Yes you are right. Its hemianthus micranthamoides aka pearl weed. Got it wrongly id'd by the seller. Didn't know at the time of making this video. Have corrected in later videos. 🙂👍 Regarding shrimps, I have a separate video with all the different colors & patterns of shrimps, born in my tank.. check if you are interested... 🙂

Yes, it can breed in aquarium but you need to setup special breeding tank with specific temp, dark water etc. Normal aquarium-il angane breed aavarilla. check the aquarium plants video in the channel. athil detailed aayittu plants okke kaanichittundu.

Hi brother, loved your aquascaping, i need some ideas regarding seting up planted aquarium..is co2 kit needed for this set, are you using plant fertilizers, if so which brand and wats the dosage, presently i am using a hangon filter for my setup, is that enough so should i invest on canister filter..becoz i want to set a planted tank with minimum investment..can you share some light on this
Thanks. I am not using CO2 in my tank. This is a low tech tank set using walstad method. So no co2 or extra fertilizers needed. Plants will get nutrients from the potting soil layer under the gravel. Regarding filter you can use the hang on filter itelf. It will be good to put some ceramic rings in the filter compartment for beneficial bacteria to grow. That will improve the filtration. Check my recent videos. I am doing a series on how to setup a low budget planted tank. That will be helpful for you. Also there are some other videos on low budget aquarium setup.

Hello brother.. Loved ur presentation.. Thanks for ur information ..❤ I have a doubt regarding putting fish into the planted aquarium.. fish which was early in smal cylinders when placed into the aquarium died after one day.. Is it bcz of change of water..
When changing fish to new tank, we should take care of few things.
1) the new tank should be cycled with beneficial bacteria so good to transfer fish only after 2-3 weeks of setting up a planted tank. (or use beneficial bacteria powder to cycle the tank faster).
2) when you transfer, acclimate the fish by adding little bit of the new tank water slowly to the existing water by drip method for an hour, to sync it. then you can transfer the fish.

Hi, ചെറി ഷ്രിമ്പ്സ് ചത്ത് പോകുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ടാവാം എന്ന് പറയാമോ. ഞാൻ രണ്ട് തവണ ആയി 8 (2&6)എണ്ണം വാങ്ങി ഇട്ടു. പ്ലാന്റഡ് അക്വേറിയം ആണ്- 2'L x 1'W x 1'H(substrate - പുഴമണൽ). അതിൽ ഉള്ളത് 2 സയാമീസ് ആൽഗേ ഈറ്റേഴ്സ്, 2 ഗോൾഡൺ ആൽഗേ ഈറ്റേഴ്സ്, 1 കുഹ്ലി ലോച്ച്, കുറച്ച് ഗപ്പീസ്. പ്രത്യേകം ഫുഡ് ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. ടാങ്കിലെ ഫിൽറ്റർ sunsun HJ-311B.
Water parameters check cheythu nokkam. Tank correct aayi cycle aayittillenkil ingane undaavum. Shrimps valare sensitive aanu. I would recommend running the tank for a month with filer so that good bacteria develops and ammonia level will come down. Temp variations also adhikam undaavaathe nokkanam.

River sand ഇതുവരെ try ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. പക്ഷേ നന്നായിട്ട് കഴുകി എടുത്താൽ use ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. നല്ല തരി ഉള്ളത് എടുക്കണം. തീരെ nice manal ആയാൽ ചിലപ്പോ കുറച്ചു നാള് കഴിഞ്ഞു അത് കട്ടി ആവും. വേര് ഓടാനുള്ള ഗപ് കിട്ടില്ല.

Dwarf Sagittaria subulata will spread naturally through runner roots but it takes long time to spread. Montecarlo, is another naturally spreading carpet plant. Hemianthus micranthamoides also spread if it has enough light. But is also a tall plant. so need constant trimming.

But main വളർച്ച മുകളിലേക്കാണ്. Spread വളരെ സ്ലോ ആണ്. നല്ല light ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലേ side വളർച്ച ഉണ്ടാവൂ. Fish waste, extra fish food ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ. അതൊക്കെ വളം ആയി convert ആവും. അതിനാണ് ടാങ്കിൽ beneficial bacteria ഉള്ളത്. അത് ഈ waste ഒക്കെ nutrients ആയി convert ചെയ്യും. ചെടികൾ അത് use ചെയ്യും. അങ്ങനെ ആണ് വെള്ളം വൃത്തി ആയി കിടക്കുന്നത്. 🙂

Bacopa, amazon swords, crypticornes, Hemianthus micanthamoides, Hygrophila difformis and Anubias. (Anubias is not shown in this video. It was added later, you can see on the latest videos). For light, I added a LED stripwith 1100 lumens along with the inbuilt light which came with the aquarium. The lumens of that light is not known, but it should be 500 or above. So total 1600-1750 lumens.

Red colored plants need high light and Co2. except few, most low req plants are green in color. When you plant a red plant in low light tank, the color will change to green and then slowly will melt away. check sreepadma website. they have the plants catogarized as low light, hig light, co2/non co2 etc. so check the website to get a list of plants which will work without co2. but bright light is a must for red plants. I dont have any red plants in the low light tank.

For fish I give slow sinking pellets called tetrabits. Shrimps will also eat those when they fall to the ground. I also put dried indian badam leaf once in a while. It has antibacterial properties and release tannins to the water. Also shrimp likes to eat it after it becomes soft.
