- What is the daily life of a Tibetan monk? This is one of the most intriguing aspects when we talk about the Tibetan plateau. Learn more at www.tibettravel.org/
In this video, let’s have a glimpse of how a monk’s daily life is like in Tibet, which is shown as we followed a head monk, who lives in the Jhoden monastery, about three hours driving east of Lhasa.
He leads a fairly peaceful and simple life. His daily schedule consists of morning Buddha offering, meditation, praying for the peace and harvest of the villages around his monastery, and night chanting.
You may find they are living a simple and happy life, but it’s not easy. They need to keep pursuing their Buddhist study and praying for the blessings of the Goddess of Mercy.
From the early morning to the late-night, see how he will enjoy the day. We hope you will enjoy the video and let us know what you think below.

I don't know why i feel sooo connected with this tune with this life....my heart is always craving for this life...what a peaceful life it is...lord buddha🙏
Its a battle with your vice instincts to lead such a life. There was peace in every second of this video. Good job.
I am from India. What an amazing life they are leading without any worries only with peace and offering prayers to lord Buddha. Really wonderful.
Seeing the life that the monk lives is so beautiful. Ideally living in that simplicity is all I want in life. Its very difficult to have that in the states. So much hate here for nothing. Everyone hates something or someone. That is why when it was explained in the video that the woman was praying for every living being I started crying because that was truly beautiful. I really needed to see people like that. There needs to be more of this in the world. This is so much more fulfilling and beautiful. I was suggested this video after studying the Heart Sutra Mantra. Ty to the monks, ty Tibet Travel for presenting us this video, and everyone else who is on the wave length of peace and simplicity. I will follow that woman's example and pray for all living things.
We are just existing, and he's living.
It is not easy for us to find a chance to record a whole day video of Monk Mr. Tashi. hope you enjoy it. and also thank you for recommend this to your friends we will try our best to record more amazing things in Tibet.
My personal space is tranquil, I step outside and it's chaos and dirty. I clean the bottom of my shoes daily.

I need a little help with MJ , cause and effect , city and environment
Amazing! This is the most difficult life one leads. To the untrained eye, it might seem it's easy, but the very point of living such a monastic life is to be meditative throughout. Whatever he did from the beginning till the very end, he was completely conscious and aware...being busy every moment, but with intent. This is what meditation is all about. A state of being meditative. Simple life, small tasks, being meditative. Then one might think of living a career oriented life, with the same meditativeness.
I felt peace just by watching this video. It’s so calm and settling. No busy and noisy traffics, not rushing, no crowds. Just pure peacefulness. Nothing to worry about.
Monk kept on smiling... so humble
Greetings from Oklahoma, USA. Thanks for 18 minutes of peace to me.
I am from India
Children are so pure and full of life, lifting the spirit.
Practicing the same monks life for some fifty years or more or until death requires unconditional love and respect for Lord Buddha and His teachings.
