I have 37 pairs of Docs. The oldest pair are from a relative and they are over 30 years old. I break them in with Mink Oil or the Dr. Martens Balsam. Mink Oil is more effective. The thing with heating them is of course a problem. But i have done it by myself often. If you nurish the leather right after heating it there should be no problem. Indirect heat is the way to go. (The Tapes which can easily be removed) Im also not afraid to heat the boot and put Balsam or Mink oil on the inside of the back of the boot. Thats also quiet effective. It's a bit messy. Your socks get oily. And you have to avoid putting the mink oil on the insole cause there is a chance the insole separates from the boot when it comes into contact with balsa and oil. I think breaking them in is part of the experience. To know that the shoe is molded to your foot is worth it suffering all the pain. The 30 ´+ years old ones just feel like they are a second skin. So much comfort. Martens nowadays probably don't last that long. But in the end Thailand Docs last long enough to justify the price. Nice video. :-)
Thank you so much for your tips, I hadn't thought of tape to protect the feet from blisters! Glad to hear the mink oil is good too, what type of indirect heat do you recommend? Yes I bet those old docs are almost like wearing slippers! Sad that they are no longer all made in England but its good to know they will still last a good amount of time 🙏 thanks again I really appreciate the tips!
I have a pair of work boots in good condition like sheeesh good condition! 20 or more years old my dad used it in his graduation then he gave it to me and although the boots were size 7… and I had size 9 - 9.5 shoes for running and basketball these size 7 didn’t even feel bad until after a while and wow did it hurt. I used it for 1 day to school XD took my time walking, it was that bad and anyways I’m getting another pair for my self and I like the combat boots with my military pants. will be nice to have with the Dr.Marten Combat boots.

I refused to do any tricks or shortcuts because I didn't want to damage the leather. But after almost a year, they are perfectly molded to my feet and are amazing! The balm/ mink oil should be a part of the shoe package. I'm even wondering how, after so many years the company hasn't done anything about that issue smh
Silicon heel cups worn outside of the sock and in the boot will definitely help with heel pain. I can’t go anywhere without my heel cups now. They’re also known to heal cracked feet :)
I didn't know I had to break them in so I wore them to school. By the end of the day I was literally limping back home and ended up with terrible blisters. Obviously it still hurt so I decided to do proper research bc the backside of my ankles are damaged 💔

I had no bandaids or plasters on me, so my boyfriend ended up asking the bartender at a club for their first aid kit. My heels are in bits now and I haven't worn them since lol
Ouch! I love love the jadon max too! Great Idea to ask for the first aid kit 👌 it's hard to pluvk up the courage to try them again when they have hurt you but when you break them in properly you will never have them off your feet! Xxx
I have a pair of the docs 1461 shoes, and I used white bar towels and rolled them up and shoved them in my shoes and let them sit overnight. I, too, used the pad method for the backs of the insides of the heels, and that WORKS. That really works for not getting blisters on the backs of your heels. What a fantastic, best idea ever. I used pantiliners, tho, as they are smaller and easier to cut in half. My only place of pain with my docs, was my right pinky toe got a little smooshed and was painful for about a day and a half, which I solved by simply applying some ointment to my pinky toe and wrapping it in a bandaid for two days. I wore them in my house, every day, and took them off mid-afternoon. Leather type really makes a big difference in ease of breaking them in, I think.
I own 13 pairs of Dr Martens and I have never had a pair of platform ones because they are so expensive. I ordered the addina flowers on sale from Zappos. I hope they’re easy to break in. I love your accent
I’ve had mine for 3 years now, still get blisters every time I wear them after a while of not wearing them… I wear them constantly and still never broke them in. I can’t go anywhere in them. It’s a love hate relationship😭
I wore them out for 5 hours the same day I bought them. I wore them with some winter long socks. I did notice by 4-5th hour one of my ankles started getting a little raw. Thought it would be worse, so I had packed other shoes just incase but didn't have to switch. Not too bad for first say out in them. I'll try the pads and cpr 🤭. Thanks!
