I do construction for a living. If you guys can do a soil cement base it would take place of the stone. And you could run the carts on the soil cement without asphalt and could always place asphalt at a later time on the soil cement base Also it would be ok after rain.
Add two shipping containers in the middle of the track so you could ride over them and also pass underneath, in between them. It also would give you storage for tires, fuel, ect….
i really love your content, i am a quadriplegic, and it keeps me from being so depressed, the stuff my friends and I would do, and now that I have a boy, he is into cars, and any thing mechanical, and it sucks, i have been paralyzed from the neck down all of his life, and the stuff you and your father do reminds me of my father and I were, the "ol school" and the "new school" i haven't been able to make those memories, charish the time you have, i have been watching you on the tv, and saw the bond you have, and the things you guys would do, and how you guys prank each other, it makes me think that we would have had an awesome channel lol keep up the great content
Quite right, it's something that most people would have done. If you can't afford it and own a lot of things, you can either sell or wait and save money. The last resort is bank loans. Begging for money is not something you do if you have any honor
We "Chip & Seal" a lot of our country roads in Oklahoma... Add a slight crown to center of road for drainage and we run all kinds of vehicles over them!
Have you ever considered doing cold milling. It is a process of using clean recycled asphalt millings and chemical adhesion that is then rolled like hot asphalt. Cut your costs down significantly. Clean asphalt millings in my area go for $17/ton. I’m surprised your friend Chip didn’t mention this process. Maybe reach out to Hawke Seal and see if they would be willing to help.
There is some truth to what you’re saying, anyone that hasn’t experienced having absolutely nothing not knowing where your next meal is coming from or knowing you can’t support your kids but your sending them 80% of your income. They can never understand what you mean, usually it’s self discipline, or substance abuse or mental health issues but regardless those feelings are significant the exact opposite of the good feelings these guys have when they are able to buy their first house or buy their parents a house. Life is 80% self work 20% opportunities obviously it Varys person to person but that’s my experience I’ve put in about 50% self work maybe less and pounced on about 7% of my opportunities 😂😂😂 I hope to one day correct it because these lows are horrid.
Guys. To raise the funds, do a build give away truck simple. As far as the racing goes, do a 12 hour race, 4 drivers per kart. I raced karts in Aus, and the endurance series was the coolest race to compete in. It's a real team event, the karts are fast enough to have fun, and the Honda motors will do the job. With 4 drivers, this will expand your driver selection to 134 drivers rather than just 34. A 12 hour race will also involve pit stop manditory tyre change, which the team must do on their own with manual tools except the refueling. For refueling this is a mandatory 2 min stop for all competitors, so it evens the field out. For this style kart it's the best format and the most fun.
Option 3 has potential and you guys should build a bridge fly-over and have it loop back underneath, and you will have an area on bridge for signage and sponsor for all the big brands.
Good luck guys, keen to see what you come up with…I’ve built myself a dirt track on my farm down here in South Australia, one man,one tractor,it’s a lot of work but well worth it to drive kart out of my shed straight into cutting laps! Option 3 Millers track, with undulations gets my vote ✅
This is going to be bad ass!! Definitely need some spectator areas within the track. Incorporate a walk-over bridge or something. But of course it’s not my money lol

LET'S GO!!!!!! I'LL HELP I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA BUT IF YOU NEED ME I'M THERE YEAH YOU GUYS NEED SPONSORSHIP BIG TIME
I have always wanting to race. It would be a dream come true. It sounds like ur pops wants a track like Mario Carts. 😂😂😂.I understand its only gocarts but when ur on those things ur inner most childish ways comes out and u end up having a blast. And right now i sure could use some of that excitement. But other than that i love yalls ideas. Me and my mom growing up ive always told her if i would get rich somehow we would make something like this for all the kids in the area for something to do besides get into trouble or what not. Awesome work guys thats for sure. Much love to yall from Maryland❤❤❤.
