So much fun! I couldn’t watch it in one go (or 2 or 3 etc) and o kept forgetting I hadn’t finished your video. So it took me a while to get to the end, but it was such a pleasant surprise every single time that I found out I had more wip parade to enjoy. But I completely forgot all the things a had something to say about. I’m just happy you’re happy again!
OMG I was at Stitch Con B and would’ve loved to meet you!! And wouldn’t it be wonderful if Ailarra came too!! Have fun on all your travels! I am soo glad you are happy now and understand that you can come out of “whatever” and be happy. ❤❤❤
I am in awe of how fast you can stitch. You have great variety and I really enjoyed your WIP parade. Any book by Robin Hobb is terrific. She is a great storyteller.
So nice to see all your projects. I would'nt mind to wach this every week lol. The bookshelf is just amazing! A book recommendation is The time travelers wife. Love the book. Thank you for taking the time to let us enjoy this movie! Happy Stitiching!
I am a big fan of Ailarra too! But I am SO behind on my Flosstubes and I started from the bottom up and I am only to the “S’s!” But I will get there eventually! Life gets in the way of my stitching sometimes! Anyway, thank you for keeping me company today and I loved all your projects!!! ❤
Congrats on your 1.5 year flosstubiversary! Love seeing all of your WIPs and finishes! And seeing Treasure Hunt Bookshelf fully unrolled! The back is way cool! I love the little Discord community you have created! Sounds like lots of fun stitching and family stuff in your future! For a fun read for you and Kailyn, I would suggest the Janitors series by Tyler Whitesides...sixth graders discover that schools are infested with magical creatures that feed off of brain waves that make kids fall asleep, get distracted, or get the dumbs! Janitors (not custodians!) are supposed to fight them and protect the schools and students...but the Bureau of Educational Maintenance has taken a turn and have become the villains (dun dun dun!) There's a sequel book (new series maybe?) in September, so of course I'm going through all 5 books again :P Hope you are having a great stitchy day! Hugs!
I love your bookshelf, you made amazing progress! All your other WIPs are gorgeous too but that one just stands out to me! Book recommendation would be Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes - I have this on my reading list currently because I heard such good things about it
I enjoyed your video so so much. I love to see your progress on the fantasy bookshelf. It was fun to see all your other projects. The book that I recommend you, is the trilogy His dark materials. I especialy love to read the firts book, Nothern Light. Have a nice stitchty time.
Beautiful projects. Your bookshelf is so amazing. My book recommendations are the silent patient and the housemaid by Freida McFadden. Its good to hear you are in a good place.
Hi Suki! There are no words to describe the awesomeness of your bookshelf 😊I love a lot of your projects, your taste is similar to mine in many areas. I look forward to seeing the progress on your wips. I also love The drawn Thread patterns. I’m almost done with the apple blossom kit. I want to do the garden series by them, and the Welcome series. Silks are incredibly satisfying to work with, aren’t they? Love, love, love❤ And they glide through the fabric smooth like buttah, lol 😂 I haven’t had time to read as much lately, but I can tell you that one of my absolute favorite books of all time (nonfiction) is Messages From The Masters (Tapping into love) by Brian Weiss, M.D.
Good to finally get back to your videos. Hope your better. I am struggling also with my flosstubes. I’ve been doing more of the challenges and the sals happening lately plus meeting weekly with other crafters! you look great and happy :-)
I love watching WIP parades even though I don’t like starting too many things.Your stitching is beautiful. I am a big reader and so it’s hard to pick just one. I guess it would be JD Robb’s in Death series because it is so addictive (I’m on book #34). I started reading them with my sister before she passed away and it helps to remember our love of reading.
Love seeing all your beautiful projects of course! Thanks for keeping me stitching company for 3 hours!! I've been reading sooooo many good books this year. It's going to be one of my best years I can already tell. But a fantasy that I recently particularly enjoyed is Fonda Lee's new novela Untethered Sky. It's hawking but with rocs (the giant birds from Arab folklore) so there ends up being a huge science emphasis on the technical way that you would go about training birds that are bigger than you and could kill you without batting an eye. I super enjoyed it and it was a fast and engaging read. But it was a bit gory 😅
Congratulations on 1.5 years Suki!! 🎉🎉🎉 Absolutely love seeing your bookshelf and the enchantress and all the finishes!! One of my favorite books is the Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston, which is beginning her Pride Series.