amazing video! in my opinion the massaging of the Doc is key. also, if you live in an area where Doc sock aren't available you can get the long vans socks and they work amazingly, broke all of my Docs with them :)
finally caved and bought jadon boots this week, and wore them yesterday and today and the blisters are awful! forgot how difficult it is to break these boots in. the pain is real! 😩 the last pair i got was 6 or 7 years ago now. hoping these tricks work for me 🥲
I wanna buy a pair of Jadons and i don’t want it to be painful or get blisters, should i put water inside a bag and put them in the freezer and do those methods until i can wear them? any recommendations?
same i acc feel like im dead it hurts soo bad i have cuts and blisters on the back of my heels and it hurts sm when i try to walk even without shoes now :( GOD WHY ARE DC MARTENS SOOO EVILLL
Just use mink oil or neatsfoot oil. Apply oil. Dry overnight. Brush. Repeat. After a week or two, the oil will be soaked into the leather, and the leather fibers will be softer.
I have a pair of 1460 vonda mono boots. They run a bit big lengthwise, but widthwise, they are perfect. Wearing thicker socks fixes the length, but the biggest problem I have is that the tongue seam in the right boot is tight and digs into my skin. I noticed that you said that is where Dr. Marten's hurt your feet at timestamp 4:03. For me, it's only the right boot. I don't have any pain or tightness with my left boot at all. I've tried wonder balsam on the inside and outside of the boots seams, massaging, stuffing the boot with a soda can. I found that a large tennis ball works better for some reason. For about three months, I've tried walking around in them an hour a day with two layers of socks and bandaids over my foot where the seams are to prevent the digging. I don't have a hair dryer and I also tried putting adhesive mole skin over the seam inside the boot. Nothing is working. I read somewhere online that someone else was having the same issue and said that it could be a defect. By the time I first read that, it was too late for me to return them. I'm considering bringing the boot to a cobbler.
Good tips. I just got a pair of 1914’s last week. I had 1460’s for 13 years. Worst part is the tongue seam. I’ll put some more wonder balsam on them this week. Toughest boots to break in but once they are they’re like slippers.
My 1460 Made In England Boots took a while to break in due to the Original quality but it is well worth it I used thick socks and blister gel heel protectors and it worked fantastic
Just heat the boot for 6min, apply the product Mink Oil Liquid of Fiebings, inside and out, reheat for another 6min, use for a week to help the leather get soft, use the oil for a week when necessary ( if dry). Probto! the leather of this vote is sooooo soft and malleable
I've broken in several pairs of leather work boots and leather combat boots. Folks will tell you to soak them in water, or put bags of ice in them and freeze them. Look, if you want to have your boots last a long time and have the best fit possible there's only two things to do. Wear them for longer periods of time over time, and keep them conditioned. She's right, it just takes time and patience. If you rush it, you can damage the leather or end up with a weird fit. Wear them slowly over time, and keep up on the mink oil. It's worth it in the long run.
Thanks for the thorough video! I also enjoyed reading all of your viewers' comments. Kudos to them! 👍 I use sanitation napkins for various things but i never thought of putting them in my shoes. Great idea! Im trying to talk my teenage son into putting them in his new docs. His reaction has been hilarious! 😂
I bought two pairs of loafers a couple of weeks ago, and they both were really stiff and tight although they were right size. I rubbed them with shoe balm (meant for all kinds of leather products actually) several times and gave them heat with a hairdryer, then I wore them in my house with thick socks for a while every day before going out with them. Now both shoes are broken in and comfortable. I’m planning to do the same thing with my Doc Martens I just ordered. And definitely going to try the sanitary pads for extra help and to avoid blisters!
My heels are all torn up from a different pair of shoes I just got and I’m getting dr martins in a few weeks so I want to break them in fast so that my feet can finally heal lmao
Personally from a decade of breaking in ice skates, DMs didnt give me too much of a challenge, the best thing you can do is treat the leather in the first few weeks and wear them whenever you can. I dont do the thick socks thing.