Exactly what your dad just said. Make a smaller track that you can expand. make it the right width and make everything proper but shorter. Then, in the future, you can expand it to the full track you wanted.
Doing asphalt ain't cheap. You're gonna have to figure out a way to monetize this new track to pay for it. Maybe Cleetus can bring his live production crew up and do some Pay Per View races there to cover the costs of building it.
Why would cleetus give away money? What have they done to help Cleetus? Cleetus and project prime are busy, doing their own thing. If they want to be Cleet, let them figure it out on their own
Layout the whole track like what u want the end result to be. Then break it into sections to build over time. Then u have a uniformed idea from the start and it won’t look like u just added on to add on. Make connectors where u stop, then once the whole track is done, u can have different layouts depending on what kind of race y’all want to run
I can operate heavy equipment and do electrical plumbing pretty much a jack of all trades . Went to collage for welding and fabrication got nothing to do and I'm going stir crazy I'm located in Bristol, TN
I want to race but I’m in Australia so I’ve got everything crossed I get picked to experience the adventures over there I would stay for 2 more weeks would have to after playing Mario brothers 😂😂❤❤
The big thing to consider is that if you make it wide enough for cars it can double as a Drift Track. You could even host events at your place and things like that.
I'm down to fly in and race. I like Doug's track with the addition of shipping containers as someone suggested earlier. I'd also say keep it a dirt track. Maybe just do a burm on the lot to guide the water around the track and down the hill. Keeping it dirt track will level the playing field from the pro drivers to youtubers that can drive.
The two of you have the power of social media and a large network. I'm not sure why y'all are balking at $150K. You have to realize the future ROI this return. Just the new subscribers, channel content and sponsors would be enough to make this a worth while venture. Get'r done gents!
So doing some quick math (i think my math is solid) : 2500ft track @ 20ft wide is = 50,000 sq ft ($150,000) so assume $3.00 per square foot 2000ft track @ 15 ft wide is = 30,000 sq ft ($90,000) 1500ft track @ 15 ft wide is = 22,000 sq ft ($67,500) So if you get a more accurate length and narrow the track a little its much more feasible.
You could do it in sections as you have the funding maybe start out with a oval then eventually come off with another section and then eventually another have it to where each one can be shut back down or cones put up or whatever and you can make different races a diverse track in the end. A basic oval to start then on to other parts just think about it just trying to help get you up and going faster brother.
Ive been on some really cool tracks that had raised wooden parts like decking. They had really cool corkscrew climbs that took you to the upper levels. Then just connect those raised decking parts with asphalt. Look into Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin area go cart tracks. I know wood isn't cheap but probably less than asphalt.
I love how pops is so interested in cow pattys he mentioned it whenever talking about the race . pops I haven't seen a sick air guitar solo in a minute we need one from the master!
we had a clay track with banks and it holds up pretty good. live in buffalo NY. have a tractor to fix bad spots that may occur from rain but it shouldn’t ruin the entire track when it rains. ur banks will get screwed up some from water running down them but quick run with the tractor and ur set.
Keep your dream alive you guys are creative i have faith you will conquer this track. I wish i still lived in SC moved to OK i would definitely be in to help i like #3
Still love seeing all of the content. Loved seeing the Truck when you had it at LS fest East. As an IRacer still trying to grow his UA-cam channel, this would be great to show my real skills with you guys. Also just tossing this idea out there. Half the track be dirt and the other half could be paved.
There is a track in Odessa TX called Rimrock Raceway. The owner there made the track worth extra paved connectors between some corners and extra sections so the track can be reconfigured a half dozen ways or more. Every week, he runs a different configuration and also switches directions from clockwise to counter clockwise. It's a little more money up front, but you can create a much better long term experience. They also run league night races every Thursday. Also, as someone who traveled the country to work and has raced rental karts at a couple dozen outdoor and indoor tracks, I would like to come out and run with you guys and participate in an event sometime.