Omg!! Our brains synced at the same time. It was SCARY! I often think about stitching these large full coverage pieces and then wanting to stitch a million other things plus I do other crafts and I think to myself that I don’t have enough life left to finish them all. (I am 48 currently) Then you said OUT LOUD what was just going through my mind. 🤦🏻♀️ I always wondered if others thought/felt the same as me. Okay, like you said, no more morbid! I love your channel! 😆💗 Oh, my book suggestion is Body of Evidence by Patricia Cronwell
This is the first video of you I've seen. I've subscribed and can't wait to see your progress on all the LotR patterns! Edit: 123stitch doesn't ship to my country so I can't participate in the giveaway, but I'd like to recommend Where the crawdads sing by Delia Owens and The house in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
All of your wips look amazing! I'm always so impressed by your progress on your bookshelf I have no idea what types of books you'd like, but I recently read Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales and really loved it. It's not really a deep and meaningful read, but it was really funny and cute and exactly what I needed at that time
Wow! I love the bookshelf! The last novel I read was Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. It is a story told in her sister's point of view and the struggles she goes through by her sister's side. I like historical novels once in a while. They intrigue me. It is a 3 series set of books, but I have only read the first one. Happy Stitching!
Gorgeous bookshelf! I just bought the mini size. I know I will lose a lot of details in the smaller size, but it will be my first full coverage attempt. I am reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver and recommend it!
This was so much fun to watch! I like how you organized everything by start date…it helped me follow your timeline as you did. 🤭 I chuckled out loud when you froze on the How Great Thou Art segment. I’m doing It Is Well 😉 (🤫 might have a finish on it today!) And of course, your shelf stole the show 🎉 Chat later girl! ❤❤❤
Going by start date reminds me just how old some of these pieces are and need more love. 🙈 And yes! It Is Well!! I could see your fabric and thread combo so clearly but couldn't remember which one. Haha! 🤍
Hi Suki! LOVED seeing Treasure Hunt Bookshelf in all her glory. 😍 I have Woodland Enchantress as a WIP too - maybe I'll try to do another Ruth Sanderson fairy background first like you...🤔💭 I love listening to audiobooks while I stitch. ( : The Witch Elm has the most peaceful narration I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. The subject is somewhat dark, but the narrator speaks so softly with a lovely Irish accent. I also just started the Dresden Files. It's narrated by the actor who played Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he's lovely as well. ( :
I am very happy to see you happy ❤❤❤ I don't read a lot but I recommend Little Women, I think you must already have read it but I loved it. Happy stitching
One of the best narrators of audiobooks in my opinion is George Guidall. I especially liked his reading of Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth. Having read the book, the movies were so disappointing. George Guidall’s rendition had me laughing so hard I had to pull out of traffic twice. I would highly recommend this audiobook.
Suki, time flies! Love your stitching, but the best is to see you so happy! I would recommend you to read 'Baltasar and Blimunda' by Jose Saramago. It is an historical novel, and a beautiful love story :)
Love all your projects, but especially the bookshelf as I’m an avid reader. My recommendation is Victim without a face by Stefan Ahnhem as it takes place in my home town.
It’s so good to see you again and catch up. You have certainly done a lot. I love that you’re on the other side of this and you look so happy and free! A great book I just finished through my library audibly called The last thing he told me by Laura Dave very good book, if you like heartfelt thriller mystery’s. You definitely have the wips. I just counted mine, active wips are in the 30s! Mine are nowhere near as large as yours though but I tell myself it’ll take me years to finish them also lol.😘😃😅 happy summer and great to see you and catch up again. I’ll be checking discord on and off throughout the summer.
I only recently discovered your channel, so have been working through your floss tubes starting at number 1. Your bookshelf is amazing and really inspiring! My book recommendation is the wolf hall series by Hilary Mantel.
I am lost for words Suki, Holly the cross stitch addict mentioned your beautiful work, and I had to find out what she talking about. (((((((((((HUG))))))))))))))
Congratulations on your 1.5 years! Love your wip parade! ❤ I'm into suspense thrillers and I have just finished reading Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough If you love reading such genre I would suggest that book... It's ending just blew me away! The plot twist was really shocking!
Books I would recommend off the top of my head are The O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson. Also, I haven't read the book yet, but I love the movie The Prinesses Bride and I just finished the book As You Wish, Inconceivable Tales of The Making of The Prinesses Bride. You you love the movie you will love this book.
