I agree about challenging oneself and mixing up one's experiences in life. We are better people for it ❤
A house tends to be the big black hole that we always have to fill. Your never done and just when you think you are something happens or 20 years have gone by and you have to renovate again. After 38 years in my home, would I change it? No Next spring we hope to renovate our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. You and Carrie have to be commended for doing so much of the work yourself and adopting sheep. ducks, horses and god know what else that lands in your lap. I'm enjoying the adventures.

I love these philosophical moments in your reno vlogs! I could relate to much of what you said. I'm in the opposite situation where I had to move back home to LA after 9 years in Oregon. The energy and pace of life is so much faster here. I desperately miss the peace and stillness of the forest in Oregon. I have to be mindful of slowing down and not getting overwhelmed by the pace of life here in LA. Also, as I am trying to grow my own channel on YT, I really am aware of that pressure to be consistent with putting out content. I don't know how you and Carrie have done it for years but I admire you both so much! Thank you for inspiring me with your creative work ✨️

Thank you for your channel. Near 60yr old NZ grandma here and you've helped inspire me to travel overseas for the first time alone! Also rebooked Milford for Dec again and hopefully will finish this time... again inspired by you both to give it another go 😊. I often question where i am in my life and reflect. You have to admit recording the house reno and reviewing will also show you how far you've come and how much you've done!

Once again, an extremely good vlog ... Wow, each one now surpasses the previous one ... When I started watching the vlog, I tjought that you should make vlog about learning stuff continuously in your adult life. Last week you asked, but I could not answer because I had absolutely nothing in my brain & at at times I prefer nothing in there ... I am a big believer in continuous learning ...This week I learned about coding ... A month ago I sewed a ballgroom-dress for my daughter, which I never thought I'll ever be able to do iny life!!! I constantly learn new recipes. During Covid I taught myself to do acrylic painting on canvas .... We are never too old ever to learn new skills or to be ever bored!👩🎨👨🎨

Yep - playdough is still a thing and is one of the best ways us adults can interact with kids. I myself make a very good replica of a croc!

Hoping after the record wettest year that you've experienced that with El nino kicking in at late spring and summer that you'll finally experience those calm sunny days in the east coast for weeks on end! Of course then we get the droughts that we all complain about for the farms and gardens. Quite the cycle!

Pero como dijiste, no se donde me llevará este camino pero estoy disfrutando el proceso. Yo creo que un día la revelación va a llegar y vas a ver cara a cara al Hijo de Dios y todo va a tener sentido y vas a saber que siempre el camino a tu lado y estuvo presente cada día de tu vida.
