The vest I received from First MFG arrived with a cheap, defective zipper. I tried it on, zipped it up once and it broke. This was within 20 min of receiving the package in the mail. Perhaps the quality has changed since your purchase. Awaiting a solution from customer service other than ship it back and then we will send you another once the defective item is received, despite receiving pictures of the garage zipper.
The shorter vest is to make it a more comfortable rider experience so you don’t get it bunching up while your in riding posturing not to show a flannel ? Correct ha

I bought the hot shot vest from them, I got the medium size & it fits big. It’s been sitting in my closet for the past 2 years, never used it. I asked Espinosaz leather if they could tailor it to fit me but they said it’d cost too much. I paid $230 for the vest & it’s a paper weight in my closet 😢
@@Califunk the shop closed because of Covid. There was no way of getting a refund, I contacted first manufacturing, explained the situation & they couldn’t help me. 🤷♂️

Because you dress for the slide, not for the ride. If you go down, do you want "hot" thick leather, or something that will tear off as easy as your skin?
@@supakamario I'm not sure what you're trying to say, or spell... But I have never seen anyone sliding on their side. I have seen plenty of road rather on the back shoulders and front of vest, though. Hence why the need for something thick. To each their own.
The “big stash” zipper is for to put patches so it doesn’t mess up your interior liner.

True but with a taller thinner guy the normal size is fine, but shorter people should go with the upside vests
