Fah may like short vanlife excursions if she tried them. Drive around and park by the beach for a little picnic lunch. You don’t need to be a full timer. 🚐

Along with subscribing to your channel, I subscribe to and watch Greeny's channel too. My personal preference would be to reside in the smaller cities of Thailand and use Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket cities as "get out of Dodge" destinations. I really enjoy the visuals of Thai food plate presentations. The Sea of Love is a nice-looking resort. The cost of living in Thailand would be doable for many living in Western countries. If not for my spouse, I would be joining you James as an American expat. I understand the subtlety of your humor; it aspires to the next level of intellectual humor. Hahahahahahaha! Winner winner chicken dinner! I go along with your philosophy on spending! It's your money Brother; do what you do!
Personally, I think there's a noticeable difference between buying something inexpensively versus buying something cheaply.
I can buy something inexpensive and still get something of quality. On the other hand, when I bought something cheap I found that I usually got what I paid for.
I know you aren't in BKK but we went to banthatthong area which was suggested by the Manager at the BKK conrad Executive lounge and I was the only non thai there. It was the best food area I've ever seen in thailand. No Chinese, Only Thai and me. :) It had one street only deserts. I uploaded some raw footage, we ate there 2 nights and paid $6 usd for both meals. (for 2) (its near stadium one)
We just went on a six week trip from Hua Hin to Southern Thailand. Next time will be in a rented truck conversion all loaded with bed, shower, AC, etc. would have been a blast to have the flexibility to stay anywhere we chose to park.
How about get a CDL A and drive big rigs with Fah all over the US. It's like van life but your getting paid to do it. Not to mention you will become a popular youtube trucker

International drivers permit is simply a Thai translation of your home countries license. Need a medical cert which takes 20 min and minimal cost, and of course a valid drivers license from your home country.

James, maybe I'm a little old school, but I am the low maintenance guy who likes a low maintenance gal who will be satisfy with eating at Terminal 21. I can't imagine ever spending more than 700B for two people to eat at one sit down meal. I am a flexible man though, if my gal doesn't feel like eating at Terminal 21, then we can go eat at the Hungry Hippo restaurant. Good luck James with those 1,200B bills. I know I can spending $35 for each meal in Thailand, but I was raised to be modest with my spending by poor but loving parents, it just would not sit right with me to be so wasteful with an extravagance food spending habit.
