God can answer.. ’For I am the Lord who heals you.” “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds.” “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective’’ James 5:16. Jesus is the as yesterday He can still heal ..

I have just discovered this after 37 years!!
My sons entire life to now has been literally destroyed as he’s never recovered from severe OCD +++
No one knew anything about this until 1998 and even then very few Drs had a clue, probably none here in South Australia
Does anyone know of any treatment for no doubt the majority of adults who did not get treatment as children ?

Wow! I’m wondering if my 38 year old son, who changed after having meningitis at age 7, where he nearly died and was in PICU for 3 weeks because it was also in his CNS. He was sick for 5 months. He’s had problems since, and he’s been diagnosed with everything, and has severe headaches, seizures, and now has Lyme and mold. This breaks my heart. Can we go back to be diagnosed? He’s mentally disabled.

Thankyou for posting sensible information relating to me and not a load of tautological bullshit about "autism"

My son is a textbook case of PANS but still have not found a physician with sufficient treatment experience and/or willingness to help.

So our 2 year older son has been having more and more meltdowns and seems to be having a difficult time with his speech. We spoke with a chiropractic clinic in Tennessee called Smiley Chiropractic. After doing a blood test on our son they said he has pans caused by an infection on the brain. They recommended we start him on a full detox. This begins ASAP…Anyone heard of them? They will be working with us early next year for rehabilitation and therapy on our son. Thank you.

Does not have to be sudden and severe onset.

This makes it sound easy to get help. But it is not. We have medi call insurance and it's just a run around. No real help. Most doctors are uninformed or believe you have to have fevers in order to be infected.

    Homeschool is the best option.

I thought so too. I used to beg my parents to homeschool me from ages 8-12. But, I am forever grateful they didn't listen to my demands. It must have been dreadful watching me suffer every single day, to the point where I was having extremely suicidal thoughts and actions, but eventually, I got used to it. I'm age 16 now and I still have PANS symptoms, but leaving my house, going to school, and being forced to "fit in" has helped me handle them. If there's anything I've learned, it's that you can't hide away forever and wait for it to go away. And yeah, it sucks sometimes. I was always envious of the other kids at school because no one knew how much I was suffering, but I had to pretend I was just like everyone else. But, that's life. Some face more struggles than others but we learn to live with it because that's all we can do. And, with the help of quarantine and time for mental clarity, I can finally say that PANS no longer has control over my life.

No. I’m homeschooled and have had PANDAS (similar to pans) but it was due to my antibodies attacking my brain instead of the strep and that’s what causes these symptoms. But with Pans it can be caused by so many different things. Homeschool doesn’t have anything to do with the cause.
