Looking to get a summer leather jacket and the Turbine seems like the perfect choice. 6’1 190 lbs with a 39-40 chest, should I go with small if I want more of a fitted look?
Man really want one of your leather riding shirts (maduro, milestone, or mesa), but all your smalls seem like they'd be massive on me! My chest fits a 36-38, and all the Small chest sizes are about 41-43 according to your size chart. Is that right?
@@ChopperGreg I ended up getting a small and it fits perfect. I'm 5'6 tall I would say up to 5'10 the small is still perfect for that height the body isn't tight and you can layer under.

Y'all make great jackets, but the sizing needs work. I bought 2 First Mfg jackets both in size 'small' (5' 6" ~160 pounds). The 'Turbine' fits great in size small. It's snug, length is spot on and it just fits me very well! The 'Top Performer' was way too big in a size small. It was super baggy, the sleeves came out to my fingers and the neck hole was ginormous. I laid the Turbine on top of the Top Performer and it's a solid inch or two bigger in all aspects. Not sure what that's about, but again - ya'll make great jackets! Just need to work on the sizing.
Oh snap we're the same height but I'm around 150-155 pounds. Any sort of tips you got for sizing? I'm looking at the raider jacket, might be doing a custom order one as well to mix some colors up.

Idk if you bought the vest already man! But your best bet is to measure your waist and give an extra 2 to 3 inches in order to rock a sweater or jacket bro! Hope all is well! Just ride clyde!😎👍
I ordered a 2x raider jacket and it was crazy small and the zipper starts above my belly button, is this the way the jackets are designed? I will be returning the jacket and am currently on the fence about ordering a larger size due to that zipper start point. I'm 5'8 260 with a 42" waist.

Hey Oliver, I would suggest sizing up 1 size to your normal size. You maybe either a large or XL. however being 6 feet, it might sit pretty short. Of course if you do get one and aren't happy with the sizing you can always send it back for an exchange.

You are correct on that. The raider is one of the only jackets we have that is sized a bit smaller than the others. the only other jacket like that is the cutlass as well.
Weird that you say that as I'm almost the same size as you. 5'8" 153lbs and I have the raider in a small and I find its too tall for me. The bottom goes mid way around my butt (about 4-5 inches too long to sit just above my hips), the sleeves are about 2" too long. There's lots of room in the jacket, except because its too long, its tight at the bottom button (because its around my butt), and it wants to lift up and bulk while riding. @First Manufacturing Co. I was wondering if the raider might be better built for shorter riders? I'm also in a Club so I have my cut on top of my jacket, so I don't want a jacket to bulky. Maybe a slightly thinner leather than the Raider?
@@Jordan.levesque interesting. The sleeves are slightly too short for me but that's ok. Everything else fits fine. I assume your torso is probably shorter than mine and your legs are longer. I have the villain now. Have you checked that one out? It's thinner and fits well.

Make a tall version with longer arms. I’m tall, but not fat, so unless I want to wear a parachute of a jacket, the arm armor is never in the right place. So I’m limited to a few jackets from a few manufacturers. Seems easy enough to just attach longer arms to the chest sections but 🤷🏼♂️

The leather is very thin and on certain parts of the jacket, it crinkles almost like a laminate is the best way I can describe it. I’m in the window for an exchange from Blackbeard motorcycle gear so if you could recommend a thicker one, I’m all ears.

The thicker leathers will be a bit more in price, but if your looking for thicker and more safe, I'd look at the following jackets. -Chaos, Raider, Top Performer, Commuter, Crusader, Nemesis, Maverick. those jackets are over 1.0mm - The revolt is the thickest leather with 1.4mm. I'm not aware if Blackbeard's has any but id look or call them to make sure.

To me that sounds like you would be a medium. If you get it and the sizing seems off, you can always exchange it for the other size.

Hey rai. It sounds like you should go with a Medium Jacket. If there is a problem with the size you get, you can always send it back for an exchange.

yes the bandit vest small will probably work. The bandit and No rival has the same sizing.

you might have been a small but let us know when you receive it. If it is too big than you can always exchange it for a different size.
