Originally Troy was supposed to be part of a duo with Pierce, as evidenced by their amount of scenes together in the pilot. But Donald and Danny had such natural chemistry together, that Troy and Abed's bromance was born!

The worst thing about community was the last season and a half without Troy and Abed. Never seen a better and more genuine friendship portrayed by two actors.
S4 worse imo, Troy and Abed are great but Jeff and Abed are the best pair in the whole show and S6 especially had a lot of that. Also great character growth from Abed, Annie and Jeff in S6 + Elroy and Frankie are hilarious.
@@dh3913oh yeah, season 4 is way worse, but that’s why I’m just saying the worst thing about s5&6 was the lack of Troy and Abed. Otherwise, those 2 seasons are actually some of my favorites behind season 3 and 2. I loved Jonathan Banks and Keith David so much.

He definitely had the best character ark; he became nicer after every season, he may have a somewhat clingy relationship with Abed, but as we can see here, he was always the most thoughtful.

Honestly I'm a grown man, a former wrestler who has donr well in both MMA and boxing, worked a bunch of blue collor jobs and put myself through an engineering degree. I've done most thing people would consider tough jobs for "manly men" but every time I see the scene of troy leaving I cry a little bit but god damn I will own it until I die. It feels like losing someone close when I see troy and abed disappear!
@@bapandnapOkay I'm sorry that it seemed that way. Crying is generally not seen as a manly thing which was why I tried to explain it. But yeah being able to deal with your feelings is definitely a good thing which everyone should be able to do, but it is something I am still working on yeah. Hope you have a great life!
@@fredit123456789Don’t listen to that guy. _He_ comes across as insecure for criticizing you for giving your context. You be you. The world needs more “tough guys” who don’t succumb to the pressure to pretend they don’t have feelings.

Fun fact for ppl who didn't know: the actor who plays Troy (Donald Glover) will later on be the voice of Marshall Lee (genderbend of Marceline) in Adventure Time's ep "Bad Little Boy" and the "Fionna and Cake" spinoff series on MAX.
I didn't expect to get all teary-eyed but it happened. Also, I wish they'd included more of Troy in Season 5. I felt like he was barely in it and then he was completely gone. But I know Donald Glover left the show for his music career, so maybe that had already started and so he wasn't able to be in the show as much before he had to leave completely. Or perhaps it was done like that so his absence wouldn't be so jarring.
Troy and britta were meant for each other and I don’t care if that’s an unpopular opinion. Troy was sincere and childish enough to be a bright spot for britta. While britta was able to provide a somewhat maturity to Troy and balance him out as well.

Dan must have felt it would be too obvious for the storm trooper firing squad to miss Troy in the Star Wars/Paintball parody. That it may only warrant a sudden burst of air out the nostrils but not quite a “sheeeit”
