I have been with ocd since moving to the states. I have intrusive thoughts all day. It is rare to not have them. I feel ashame for the thoughts. I started crying and panicking while I was eating with my bf the other day. I hate the physical sensation of my panic. I try to avoid it but it makes it worse. I think I’m a horrible person for finding other ppl attractive. I have shame in a lot of things I do, even if they aren’t bad. I am happy I saw this video.

Understand your thoughts are normal, and accept that the dwelling on the thoughts are OCD. I’ve dealt with this my whole life, I have so many good things going for me now, I am an unstoppable force. I do get ROCD, I’m sure you know what that is, you should look into it. Post pandemic psychological issues beyond PTSD...
Or even misdiagnosis of PTSD or brain trauma in returning soldiers was actually some missed diseases that were asymptomatic for some.

What is the best treatment for this? Our 3 year old son was diagnosed with this a few months back. We went spoke to a chiropractor that specialized in holistic medicine. They got him on natural vitamins and supplements to help. Because they said he had a major infection on his brain causing these issues. A few days later we saw a huge positive difference. They told us he would need to take these supplements for 6-8 months and also do two weeks of on-site therapy at a chiropractic clinic in Tennessee. It was called Smiley Chiropractic. They charged $1,000 a day for almost two weeks of on-site therapy. It was painful because my wife had to take our son and stay at a cabin in TN while I stayed back in NC wit our 1 year old daughter. He showed some progress during the therapy but has regressed since he’s been home these past few days. He’s been home 3 days from this therapy and they said this regression was normal, but it’s so sad to watch our son hurt himself in these meltdowns. Anyone have any recommendations or any updates on treatments?

I watched this nightmare unfold before me with my own child! Positive strep test with no sore throat or physical symptoms but crazy behavior problems that get better with massive doses of antibiotics....long term and untreated cases only to leave the child with OCD, intrusive thoughts, irrational fears, and for some reason a sudden and serious deficit in math skills.

His physician diagnosed it as PANDAS then rebuked her statements due to pressure from her colleagues as none of them knew anything about it. Their fear of being wrong actually caused him harm because it blocked him from getting the correct treatment. He was shuffled through the mental health system and given harmful medications even though all of those professionals were completely puzzled as he didn't fit into any of their diseases either.

After years it was found that his neural pathways have been damaged so he can no longer complete thoughts and he only understands about 70% of what people are saying to him. His IQ was affected by the long term autoimmune response to an improperly treated Strep A infection. He was denied antibiotics that helped because PANDAS isn't real.
If PANDAS continues to be a HYPOTHESIS then foolish doctors will keep denying children treatment that can make a huge difference in their lives.

Right...what was the need to point that out? The tone reads harshly to me. If it wasnt intended as such my apologies. I'm a bit upset Anna had to respond this utterly minor point which hopefully didnt elicit any distress. PANDAS and OCD, PANDAS and OCD, PANDAS and OCD - thats the message, thats why we are here and pointless comments detract from this.
Again if you didnt mean to be overtly critical as I have interpreted then apologies but either way its PANDAS and OCD we should be focused on :)

Germs are the trigger! PANDAS by exposure to Strep. After that it is all viruses and bacteria that cause the antibodies to attack the brain, causing OCD, Tics, Eating restrictions, Eat.. Exposure to germs is the worst thing you can do.

That would be the worst thing ever for PANDAS! That is a trigger . My daughter had it for 18 years and every time she had a flare it was from a germ. Unless your a doctor who has expertise in this disease or have experienced it yourself you may not want to make suggestions that could be harmful.
