  • In this video, I travel to the centre of the Netherlands to it's biggest national park, the Hoge Veluwe. I was doing a scouting trip for next autumn to check out locations for photographing fighting red deer during next year's rut. I found some good locations and also an absolute monster stag. Check it out.

Beautiful video, i wonder though, did you take any photo? I was waiting for a shot in the video :-).

Thanks for the kind comment Onno. I only took shots of the scenery, landscapes, trees and autumn leaves. I wanted to shoot stills of the stags but they were just too far away for my stills lens. I did take a few stills with my video camera, but they were technically not worthy of being submitted as stock. the trip was a scouting one for next Autumn, when I'll be going back with more lens power :-)

Thanks for sharing your trip Andrew. It’s lovely to be out in nature, good to see you spotted some deer and got some shots too. We have a park about 25 miles from me that has Fallow And Sika deer. I normally visit around rutting season. I must go see some Red deer at some stage !!
    Best wishes
    Tim

Hi Tim. Thanks for the comment. Yes, fighting deer are quite a sight, especially if the stars align and you manage to capture it on camera.
Until next September, when the rut is on again over here.

@@andrewbalcombe1338 I've put a camera inside a bat box and connected it to my TV in my room so I can watch the bats on my TV. I'll be streaming the bats flying in and out. Sub me if you don't want to miss these awesome footage😁👍

If you’ll go back, good chance you’ll see some wolves.
