  • Solo mission on September 4th, 2023. Looking for walleyes out of Oconto Wi. We had a nice south breeze all day, made for a good walleye chop out on the bay. The fish cooperated a little bit, but they are still tough to catch. I'm not sure why they aren't more aggressive yet, but I just have to keep trying, and keep casting.

Seeing Paul’s place, north shore bait and tackle sure brings back some great memories ❤️❤️❤️ a week from today I’ll me having triple bypass surgery. Got to recover so I can get the tail end of sauger/Walleye season here in Tennessee

Yes I use a VMC snap on the shiver minnows. I have never had one open up on me yet.

Any tips to seeing fish tight to bottom on the Livescope? I think I’m missing a lot of fish that aren’t suspended.

I think it's just up to practice and interpretation. A lot of the fish I see right to bottom are just tiny little anomalies on the screen. Also turning the gain up a bit will help, but you will clutter your screen up. Just need to decipher it.

Aaron do you ever use a drift sock?

Occasionally I do. But only if I'm drifting close to 1mph without it. I like to drift around .4 to .7mph, so I will put the drift sock out if I'm moving faster than that.

What do you use to store your shiver Minnows? Im looking for a good box to keep things from chipping or what not but not sure what route to take.

I have a box with foam in it, that I got from noethshore bait. Hold about 60 shiver minnows. I'll try and show it in the next video. I think I showed it off once before but can't remember.

How long will the bite go this fall?

I will keep fishing for walleyes until mid to late November. I usually do really good in October. But, still catch walleyes here and there in November as well.
