i have a feeling that King is actually a prince. I think he is a descendent of the titans because along with the visual simularities, in the credits sequence, king is across from the titan. Also he had a servant that took care of him until Eda took him. It seems like he is hidden royalty because something almost wiped them out so they made a nursery far from the isles to keep him safe until he was old enough.

The entire castle may have one point functioned to take care of king, but it was fate that brought Eda so that she could raise King better than the broken castle could.
I think Kings a descendant of the Titans. The cave painting show a battle between his ancestors and some sort of evil tentacle monsters. When Lilith said demons were "wild and disorganized" before Emperor Belos came along, it seemed too far-fetch, especially that this is the same despot who uses lies and propaganda to subjugate his own people. My theory is that there might have been a demon king in the past, Emperor Belos killed him when he took over the Boiling Isles, and spread propaganda about how he subjugated the demons. I think that King is intended as a parallel to Emperor Belos. Both claim supreme authority based on a story that may or may not be true. If King is by blood the rightful ruler of all demons but cannot convince anyone to take him seriously then his power is imaginary and he isn't really a King. this is such a bittersweet moment for King
he finally learns his origins which will lead him to his character ark and see Eda as a mother figure
but he also needs to accept that everything he believed about himself was a lie
That is the saddest moment I've seen in the season 2 of the owl house 😭
The animation when kings crying tho😍😍 IK it’s sad
