Aaron, well done Sir ! thank you for your honest and fair review. Please remember, I am always at your disposal if you need assistance with Rapid Bike. Best Regards, Y.T.
Rapid Bike USA you guys are good to go and you have a great product. There are some little things that could be better but that’s gonna be everywhere. I can’t wait to see what else RB comes up with!
You did a great breakdown of the product IMHO. One of the most honest and forthcoming reviews I've ever watched. You should do reviews. Thanks again and great video.
Jonah Baunoch Thank you for the kind words, I’d love to do more but there’s a limit to what I can afford/get my hands on. I’ll keep doing them whenever I can.
You mentioned your race at Roebling. This is tentatively going to be my first track day. Been watching a lot of WERA Vids there. Good review, Hope to see you at the track sometime. Stay safe!
Great review ive been waiting for this video for awhile now it was well worth the wait. I was on the fence for months now about this product. Your review really helped me make up my mind. And yes you should definitely by a kawasaki next time around bro.
great review bro I have a 2011 r6 and I have been watching this product for a while now but am actually going to take the leap and purchase this after your review cause I really think it will work well on my r6
Just a update i decided with a pc5 + autotune for my 4th gen zx10r. Ive had it for about 3 weeks but havent been riding to much. It has gotten my fuel map within the margins that are optimal for mybstyle of riding. Overall imm happy with the setup in not 100% proficient in using every aspect of it but im getting there. Like adding or taking away timing, tuning individual cylinders, etc. Plus i got a great deal pc5 $296.00, autotune $245.
Dude, that's a good deal. Next time hit me up, I'm a sales rep for a CLC Racing and can supply you with anything you need. I'll beat any internet price you show me as long as we are a dealer lol!
Good info. You had a PC and a Bazzaz. I just installed a Bazzaz Z-Fi unit. How was it? I'm only trying to tune my bike for street drivability in the lower gears and RPMs, not necessarily for power gains.
The Bazzaz is a good system, just have it tuned by a reputable shop and you'll be happy for years. A buddy of mine currently uses the same system from when he bought it over 5 years ago. Works perfect!
Afternoon Aaron, looking at buying the race for a KTM 890. The power commander has maps that release some power due to mild ignition timing and they make it bit more aggressive. The rapid bike race can manage ignition timing, is this done automatically or will I need to set the ignition timing? Appreciate your expertise
The ignition timing is not "auto" like the MyTuning Module that tunes fuel. Timing adjustments need to be done on a dyno because that is the best way to see if there is any change (positive or negative)... for now, I would suggest you leave the ignition maps alone and focus on fuel. When you get the opportunity to use a dyno, then start tuning for a better ignition curve.
@AaronDearborn thank you for the awesome content, so im looking into getting my ecu flashed. Can I run a rapid bike Evo on my bike ? Just as long as they don't mess with any sort of mapping thru ECU correct?
I just picked up a 2016 ZX10R and everything I've heard about the Kit ECU would suggest that's where you need to go UNLESS you are 100% street. Then go with the Woolrich system, don't bother with RB, Woolrich flashes are outstanding and much more bang for the buck. I'm using a Woolrich flash on my ZX10R currently until I switch to the Kit ECU system.
Aaron Dearborn thank you for the advice brother . I'm not going to be taking my bike to the track anytime soon, mostly commuting & canyon riding. How are you liking your zx so far I love mine next bike for me is s1000rr
Hey! I’m getting the Rapid bike evo auto tuning fuel management system for my 2019 mt09. Putting a full SC Project CR-t exhaust on it with a sprint air filter. Anything you can think of that I will need to do on top of just installing it and riding? Sound dumb but I wanna make sure there’s no other steps I need to take to make sure the bike runs smooth and last long. Thanks for the video.
I would suggest you unlock the ECU but DO NOT have the flashing service do anything with the fuel tuning. Then I would simply contact RB and get them to set you up with the right path for the auto tuning and go from there. Plan on getting on a dyno at some point. It's a good way to see if the tune is working.
Crow I'm literally doing the same thing. 2020 MT-09, Rapid Bike Evo Auto Tune with SC Project Sonic Exhaust and Spring Air Filter. Did you go to MotovationUSA here in Austin? How's your experience thus far? Feel free to hmu on ig or email @karnivorekurt or kurt.yazici@gmail.com
@@AAron_Rides Aaron if you unlock the ECU does that void the warranty? Is that a simple process my bike guy would know how to do ? I'm not the handyman doing all the work, I just research, buy the parts and he does all the actual labor and install work.
Karnivore Kurt While I can’t possibly know all the manufacturers policies for warranties, I would say that anything dealing with the inner workings of the ECU is going to void the warranty.
Great video! I have been looking for a tune kit for my 2017 R1. It only has 150 miles, so still brand new. And with everything you said, about sensors and electronics, (launch control) etc. My bike already had all of those electronics. So I am simply looking for a tuner to assist my bike with the exhaust, fuel/air ratio, and overall running of the bike. I'm not a track guy, I don't race, I enjoy riding the canyons and streets. My thought process was to buy the rapid bike evo to self tune(on the fly), and call it a day. But I'm not too sure. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
Kyle Nguyen Honestly, I would say you should look at working directly off the ECU via Woolich or FT ECU. If you want any kind of “active tuning” then go with FT ECU. It’s much less clutter and about the same price. Hope this helps!
Kyle Nguyen well the 3 isn’t made anymore so it would have to be the PCV, but that being said you still have all that extra fluff to install and maintain. By using the ECU flashing (which ALSO added power via de restriction) you only need to add the FT ECU auto tuner and maybe a QS/Blipper if you want. Much cleaner install and works just as well.
Kyle Nguyen the QS (aka Quick Shifter) is for wide open throttle clutchless up shifts. The Blipper is similar but for down shifts it “blips” the throttle for you so the clutch isn’t needed. Pretty trick stuff, I have it on my 2016 ZX10R. Once I set off from the pits, I don’t touch the clutch ever until I head off track.
Hi bro i have bmw 1000rr i want buy rapid race but i have question i have to buy my tune also with tht and after connect ths 2 things can i have to dyno tune?
Marcus Hill the biggest difference in the “main” or “base” ECU is the addition of an Engine Braking feature. RB uses their own algorithms to adjust the YCC-I and fine tune the engine dec character to our own liking. The RACE ECU also has the ability to activate launch control and traction control. They also have the MyTuning Module that will self-map as you ride (which is what this video is focused on).
Dario Dipaola no, they just didn’t want to run a serious business. Just wanted to get dealer pricing on parts for personal builds. Once I figure that out, I resigned.

So it is plug n play?
No computer or tuning needed?

Pretty close, but you will have to assume some level of risk.

It's only for bikes RB supports. Basically most of the newer, more popular models are supported. Check their website for availability.