I have a pair and I’ve worn them for a couple hours a few times but they’re so uncomfy, hopefully some of these tricks will work to help break them in better
Ahh they can be such a pain to break in can't they! I really hope some of the tips work and you find them useful! The balm and heat is definitely what helped me for sure on my particular docs. Good luck! X
I don't waste time, I put them right away and see where they are going to hurt. I put Band-Aids right away where I know any shoe will cause blisters due to bending or rubbing. I also carry additional Band-Aids of different sizes and the moment I feel any discomfort I put a Band-Aid on my foot for that spot. I will wear the shoe for a week, so those Band-Aids (cloth ones, not plastic) that I put on I am not removing them during that week. I also did this when I bought myself a new pair of Fly-London's in Spain while on a 2.5 week holiday visiting my best friend.
The best thing that's worked for me is ankle supports! Like the ones from Scholl, they are thin so they fit over socks but have gel at the heel where your docs cut you 😅
i just got docs for christmas. i'm thinking of wearing them to the airport tomorrow with lots of padding but after watching this maybe i'll leave them till i'm home to wear 😭
I hope you didn’t do it, I wore my Christmas Docs for the first time today, to the movies, dinner, and then the grocery store. I wore two pairs of socks but that wasn’t enough, lol.
I didn't know they hurt so the first time I wore it for about 12 hours. It felt uncomfortable during the 4th hour and absolutely dreadful during the 12th. I got bruises the next day :c
I wore mine for the first time for an 8 hour shift at an extremely busy restaurant 😅 my feet still hurt 4 days later and the bruises/blisters are extreme
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace Btw does the shininess go away after using the wonder balsam or do they stay shiny x , why i ask is cause i like the leather look it comes like. my guess is that it goes away over time but thought i would ask before using it :)
Thanks.I think, I will try this. My 1st dr martens jadon fits me perfectly even I sized down to US 6.My only problem is my left back heel. It developed blisters last monday but it didn't pop. Tomorrow friday, I will wear it again since my working place is 2 minutes away from my home. It's easy to get there.
I got my jadons a week ago and I wore them once for a bit longer because I thought it wouldn't be as bad as everyone is saying, I was wrong. When I came home my feet didn't look like feet anymore I had so many blisters on the back of my feet it was so painful. But I wanna wear them tomorrow so I have to find some kind of way that won't kill my feet.
My boots were great, i broke them in quite easily which was unusual for me, but... 6 months later they decided to try to kill my feet. No idea what happened, it was just so bizarre. The backs of my heels took 6 weeks or so to heal, the only shoes i could wear were jandals. I still have scars now like well 20 years later.
I will try putting sanitary towels on my ankles, today they were bleeding hahaha it hurts so much, but its also funny because I walk so weird because of the pain on my feet. anyways, we do everything for the aesthetic
Oh no I bet they are so sore for you 😫 I hope the sanitary towels give you some relief 🙏 no problem I just hope it helps you out! Hope you break them in real soon. Thanks so much for watching x
Thank you for this video! If you haven't already can you film a shoe collection video? I'd love to see it! My aunt bought me a pair of Newton Docs in 2017 for my bday and I wore them to school not thinking much of it other than the fact that it was super hard to tighten at first. I think I blocked out the pain I had when I first wore them. After many blisters for months they fit like a glove as long as I wear medium thick socks, otherwise the seam will give me a blister. I recently bought black patent 1460s and the seam near the footbox is so tight! I wore them around the house for a couple days but recently had a procedure done on one of my toes so I haven't been able to wear them for a month or so. I've been packing them tightly with folded up socks (I fit 5 pairs of varying thicknesses in each boot) and leaving them to sit after I applied a light coat of castor oil a couple weeks ago. After I break in my new bad boys I might look into the 1461s cause I always liked Oxford heels and thought they might be a cute edition for everyday although I heard they're infamously harder to break in as the shorter back is much stiffer. I was also looking at the Mary Jane's but idk if they're the same way 😬
I have gotten doc martens almost every year since I was a small child and I never broke them in because my mom would get me bigger sizes but right now I got my true size and I have to break them in and I never even knew this was a thing I want to wear these in only 2 days I’m beginning to become doubtful😞
I always wanted Docs but the horror stories kept me away. Then I found Frye Campus boots and holy crap, I'm pretty sure I can make it through a pair of Docs lol. I don't know if anyone has ever done this with Docs but someone told me regarding my Frye boots was to put them on and stand in a bucket of water. I thought they were nuts but I did it and wore them around for the day and never had a problem ever again. Has anyone done this with their Docs?