Hi Suki! I am new to your channel and enjoyed seeing your wip parade. I am rereading an old fav with my highschoolers so I will recommend it...Anne Karenina 👍 Blessings!
Totally loved watching your WIP parade! You have such a nice wide variety. Inspirational ✨. My book is an esoteric book “The Sophia Code by Kaia RA. Thank you for sharing ✨🌍✨ Lorri
Hello, Suki! I haven't checked in on you for a while (not sure if you'll even remember, I tend to be a silent watcher), because I haven't been doing too well for the past few months, but I thought an anniversary WIP parade would be the perfect time to get back into your channel and flosstube in general. Please keep being your wonderful, genuine self, I adore watching your videos! :D My book recommendation: I would tell you pretty much anything by Brandon Sanderson because he's amazing in the fantasy genre, but The Stormlight Archive is definetely his best work. Alternatively, if you're not in the mood for high fantasy and long sagas, during my low time I fell in love with fantasy romance and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas and became obsessed with the series. Hope I got your interest peaked and that maybe you'll have a look at them!
Hi Suki. I enjoy your floss tubed and love all your WIPS. I am right now working on the HEADS Gandolf. I am half done with the second row. I have been Stitching since 1994 and never have counted how many stitches. Do you count each stich of the X or an X as a stitch? All you guys talk about stitch count.🥴 My favorite books right now are the 3 Sarah J Maas series. Thanks for sharing.🤗
I only talk about stitch count for my digital patterns 😅 otherwise, I have no idea how many stitches I do. I don't like to keep track manually. But Pattern Keeper tells me numbers and all I have to do is a little bit of calculation to know those stitch counts. It scratches my nerdy itch! I have the Gandalf pattern! One day I'll start it. Like.... Years from now.
I love how you show us all that it is okay to need help and love from those around you. Love In The time of serial killers by Alicia Thompson. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
I just want to give a book suggestion even if I might not be valid for this. X) One of my favourite books for age 10-12 was/is Sofies world by Jostein Gaardner. I don’t know how old your child is, but I really loved that book as a (pre)teen. The author got several books for that age that are very food for thought. Cheers!
Hi. I found you today. Wow! Such big projects! Seems scarey to me! They are so beautiful tho. My book recommendation is " Where the crawdads sing" by Delia Owens. My other recommendation is " depression free naturally " by Dr. Larson. It has been a life saver for me. This last year has been a real challenge for me and my head, but finding " flosstube in February of 2022 has been a blessing for me. This community is a blessing.
OMG your bookshelf is Gorgeous! So vibrant! I’m hoping to start Once Upon a Fairy tale so could you share the size of your fabric and the length of your scroll bars? Thank you!
I love movies so my favorite movie Are " cold montains " with Jude law 😍💞🙏 so Great to spente some time with you again, miss thoose live! Hugs Gurli 💞😍 ( my wish list is like a looong Year ) 😂😂😎😎🙏🙏💞💞😍😍 and all your stunning stitching!!! Omg!
I have a recommendation, not sure if you’ve already read it. It is a fantasy novel An Ember In The Ashes 4 book series. It’s by Sabaa Tahir. It came out in 2015. Well done parade. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
Fully finishing things isn't a strength for some of us. I stitched 2 gifts, bought finishing supplies, mounted stitching on backing board, got the backing fabric on the mounting board...and now I cannot motivate myself to stitch them together and put trim on. I'm literally 2/3 done and it's just lingering. So perhaps you just need to look for a finisher to take away the mental hurdle of finishing.
1. Your hair looks fantastic! 2. I’m SO happy that you are in a good place ❤ As always your WIPs are just stunning and with the fantasy theme I have to recommend fantasy. The Way of Kings or Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson!
I'm reading the second Mistborn book right now! I really like Sanderson even though I've only read a few of his books so far. I'm reading him in chronological publication order just for fun!
Oops forgot to give my book recommendation! I’m going to go classic and give you my all time fave “The Count of Monte Cristo” disregard if you have read it 😊
@@thebrowneyedstitcher I just laughed out loud in the car and had to explain to Ken why I was snorting 🤣🤣🤣🤣 good for you! Gold star ⭐️ for the old skool effort too 👏🏼 😝
Happy 1.5 year, and awesome ur daughter got into kpop, me personally i love kdrama more. Kpop is awesome its the behind the scenes that is sad and many committed suicide because of the bullying from fans and their agency. I also love Korean foods she should try their food and watch the dramas. Love the wips
She has watched some of the k-dramas! And she likes what she has tried of their food. She says she likes Korean better than Chinese food. Delving into all of the behind the scenes is what she's been doing so much of with kpop nowadays.