You need to dig a long trench at the edge of your slab put In Weeping tile about 8 ft down and fill it back in with crush rock. Have the weeping slope down to the low end and you won’t have to worry about drainage.
I want to drive! Just something to think about when designing a track is what the top speed of my carts are and how long does it take to achieve that speed. This will help with distance between curves and length of straights. I do agree terrain changes in height and banks is a must. Maybe a part that goes underground.
3. Do a t-shirt, hoodie, cap drop to raise some cash you got plenty of subs. Gotta think outside the box to get that cash raised, we always wanted to build a drift track in UK cos there's no good tracks that allow drifting unless it's for competition or at a show. Just impossible here with land price's, planning, noise regs etc etc and that's before you've even started on the track.
Take the small *3/4" to dust* crushed concrete pack it and add a tar topping like they used to do years ago on the backroads in the country. Also you could add bags of concrete to the top and rake it in wet it down, since your not going to be driving big cars on it.
Love go-cart racing!! OK they have a cool track in West Palm Bch, FL. They bought one of those US Steel metal buildings . Then they bought some of those commercial building heavy duty storage racks and a small size, light duty forklift. Keep your pallets and nail a 1/2 sheet of 1/4 plywood on top of each pallet and paint it. Then place your cart back on top of them and store them on the metal storage rack . 10 wide X 5 high. Because there's good money in storing people's carts also for the ones that don't have a trailer or room in their garage. 💡💡😀👍.. The buildings are very affordable. They come and install the metal frame one day and metal roof, siding, and nice rollup Doors the next day. They will send you the blueprint on the size of the concrete slab and where to install J bolts needed to set, and secure beams to concrete. You have to pour concrete to their specs and set bolts into wet concrete to their specs also. They do the rest. They are awesome buildings for what you need. You can design to have doors wherever you like.
Love the idea. First thing first your going to need to figure out elevations an drainage. I guessing to can get dirt onsite so that will help with cost. But your going to need a way to haul it from pit to site an a way to load it at the pit. Get your design built with dirt first a while your in the that process your can figure out funding for the next phase. I’m an equipment operator so you ever need help with operating track hoe dozer dump trucks would be glad to help on the weekends. I’m only a couple hrs away in SC. Hope y’all’s dreams come true love to see yall in action. Take care.
I would love to come race with Y'all. I raced desert (bikes) including Baja in the 90's-2000's. i have been a motion picture stunt driver/camera car driver for 24 years! I don't care which track, but a mix of dirt and paved would be AWESOME! The Grand Prix format ( A Day in the Dirt, Elsinore, Catalina...etc) is SUPER fin and will test ALL your drivers' skills! Mahalo
Time to step up your merch game. Make money from a special edition shirt. Plus there has to be fans with equipment willing to help. I am a commercial project superintendent from Buildings to civil road work. Most definitely invest in drainage pipes to allow water to pass the high areas under the track. Also take into account ground stabilization at least 20’ in all directions around the track. There will be a lot of water coming off that track and taking the path of least resistance. Asphalt is the way to go. You may be able to get away with 1.75” of asphalt with the correct prep work. Especially if it’s for go karts only. I recommend getting I civil engineer the review before starting any work. Big risks can bring big rewards. Wish you all the best of luck. 🍻🇺🇸 looking forward to what ever you all decide.
I'm Down with Doug's Idea...🤣🤣🤣 I'm a Service Connected Veteran that just got into Hot Wheels Racing to fight depression and basically went Crazy in my garage creating a track that is Literally Out of this World... I'd Love to Help out in Any way and would Love to Burn Rubber on your New Track...❗
It would be cool if you picked up a couple motocross bikes and investigate possible track layout on them. It’s good content, good fun and quick way to see if you like the potential track plan.
Also to save on the amount of pavement needed, make the front stretch of the track on your existing concrete pad. Have blocks of you move into position to form a wall between the stands and the track. Also paved driveway is 2" pavement thickness, so not sure why you need 4" of pavement.