It's amazing how much time you need to break in Doc Martens. You would think that every single pair they make would be broken in before they sell them!
Forgot to buy mine 😢 how do you recommend to apply it just on the outside? Or inside the ankle area?? Did you stay true to size or size down? How often do you apply the balsam etc
@Oh Keh I applied the bomb twice, especially around the seams! Also I know everyone recommends to tie your shoes uptight but I didn’t and my shoes look fine and I didn’t get any blisters. I got my regular size because in the beginning I definitely needed to wear thick socks! Now I can wear thin long socks and my Dr are so comfortable! And it only took me 2 weeks to fully break them in!
Hi there, my first Dr Martens are no Leather Boots. Don’t know how to describe - english is not my first language. Maybe Kind of a shiny synthetic/plastic Material with ribbed Fabrik on the Inside. Wore them First for a dogwalk and had no idea how Bad a Dr Marten can hurt. Had a terrible already ribbed blister on the back of my foot 😢 Since than i havend touched the Docs. Any advice? All I read About Breaking in is about leather boots. Does this also Work for mine? The Model is called 26887 (1460 Gloss Vegan).
Hey thanks for this this is super helpful, I just got my first pair of docs and want to break them in with minimal trauma 😂 I just wanted to clarify one point - the initial wear (when you’re assessing where it hurts) is this done with just bare feet? Or w the doc double socks?
I got my first pair too on Christmas!! I would not recommend doing anything in these bare foot. Just do regular socks for the initial wear to figure out what hurts, then do thick/double socks while breaking them in normally 👍
Hey 👋 thank you! Oohh defo not bare feet. Just any socks doesn’t have to be doc socks. You just want to see where they hurt on your feet as everyone will be a bit different. You will get an idea where they hurt quite quickly 🤭 good luck x x x
i’m going out to try the jadons i wanna buy to see how they fit, should i wear thinner socks or can i use a little thicker socks which are the ones i usually wear with my other shoes?
Help!!!!! I've got the(I think) 1B60LTT MAX knee highs with big stud eyelets. I've got scars. Iv only wore them twice! And hardly walked in them .. I'm sat hammering them right now. Hey, yes of course as long as they are real leather and not patent then you can for sure try these tips out and find the ones that work best for you! Good luck! X
Someone once told me that filling them with boiling water and leaving for a bit then wearing them after while wet for a bit worked. I am too scared to try it
Did you try wearing double socks? I just ordered the 1461 quads in PLATFORM! I want to try everything to avoid injury to my heel and any other parts of my feet!
I have the Sinclairs too in white. They still do require breaking in but it definitely wasn’t as harsh as the jadon. I still massaged the heel of the boot especially as that’s where the sinclairs got me the most! Good luck and have a lovely vacation 🥰 x
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace Did you stay true to size or size down? In Jadon and Sinclair?? I have the Jadon in a size down I bought years ago. I just ordered my normal size 5 min ago on the site but I forgot to buy the balsam 😢😢😢
You would think so but no, massively helps to protect your foot and still moulds no problem. I just found without in the past it’s taken longer but that could have been because I was bleeding and so sore that I could not bear to put them back on my feet for a few weeks!
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace ohh I understand now! I'll give it a go- I was using those silicone heel things to stop my feet from getting chewed up by the boots. how long do you keep the pad in there until it's comfortable to take it out and wear them normally?