You have so many amazing projects on the go!! It's always so fun to watch a WIP parade. 😊I'd love to join your discord community, but the link seems like it expired!
It was good spending time with you today! I agree....150 days is too long 😂. If you're keen for a YA novel, I highly recommend Children of Time by Deborah Moulton (NOT the series by Adrian Tchaikovsky, though they may be good, too). It's out of print, but was sucha fantadtic read in middle school, that I tracked it down as an adult and got a defunct library copy lol. 💙
Used books FTW! I don't like how many books go out of print because of some social agenda thing. Not that that is the reason here but it took often is. Also... 152 days is what my tracker says right now!!!! Far too long.
I was watching your flosstube this morning and I’m in love with your haed book shelves. I’m just wondering about what kind and size frame you’ve been using. I have a haed that I’m sort of afraid of and one off my excuses for not having started it is that I don’t have a big enough frame and/or scroll. I also wonder about the two over one technique you said you’ve been using. I’ve just recently started stitching and I kind of don’t really understand how that works
Two videos I can recommend you to check out is my flosstube #5 to see my setup and frame and all of that for my Bookshelf. The second video is a tent stitch video I made that covers all the differences of tent stitching techniques and may give you an idea on if you want to try it or not. 🤍

When I was learning Japenese, and told by my ex who was born and still lives there, Suki is just a like, or strong like. They don't have an true way to say they "love" someone, but that would be the lesser way for it, based on my knowledge.
Yeah, every culture has their own nuances and it's hard to translate sometimes. I think because Suki does indicate a stronger like, it's easier to translate it to love within English. 🤷🏻♀️
@@thebrowneyedstitcher It is for sure the "Quick learn" or "Go to". It gets very complex sometimes. My habits had me calling Temu (Teh-moo) Instead of how they actually call it 😅Past relationships really can really shape you, lol! Tough, I am still thankful to have gained some language.
Love your work as always Suki. If you’re ever after a nonfiction read on needlework, I’d highly recommend Threads of Life by Clare Hunter. I absolutely loved it. Sadly it’s not illustrated, but it’s still amazing.,
Suki! No more Wips 😂😂 seriously I loved the nearly 3hours hhhmmm good books 13 by Steven cavanagh great murder story, healing the bee keeper of Aleppo xxx
Can you do one of you projects as a stitch with me, like gemma does. She does a hour and a half on Wednesday and Sunday. Love to watch every stitch being put in

Hi Suki! I am new to your channel and enjoyed seeing your wip parade. I am rereading an old fav with my highschoolers so I will recommend it...Anne Karenina 👍
Blessings!
Welcome!! 🤍
Your bookshelf is amazing!11❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!! 🤍🤍🤍
I loved your video, its always like setting down with a friend 😊 an oldie but a goody, Gone with the Wind ❤
Never have I ever read nor seen Gone With The Wind 🙈
Loved seeing all your projects. I love The Lost Years of Merlin series by T A Barron
I adore your bookshelf piece. It is gorgeous!
Thank you!! I love it too.
congrats on 1.5 years on Floss Tube, my book recommendation is the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
I made it through four or five of that series! Then I got distracted.... Or something. I can't remember!
Totally loved watching your WIP parade! You have such a nice wide variety. Inspirational
✨. My book is an esoteric book “The Sophia Code by Kaia RA. Thank you for sharing ✨🌍✨
Lorri
Hello, Suki! I haven't checked in on you for a while (not sure if you'll even remember, I tend to be a silent watcher), because I haven't been doing too well for the past few months, but I thought an anniversary WIP parade would be the perfect time to get back into your channel and flosstube in general. Please keep being your wonderful, genuine self, I adore watching your videos! :D
My book recommendation: I would tell you pretty much anything by Brandon Sanderson because he's amazing in the fantasy genre, but The Stormlight Archive is definetely his best work. Alternatively, if you're not in the mood for high fantasy and long sagas, during my low time I fell in love with fantasy romance and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas and became obsessed with the series. Hope I got your interest peaked and that maybe you'll have a look at them!
Brandon Sanderson is a fantastic author! I haven't read any Sarah J. Maas yet but I know so many people love her series.
Congratulations on your 1.5 years! I would suggest "the book of embraces" from Eduardo Galeano (short stories).