Go and check out the new road course being built outside the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It looks like it's going to be a fun track. Lots of elevation changes and curves. Good luck.
I totally understand your frustration I had a go cart business for 6 years and the fires in California hit I lost everything in one day. It sucks to lose your home, income and business. I get your frustration... Gentlemen I would stay away from asphalt you will smoke tires to no end ...
Maybe put down some crush then clay on top, at least the base wouldn't erode as much from rain and make it easier to repair? Take care Brad and Dad and God bless👍💙😇
NGL I moved to the Carolina’s because of the video y’all did shutting down the old shop, and my boy from PA that been tellin us about the race history and Legendary Techs that are he…n I CLEARLY am in the same area 🕺🏽👌🙆♂️🫡
I like the blue one ive raced on one similar any of them look fun tho. Battle of the Brads would be a fun race !!! But you guys will figure out a way to get it done racing is a passion...
You can always do asphalt around the turns to get grip and use concrete for the straightaways a lot cheaper also you can get asphalt that's been used in the past that's been ground up and lay it down and turn it into a track I know people that use it for driveways and it looks the same feels the same as well
Missed you guys at the New England 900 Sucks about your flights was a good time. So I did like option #3 on the track. Very cool video showing How it's made. I would race for sure but man 100K plus to lay the asphalt is hard to swallow! I hope someone out there has an idea on how to get it done.
Do a mixed rally coarse half dirt and half asphalt, and it's got to have a cross-over tunnel/bridge section. If you really want to be inspired, have a look at the greatest V8 racetrack in the world. The Bathurst track in Australia have a look at some of the races held there🇦🇺 Cheers Angry 👍
Do a mix of Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca!!! I am a pretty damn fine Dozer operator with 20+ years of experience from building roads to bridge work and commercial building prep.
This track could be huge like the freedom factory I guarantee it will make its money back I just live about an hour from these guys I would like to have a job with these guys they do some of the coolest stuff I've ever seen with cars and art
I wish you guys would incorporate a circle track into you road course would be cool then you have both. Just like the Roval at charlotte. Road course built into the circle track. Best of both worlds
Cooper River Dragstrip had a dirt return road. They priced asphalt and paving. Priced Concrete. The concert was the cheaper route. Good luck with your project. Keep up the UA-caming.
If asphalt is to pricy, How about using the rubber grass Protection mats with the holes in them. They would give good traction but a good surface to drive on.
I want to race. Big time fan and ever since becoming a dad I haven't got to have any alone time to myself. I've always put my family first. But I would put then to the side to have a chance to race with you guys
First clay holds water do drainage research before planning to build the track! Do concrete! Use volunteers and do it yourself! Concrete will last longer! Hot temperatures affect asphalt more than concrete! In the metro city areas you will usually see concrete because it last long! With concrete you have volunteers build the forms and then you can buy equipment and mix concrete yourself or have it hauled in sections! Some concrete companies have extra off the trucks and would greatly discount depending on location! You could do concrete in stages as help and money come in
I would actually like to see a criss cross basically like a figure eight somewhere where people have to take a slowdown to let other people go or vice versa kind of like a game of chance to give it a little bit of a more thrill factor that would be cool but everybody has to still be safe and be cautious but keep everybody on their toes and it will challenge everyone
Who wants to race?? Pick which track layout you like best???
I’m in sc I will help in any way I can I lay asphalt for a living
blue all day everyday
I do construction for a living. If you guys can do a soil cement base it would take place of the stone. And you could run the carts on the soil cement without asphalt and could always place asphalt at a later time on the soil cement base Also it would be ok after rain.

I would love to race with you guys it would be a honor and a privilege and I run equipment and have commercial drivers license
Add two shipping containers in the middle of the track so you could ride over them and also pass underneath, in between them. It also would give you storage for tires, fuel, ect….
Seam weld then a fish plate on both top and bottom seams. I like it! Plus two together, that's what? 12ft across? makes a hell of a bottle neck.