Ah this was like me, a mistake I won’t make again as wow it hurt! Maybe you can try again now and fingers crossed it works and you get to wear your Jadons now 🙏
Ahhh no what a shame that's so frustrating! Usually second hand are so much better because they have been broken in for you. I'm not sure what docs u have, some you can take the insole out to make more room if you are finding them a bit narrow, have you tried taping up your big toe and wearing them bit by bit? You could also cut a sanitary towel to fit where the boot Is rubbing your toe. It's such a shame because they are an amazing shoe they can just cause pain in the beginning. Wish I could help you out more! Hope they stop rubbing you real soon! Let's hope your big toe hardens to them 🙃🤦♀️good luck xx
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace they were only worn once by the girl who sold them to me, so I'm trying to hold on to the hope I just need to break them in. They are the Jadon Smooth Leather. My toes are ok, I can even "play the piano" with them while standing, the only problem is my big toe touching the front, which causes discomfort when I walk. I am trying to break them in by wearing them around the house with winter socks. I hope this will do the trick eventually. Thank you so much for your help! 🥰
@@savannahwhitaker7804 yes! I kept wearing winter socks and eventually, it became less painful to wear the boots because they stretched a bit and got adjusted to my feet. I’ve had mine for 3 years now, still get blisters every time I wear them after a while of not wearing them… I wear them constantly and still never broke them in. I can’t go anywhere in them. It’s a love hate relationship😭
Oh nooooo they definitely are a love hate relationship for most people I hope they stop giving you blisters xxxx
Thank you so much! 💓 yes massaging is the best thing for them isn't it! Ah great tip with the socks! Thank you so much x
Yeoooooo, this is crazy! Looking to get some 1461s and decided to watch this video. Hopefully it isn't as much work as the highs are 💀☠️🏴☠️
finally caved and bought jadon boots this week, and wore them yesterday and today and the blisters are awful! forgot how difficult it is to break these boots in. the pain is real! 😩 the last pair i got was 6 or 7 years ago now. hoping these tricks work for me 🥲
Ouch yes the pain is another level isn't it! But so worth it when they break in 🥰❤ good luck! Xxx
I wanna buy a pair of Jadons and i don’t want it to be painful or get blisters, should i put water inside a bag and put them in the freezer and do those methods until i can wear them? any recommendations?
ahh i got my docs today for school next month and i cant wait to break them in ahhhh. but anyways thanks for the vid, will defo use the tips!
Ah brilliant your going to love them! ❤ thank you x x
Same! I decided to wear them to work to try to break them In and I got home late and my feet ache like crazy! They are bleeding too 😭
I wore mine to school today and by the time I got home my feet were SUFFERING so I’m going to try this
Ouch! I really hope it helps you 🙏 once you break them in a guarantee they will be the comfiest shoe you own! Xx
same i acc feel like im dead it hurts soo bad i have cuts and blisters on the back of my heels and it hurts sm when i try to walk even without shoes now :( GOD WHY ARE DC MARTENS SOOO EVILLL
@@ayski111 IKR LEGIT NOW MY FOOT IS ICHING NOW ITS HURTING
My 1460’s rubbed my leg and gave me blisters at the top of the boot (if that makes sense). What can I do for that?
Just heat the boot for 6min, apply the product Mink Oil Liquid of Fiebings, inside and out, reheat for another 6min, use for a week to help the leather get soft, use the oil for a week when necessary ( if dry). Probto! the leather of this vote is sooooo soft and malleable
Damn I forgot to buy mink oil :( and the balsam oil damn!
Did you stay true to size or size down?
I use sanitation napkins for various things but i never thought of putting them in my shoes.
Oh no there's nothing worse than cut feet! I hope you break them in quickly. 😊
Also use non-brand PANTY liners. They are thinner and they come in smaller sizes :)
The best thing that's worked for me is ankle supports! Like the ones from Scholl, they are thin so they fit over socks but have gel at the heel where your docs cut you 😅
Ahh brilliant idea!!! 👏 will have to try them on my next pair! Thank you! X
That sounds smart where did you get yours from?
i just got docs for christmas. i'm thinking of wearing them to the airport tomorrow with lots of padding but after watching this maybe i'll leave them till i'm home to wear 😭
I hope you didn’t do it, I wore my Christmas Docs for the first time today, to the movies, dinner, and then the grocery store. I wore two pairs of socks but that wasn’t enough, lol.
The period pad idea is genius!!
