An experiment that would be interesting to do is processing the hemp fibers in Laccase enzymes to remove lignins, softening the fibers making them more wool-like. They are a project we're a group of students use Laccase enzymes to soften hemp and coconut fiber to make a wool-like material they named Woocoa. But I haven't seen the material being used, might be worth trying, you can get Laccase enzymes from Alibaba (it's used in the food industry, water treatment, paper industry and more)
Pleased to see you are well. I am curious as to why you are working so hard to make hemp felt though when other things do. Also, if after carding the hemp looks a lot like cotton, can it be spun like cotton?
Hi great job, conrats.👏 Me also tryin to do same thing for a different purpose:) I use h2o2 instead of bleach to get rid of smell and minimise the ruins of chemical. One question, how do you produce this kind of fibre from long and thicker fibres like I use (you may see at my videos if I coud not able to express:) Thank you.

It sheds water in the rain, but if you were to leave it in a bowl of water it would eventually soak through.

It was one of those project's I was bound and determined to figure out. Yes, the hemp bast fibers can be spun just like cotton fibers.
