After experiencing lots of wind buffeting on my DX, and searching Google for solutions, I came across your video on UA-cam. I must say, it made a big difference for me. I'm 6' 3" and running a Shoei Adventure Hornet helmet which, on my previous bike, was the most stable and quiet adventure helmet I have owned. With the WRS screen being lower it has shifted the turbulent area away from my helmet, allowing the helmet aero to do it's thing. My head no longer feels like a Piñata, which makes the ride way more pleasant. Took 10 minutes to install and looks great. Thanks Adam for the informative video. The info and advice, for me, was spot on.
Thanks for that, although I still get a bit of wind noise with my Arai XD4, was looking at the Shoei the other day, It is definitely on my upgrade list. Ive just finished a whole bunch of other upgrades, which has completely changed the bike for better as well. Have those videos coming out soon. Thanks for your message 👍
I'm thinking of changing to that screen on my Rally and also getting a zumo xt2, but I'm wondering if there would be space for it under the shorter screen. What was the upshot of your setup? Was the Sat nav position ok in practice?
@@jamesbuongiorno9014 OEM mirrors definitely affect wind noise/turbulance. There's a reason all modern bikes have small aero shaped mirrors, not massive round mirrors sticking up. Even early press shots on DX didn't have those big round mirrors.

They should give you a discount if you keep the brand markings replacing Ducati

Yeah it fits not a problem. The upshot is less turbulence on my helmet.
Great stuff
Where are you riding bro?.. I wanna ride that trail!
This is in Gippsland Victoria, near Yinnar South.
Change the mirrors. That's what is causing the buffeting. I added Rottweiler Quick-Flip-Mirrors and resolved.
Changing the screen cut down the buffeting significantly. New mirrors are definitely on the list to do though. 👍

I just bought those mirrors. You think they helped that much, even with the stock windscreen?
