I got one and love it so far. The conceal pocket is for show. I could not get my subcompact to fit. It’s not a big deal.

I’ve had the same vest, very nicely made. It’s definitely needs to be worn in as the canvas is a bit tough. It is a bit thicker in the front since it has so much going on.

Yeah that vest is incredible. I picked one up a few months ago but I got the born free bike show edition only because it was cheaper. It's a bit warm to wear in the summer though. Good initial review. I plan on doing a review on mine at some points this fall.

Great review! I was going to order this after watching your review but am curious with all the utility pockets does the front of the vest "puff" out more than the other areas? Thank you, Dave
Hey Dave, When the pockets are empty it does not puff out. I fill them up with camera equipment and wires and it still is not bad at all. There is a little break in time as far as the stiffness of the canvas vest goes. It becomes a little more pliable each time I wear it. I am still very happy with this vest.

Proper way to wash them ? Great vid
Thank you! I have taken mine to the cleaners and they did a good job.
1st MFG CO did a video on this do not wash it in a machine or dryer it will change the size etc. if you must wash it they say to give it a hose, and then let it air dry

Thank you for the first impression video. Question i have is, are the two exterior lower hand pockets open, zipper or snaps? After a month or so of searching and researching I’ve settled on the “highland” which is the same as the fairfax just with a Preacher Collar.
The two slash pockets have two snap on them and they are deep. I still like this vest, it is a little stiff but is becoming more flexible too.
OMG MOTO right on. Canvas or cordura is naturally stiff and is expected which im ok with cuz ya can mold ur kit/cut/vest to conform to the edc items u carry or need. Basically break er in the way u choose or wish too.

Are the snaps over the zipper as strong as the other snaps? I want to run one with extenders during summer.
They are pretty strong snaps.
loved the review.... but need a larger size. My left testicle is over your chest size. lol my chest is 72" so I need a larger size. i saw they had a 5x so I will give em a call. Excellent review. Gave you a sub.

I believe only the Canvas Commando and Knox have the back slot. Maybe the leather Commando also.