🥰 saved my feet from bleeding got sure 😁 xx
I didn't know they hurt so the first time I wore it for about 12 hours. It felt uncomfortable during the 4th hour and absolutely dreadful during the 12th. I got bruises the next day :c
They make your feet so sore don't they 😫 Definitely worth the pain as they are soooo comfortable now x
I wore mine for the first time for an 8 hour shift at an extremely busy restaurant 😅 my feet still hurt 4 days later and the bruises/blisters are extreme
@@inesie6926 me too, I did the exact same thing, and I didn't drive at the time so I had a half an hour walk to work and back, it was so painful
Nice video was helpful just got my first pair of jadons. Going to order the shoe care stuff now. :)
Thank you! Good luck 👍 x
Thank you!!! I bought my last year and had only used them twice.
Put moleskin on the inside of the boot on the areas that are bugging you or try the pad tip :)
I'm not a fashion person at all and so buying these was kinda just a fun 'why not try?' I had no idea shoes could require CPR or a good breaking in
Thanks for the CPR and Pad ideas, I have a pair of Hardware Jadon 11 and they cut my heels to shreds last time I wore them 😢
Watching this while giving my docs cpr and wonder balm
I was also looking at the Mary Jane's but idk if they're the same way 😬
I bought docs 30 years ago then went backpacking around Europe. The agony!!
I have gotten doc martens almost every year since I was a small child and I never broke them in because my mom would get me bigger sizes but right now I got my true size and I have to break them in and I never even knew this was a thing I want to wear these in only 2 days I’m beginning to become doubtful😞
SADLY doc have to be broken in, but, not in the 90s they were perfectly broken in?
The sanitary towel is absolute genius 💡
Hope it helps you break them in 🥰 x
Interesting! I've never worn sanitary towels in my boots but good to know!
Thanks for this really helpful video. I got one question: Do you apply the balm everyday on the docs? And when do you stop applying it?
Great tips! Just got some 1461 and I wanna wear them in a trip! Hope they break in!!
Hi lovely my sister has the 1461 and she loves them so comfy! As soon as you break them in you will love them even more xx
omg I have been using my sanitary pads like you do without seeing your video. I could have made a video back several years, lol.
Do they work like a charm?
does it really work? i don’t wanna get blisters and i want to make this process less painful 😢
Damm I just ordered dr martens too wear for uni next week , I can’t believe I will have to do this 😩😩. Thank you for this video 💗
Not gonna lie. I was giggling when I saw the sanitary pads. Honestly my heel hurt so bad I was ready to put a sponge lol.
You look so amazing in those boots 😊
Put the balm on the inside of the boots wear thick socks. Problem solved
It's amazing how much time you need to break in Doc Martens. You would think that every single pair they make would be broken in before they sell them!
The balm works really good!
Forgot to buy mine 😢 how do you recommend to apply it just on the outside? Or inside the ankle area??
Did you stay true to size or size down?
How often do you apply the balsam etc
I recommend the outside! And I also stuffed my shoes with my shirts! It helped to stretch them out faster!
Has anyone got an alternative to the wonder balm for patent boots?
Currently suffering from horrible blisters from my platform docs. Why do they hurt soo bad 😬😭😭 Desperately finding a solution.
What foundation are you wearing and the shade and mascara please x
How do I break in the glitter rose gold booth?
Hi I'm thinking of getting the Multi coloured 1460 pascal boot's, can i use the doc Martin's wonder balm on them??
I just got mine and they have ripped my two little toes to death and back
😫😫 sooooo painful! X
Help!!!!! I've got the(I think) 1B60LTT MAX knee highs with big stud eyelets. I've got scars. Iv only wore them twice! And hardly walked in them .. I'm sat hammering them right now. I want to break them in B4 winter is over and I want to wear them to blidfest in June . I can't see it happening tbh .. 😢 x
gonna do the sanitary towel trick tomorrow!!
Good luck hope it helps you too :-) x
why did I pay so much if now I have to do all this work?.. Is what I wonder while my poor feet bleed
I know its such a pain but once they are broken in they are amazing! Hope they break in quickly for you xx
Hey olivia I have loved your video n likewise the boot, can I knw where did you got that from? I really wanna buy like yours 😊
Hey I have a link in my description box. If you Just Google dr marten jadon you will find some from a local stockist :)
Where to buy the dr marten boots?
would these tips work for the 1461? I can’t find any videos on them, and this was the best one i saw.