Take care.
Sorry auto correct killing me.
Gotta have some banked turns
It would be cool if you picked up a couple motocross bikes and investigate possible track layout on them. It’s good content, good fun and quick way to see if you like the potential track plan.
Also to save on the amount of pavement needed, make the front stretch of the track on your existing concrete pad. Have blocks of you move into position to form a wall between the stands and the track. Also paved driveway is 2" pavement thickness, so not sure why you need 4" of pavement.
Pug mix is what we put down before asphalt in Tennessee,it’s like an 1/8-1/4” crushed rock that’s easily compacted.
Stay positive guys we got your back
Go and check out the new road course being built outside the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It looks like it's going to be a fun track. Lots of elevation changes and curves. Good luck.
Store them in vertical kart stands when in the garage. You will save tons of space
I like number one the best you’re dad.’s track drawing
I totally understand your frustration I had a go cart business for 6 years and the fires in California hit I lost everything in one day. It sucks to lose your home, income and business. I get your frustration... Gentlemen I would stay away from asphalt you will smoke tires to no end ...
Maybe put down some crush then clay on top, at least the base wouldn't erode as much from rain and make it easier to repair? Take care Brad and Dad and God bless👍💙😇
Hell yeah wish I lived closer I know how to run the equipment and have many years construction and have the eye for racing. Upstate NY
OPTION MILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NGL I moved to the Carolina’s because of the video y’all did shutting down the old shop, and my boy from PA that been tellin us about the race history and Legendary Techs that are he…n I CLEARLY am in the same area 🕺🏽👌🙆♂️🫡
Or maybe I should say I “AGREED” with the wife on moving out here because of that video and Stapleton 🤯🫢🙆♂️
I like the blue one ive raced on one similar any of them look fun tho. Battle of the Brads would be a fun race !!! But you guys will figure out a way to get it done racing is a passion...
You can always do asphalt around the turns to get grip and use concrete for the straightaways a lot cheaper also you can get asphalt that's been used in the past that's been ground up and lay it down and turn it into a track I know people that use it for driveways and it looks the same feels the same as well
Option 3 with an inner oval for a second track, plus a track option with a hairpin that cuts out the inner oval.
I'm in I can run equipment or anything that needs to be done. Obviously I love go cart racing!
Make it something you'll be able to drift on as well!!
Missed you guys at the New England 900 Sucks about your flights was a good time. So I did like option #3 on the track. Very cool video showing How it's made. I would race for sure but man 100K plus to lay the asphalt is hard to swallow! I hope someone out there has an idea on how to get it done.
Have the best of both worlds make it 50/50 DIRT PAVEMENT great equalizer and lots fun Carlsbad raceway back in the 80s 90s
You could do it you’re the DeBerti. You’re amazing.
Dads is the best track.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 it's going to be like Mario kart cow pattys are the banana's 😂😂😂
I'll get a plane to America to meet U guys an race love channel an farther son relationship is something I never ad all love guys ❤
Millers, for sure!!
Option 1 looks the best
I wish you guys would incorporate a circle track into you road course would be cool then you have both. Just like the Roval at charlotte. Road course built into the circle track. Best of both worlds
Cooper River Dragstrip had a dirt return road. They priced asphalt and paving. Priced Concrete. The concert was the cheaper route. Good luck with your project. Keep up the UA-caming.
I'm with Doug do a little at a time. Do half in dirt and the other in pavement. That would be cool.
I would love to race go carts with you guys! Looks like a blast!
You could do concrete in stages as help and money come in
You need a blade specialist I'm the man 60 year old man that gets get flat and can drive with the best race dirt late model driver
Get a drone that can scan the surface, get a perfect topology, and send the CAD model to as many designers as will draw it in 3d.
I recognize those karts!
1/4 scale freedom factory!!!
put me in coach!!! im down to run laps, take me back to the kart days on the weekends growing up at the tracks.
