Loved this! I 100% agree with you about Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia - nothing happened and I didn't get on with the format at all! I was fully expecting to love it 😢
I am definitely surprised to hear Love and Other Words on someone’s worst books video because I’ve only ever heard good things. I’ve had my copy for over a year and I haven’t read it yet and it’s only because I am so mad that I bought the ugly yellow cover instead of the cute cover 🤣 I will say your rant about it made me curious so I might have to finally get over the cover lol. Thank you for posting the spoiler warning!
it's definitely a very well loved book, i'm for sure in the minority hahaha😅 the new cover is a HUGE improvement to the yellow one 😭 i hope you like it more than i did, a lot of people love it!
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries was a slog in the beginning for me but about halfway through, it sucked me in and I was fully invested. Overall I gave it 3.5 stars. I'm going to read book 2 and hopefully it doesn't take as long to get going with the story. I've had L&OW on my TBR for like 2 years so I have to get to it in 2024. It has been so hyped that I'm scared.
i definitely feel like a lot of people have that experience! and the second half is where it either works or doesn't work for people, but i'm glad to hear you enjoyed it for the most part!! love and other words is very well loved but i'm in the minority with my opinion hahaha! so hopefully you enjoy it 🤞
As a historical romance lover I surprisingly have no interest in reading Lisa Kleypas at this time lol. One of my new favorite historical romance authors is Shana Galen (hint hint to my favorite book of the year), and she has so many books written! I've read the first two books in her Survivors series and the first in Lord and Lady Spy and all three were so much fun!!! Highly recommend checking them out!!! Your Love and Other Words review had me rolling (other than the spoiler topic of course), I've never wanted to read it so I loved hearing the tea.
yeah i've heard some mixed things on a lot of lisa kleypas books so i'll probably pick up more at some point but this one was not for me lol ok yes i saw ur comment about ur fave book of the year by that author so i'm definitely gonna have to check them out!! LOL THANK YOU
