tools. I didn’t measure them , I just make them feels right when I touch. The A5 models are closed to low action for what I need, just a little adjustment on nut and bridge.
If you don’t have the right tools or enough experience, please bring it to professional repair man.
I recently made a new bridge by using a piece of blank unbleached bone for my AC5R, surprised me, it improved the sound more solid and clear.
Thank you Peng Chun for a very instructive video, and a nice channel, I have subscribed.
I currently use the Yamaha APX 1200 II and APX 600FM for my live performances (different tunings), and the SRT pickup system really shines for the former. I mainly do fingerpicking and more mellow tunes. I’m aiming at replacing the latter, however, with something comparable to the former, and AC5R is my top contender, short of buying another APX 1200 II.
A) Have you had the chance to play the high-end APX for a comparison with AC5R, and if so, what are your thoughts in terms of plugged in performance? (Mostly finger picking style)
B) Do you have any advice on similar guitars in terms of performance and price range, that I might want to consider when replacing my APX600FM? (I.e., contender for APX 1200 II / AC5R).
I haven’t have a chance to try the Yamaha APX 1200 guitar yet, I like the SRT ii pickup system, for easy plug in stage performance, for studio, add another track with good micing, sounds much fuller. Other brand such as Taylor and Martin also sounds great when micing them, but their preamp systems may not be as good as the Yamaha SRT ii. Thanks for watching my videos!
@@pengchen634 thank you for your answer. The APX 1200 (II) is a real gem for a smaller body guitar and fingerpicking techniques, with the solid rosewood back and sides along with the SRT system. If you happen to pass by one make sure to try it out! I have had the same good experience with the the SRT (II) preamp system, for both live performances and for small home studio recordings. For the latter the system a real winner for me, as I record my songs in a home setting allowing only two channels, and recording one of them straight from the SRT preamp really sounds great combined with a condensator microphone (Rode NT2-A) for vocals and unplugged guitar ambience through the 2nd channel. I will probably go for an AC5R before the end of the year, thanks again for your feedback and keep up your nice work!
David F I checked the apx 1200 ii, higher price vs ac5R, I will test it when I have a chance, both of them have the same width of nut, 1 11/16 inch, I like the guitars which have 1 3/4 inch nut, easier for high lever finger style performance, that is the only thing I hope Yamaha can improve on some new models. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
