I am so glad that I re-watched this video. I have two MFTs setup with the Connector and been trying to figure out how to connect and use the protractor.
Great episode! I just purchased the extension table for my MFT3 and this video was perfect! I'm currently in the process of installing some random width white oak flooring in my upstairs master bedroom. Also, your tracksaw videos are a huge help! NYUK NYUK !
Ordered my MFT3 yesterday. I can't wait till it comes in!!!
Can’t believe how out of shape this guy is, but loved the video
Thanks for another great live episode! Offsetting the connectors and leaving a gap between tables makes total sense to reduce fence deflection. However, does the singular set screw per side still provide enough rigidity/stability? If not, this would be a great time for Festool to launch the longer Sedgerail edition.
Just bought one waiting for delivery!
29:48 "...whenever I get an MFT, folks, I just take it- put it to the back hole." LOL!
Well after watching this. I had to buy my MFT/3. There’s one thing you need to have is a something to hang the track saw off the table. Any ideas?
Education and humour your awesome
Would love to see how you set the MFT up to cut a 4 X 8 sheet on plywood. I'm thinking the only way is to set up 3 tables like Brent has in his shop. How thats crazy at $2400 plus. Got to figure how to do plywood sheet on 2 MFT?3 tables.
With all your 3 Stooges references, I’m surprised you haven’t used this one: “I’ll explain so even you’ll understand.”
Great vid. Thanks, Sedge.
Can you connect an old MFT/1080 to a new MFT/3? Are the heights the same and the bottom groove on the rail?
cool , thanks for the info .
im not sold on that gap in between the 2 tables fsstool should've thought something better , i keep them both tight to each other and use a table clamp to keep it square.
When are you guys starting your in person trainings again?
Even if it’s a shorter episode I’d be very interested in seeing what the rg130 can do. I’m pretty sure it solves a bunch of problems for me but I can’t find that much info on it nevermind talk to anyone who owns one
Everybody … just go straight to 4:38 woahhhhhhh!
If I hadn't already built my own MFT-style workbench, this episode would convince me to buy a pair of the MFT/3 work tables.
If Festool is reading this: I recently purchased the dashboard shortcut system. They might not be a true competitor yet but they will be. The quality of their products is at 11. I hope Festool will take note and innovate. It’s time.
And only a $1k more than Festool for a system with similar accessories! Haha
When will the KEB start to ship out? 6 month wait seems like a really long wait.
I ordered mine in 1/22 from Rockler. They gave up in May and canceled order. I reordered with Woodcraft in May 2022 and am finally getting mine at the end of 9/22. Looong wait for the KEB in California.
Hey Sedge, it’s Tingsboro, not Tynesboro, lol
Hopefully the floors are level at the job site for all those work tables connected.
I use shims and a level
I'm all but convinced that Sparky is deaf.
So you need 2 sets of the supports that's another $200 so now its a $1000 table. When you starts buying you will be broke and hooked for life. EXTRA'S EXTRA'S
whup, whup, whup
Love Festool just can't watching this guy, cut out the crap and get straight to the point
100%
I’ve had coworkers like this, all sales people
Wouuuuuuuuuu!
He’s just a simple man….with some cocaine.
I’m like just get to the point . It’s hard watching this . Throwing the parts around like it’s junk . Heavy breathing 😮💨 and the attitude!
Why isn't the dog wearing a mask?
this episode still comes up, kept avoiding it and yes punctually the most annoying part comes up first is the fact of not being able to upgrade a basic mft table with the guide rail. because festool doesn't sell it separately! disappointing.
Seems like they want you to buy the whole thing all over again.
Break out the parts list diagram and order up some replacement parts…
He needs to slow down I don't think he can breathe
Sorry. lol
This style of presentation comes across quite irritating...
Agree
Yelling into the mic doesn't help
Nervig 🤦♂️
Embarrassing mask wearer!