Hey, yes of course as long as they are real leather and not patent then you can for sure try these tips out and find the ones that work best for you! Good luck! X
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace thank you! this video was a huge help, have a nice day/evening
great advice... thanks for the help :D
love from Australia!
No problem! Hope it works for you!
Someone once told me that filling them with boiling water and leaving for a bit then wearing them after while wet for a bit worked. I am too scared to try it
Do the Zavala Dr. Martens need to be broken in also?
Well,who knew!!!! Great tips!
Thank you! Hope it helps x
Stupid question, but why do we have to suffer threw so much pain with docs? Can't we just up size?
Surely they would rub if they're a size too big?
Hair dryer to soften the leather
I got the 1461 quads so they're low rise.... wore them around for a few days went on a walk today and the whole back of my heel peeled off yikes 😬
Did you try wearing double socks? I just ordered the 1461 quads in PLATFORM! I want to try everything to avoid injury to my heel and any other parts of my feet!
Great tips. I just got some for work. I’m not scared to wear them now. Lol
Thank you! Once you break them in they will be so so comfy 🥰
so youre able to wear them now with thin socks without pain? for how long?
Yes all day any day. They really do become a comfortable boot. X
Gonna get the Sinclairs which are softer leather so hopefully I can break them in before I go on vacation in a couple weeks 🙏
What’s cpr when it comes to this? Might be a dumb question but this is my first pair of boots I have to break in
I've heard to can use a hammer on the harder bits
Thank you Olivia ❤️❤️❤️
No problem lovely xx
Wore mine once without properly breaking them in...the pain is UNREAL
Did you stay true to size or size down?
Wait the shoe causes sores???
For some people while the leather breaks in, yes. I’ve had the same problem with most boots of different brands that I’ve bought over the years.
Do I have to wait for my blisters to go away to try the pad thing bc it still hurts. 😭
I would've thought that using a pad would've slowed down the breaking in process and wouldn't have moulded to ur foot properly???
You would think so but no, massively helps to protect your foot and still moulds no problem. I just found without in the past it’s taken longer but that could have been because I was bleeding and so sore that I could not bear to put them back on my feet for a few weeks!
@@OliviaBrittanyGrace ohh I understand now! I'll give it a go- I was using those silicone heel things to stop my feet from getting chewed up by the boots. how long do you keep the pad in there until it's comfortable to take it out and wear them normally?
I wore my jadon for a whole day, it killed my feet, after that i didn’t use them for almost 2 years now😭
Ah this was like me, a mistake I won’t make again as wow it hurt! Maybe you can try again now and fingers crossed it works and you get to wear your Jadons now 🙏
What if they hurt only on the big toe and are perfect on the rest of the feet? :(
I bought them second hand and can't return them 😩*
Ahhh no what a shame that's so frustrating!
I have tried using sanitary towels but it's worse because I'm left with even less room on the top and I think I'm not supposed to take off the insole, I tried to see if it came off and it didn't. My toes are ok, I can even "play the piano" with them while standing, the only problem is my big toe touching the front, which causes discomfort when I walk. I am trying to break them in by wearing them around the house with winter socks. I hope this will do the trick eventually. Thank you so much for your help! 🥰
i’m having the same problem, do you have an update? :)
@@savannahwhitaker7804 yes! I kept wearing winter socks and eventually, it became less painful to wear the boots because they stretched a bit and got adjusted to my feet. I just always have to make sure I wear them with thick socks (if I wear normal socks, the boots hurt my feet from rubbing, especially on the big toe).
However, I must say they are NOT the most comfortable shoes I own (not even close). 😅And I guess they will unfortunately never be! 🥴
Do you know if a 5 or 6 hole zipper is available for sneakers? White preferable.
Hey, ive bought doc 2 days ago, the thing Is that my fight foot didnt hurt at all (It hurt a bit,but they are brand new so i think its pretty normal) but the left one did hurt like hell! Should I do the cpr only on the left one or on both?
both to be safe !
