The 2013 Audi S6, otherwise known as the C7 generation, is still an incredible vehicle to own. It features an aggressive design with a potent powertrain. Combine those two attributes and you have a winning recipe for a successful luxury sports sedan.

Ah the 2013 S6. I had one and glad I bought aud8 aftercare extended warranty. I had the top model with Lsd, led, heared cooled massage seats, 360 cam, and it was fun for a few years. After 5 years of ownership, it needed $30k of warranty work. Yes in one year. Top end rebuild and so many electric gremlins. Have to admit it had the best adaptive cruise I've ever used up until recent days. Also audi connect wasn't available back then in Canada. The yanks got it though
Your experience makes a strong case for extended warranties. But truth be told, I still prefer this generation of S6 over its successor.
Why didn't you drive it as part of the review?
You bring up a great point, but as these vehicles are not mine, I find it best to not drive them very far simply due to liability reasons

How reliable are they ?
I can't quite comment on reliability as I only had a couple hours to spend with the car but I would highly encourage you to visit an owner's forum where they may be able to provide more insight.
Like with any used car purchase though you want to conduct as much research as possible before you physically view any cars in-person. This will allow you to narrow down your search to only a few cars that meet the criteria and as always have your mechanic or a specialist inspect it thoroughly before you close the deal.