Oooh short stories!
Beautiful stitching.
Thank you! 🤍
The stitching community is so wonderful! Glad to have you around. Big projects aren't for everyone but I love them!
OMG your bookshelf is Gorgeous! So vibrant! I’m hoping to start Once Upon a Fairy tale so could you share the size of your fabric and the length of your scroll bars? Thank you!
The In Death series by J.D. Robb is a dark but fun series. It's over 50 books now so its a lot to get through.
Seconded! Also, I found the narrator of the audio book to be amazing! So I can read and cross stitch, knit, quilt, etc while enjoying the series.
What???? Over 50 books???
@thebrowneyedstitcher book 57 is being released in Sept, book 58 is scheduled for Jan 2024 release.
Omg!
Gotta figure out how to do those lives regularly! I started working out and that's been an adjustment for sure.
I have a recommendation, not sure if you’ve already read it. It is a fantasy novel An Ember In The Ashes 4 book series. It’s by Sabaa Tahir. It came out in 2015. Well done parade. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
Love fantasy but haven't read that one!
100% probably should. It's not like we can't do it. It's just... A mental hurdle is right. 🫂🤍
Books that changed History: From the Art of War to Anne Frank‘s Diary by DK (not entering the give-away, but I did genuinely love this book! 😊)
A book about books!!
I’m going to go classic and give you my all time fave “The Count of Monte Cristo” disregard if you have read it 😊
I've read this!! Unabridged!! With my eyes! It took me three months but was such a good read.
Im new to your channel Im from Canada, love your choices of patterns.
Welcome!! 🤍🫶🏻🤍
One of my all-time favorite books is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
I've heard really good things about The Nightingale.
Incarnations by Susan Barker
The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
The Ground Beneath Her Feet or Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie
Night Gardening by E.L. Swann
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn
Grimm's Fairy Tales or Aesop's Fables
Tales of East Africa, Monstrous Tales and/or Russian Tales by Kate Forrester, et. al.
Oooh lots of recommendations!!
For my many chatelaines what i do is i do all the xs, then specialty, back stitching per page i will leave beading super last 1:12:13
That is what I am most leaning towards doing. Just keeping it one step at a time instead of intermingling them. 🤍
Hi! I'd recommend "the great alone"
My favorite book to recommend is lonesome dove
🤍
Congrats on 1 1/2 years!! I love your full coverage ❤. Have you read “Where the Crawdads Sing?” It was a great book & it has been made into a movie.
I haven't read it but I keep hearing great things about that book! 🤍
Love your work as always Suki. If you’re ever after a nonfiction read on needlework, I’d highly recommend Threads of Life by Clare Hunter. I absolutely loved it. Sadly it’s not illustrated, but it’s still amazing.,
Oooh, an intriguing recommendation!!
what count are stitching your bookshelf on and over what?
Wow! Your bookshelf is STUNNING! Can I ask what size frame you use? I love that!! Xx
Suki! No more Wips 😂😂 seriously I loved the nearly 3hours hhhmmm good books 13 by Steven cavanagh great murder story, healing the bee keeper of Aleppo xxx
Hahahahahaha!!!!! Right now I don't want to start more so we're good there. 😁🥰🤍🤍🤍
Can you do one of you projects as a stitch with me, like gemma does. She does a hour and a half on Wednesday and Sunday. Love to watch every stitch being put in
I usually do my stitch with me's as live streams! They're very conversational and we get into all sorts of topics. 🤍
Do you know where you are going to hang your bookshelf when it's done?
I have not a single idea. 😆
The Ghostbird Series by C.L. Stone❤
🤍
Lessons in Chemistry and The Four Agreements..different genre but both very good
The Four Agreements is one I own and still haven't read.
Like reading anything.
дякую🤗🍀🍁🍂
🤍🫶🏼🤍
Your bookshelf is just wow 😍
My book recommendation is Veronica Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho
Is your bookshelf 2 over 1, or 2 over 2. 28 ct?
I have it. Yours encouraging. So beautiful.
So sorry for the lengthy delayed response. My Bookshelf is 2 over 1 tent stitch on 28ct.
You should read Ready Player One! My husband and I listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic.
What do you mean when you said 28 count, two strands and (10th stitch?) 10 stitch?
Tent stitch! Getting that second t said can be a challenge 😅
Beautiful projects as always! Sarah Maas' A Court of Thorns and Roses is great - have you read the series? I just got into them recently.
I haven't read it!
