Why can't I find a tip/donate button on UA-cam, do you have it turned off by chance? Regardless - love DSP, seriously wish it had multiplayer to play with friends and family in the same galaxy etc. (could be team or against)
@@Artificial.Unintelligencethe game has a multiplayer mod for co-op playing, but you will need to wait for it to update, along with the rest of the mods.
@@JaiLeeroy nice! Yeah I would to but I took a break after my 3rd sphere to play other games. But now I might pick it up again and play with the new update. But man, HOI4 is a complicated game so I've spent most of my game time learning that one lol
Pro tip: Missile Turrets are great, but the Signal Tower building makes them OP. Any enemy in range of a Signal Tower can be targeted by Missile towers ANYWHERE on the planet. So you can create one main battery of Missile Turrets, then just put a Signal Tower in any outpost you want to protect, and any time an enemy gets in range of the Tower, the Missile Turrets will shoot it down. You can also drop a Signal Tower next to a Dark Fog base and watch missiles fly in from the other side of the planet to take it out.
IM SO GLAD YOU ARE PLAYING THIS! You and another creator are the reason I have 200+ hours in this game. I’ve been looking forward to seeing how you’ll play this time around with all the new things.
Hey kibitz! I heard you can throw a thermal plant on the hole they were drilling to make a great amount of power. Also you can "daisy chain" turrets with the belts just going straight through them.
Thank you, I was wondering what they meant by "borrowing the heat" but didn’t see any new building for it. Is it geothermal plants (the lava-based ones)?
Click and drag the wind turbines (or anything) to layout a line. There are keyboard buttons for increasing/decreasing the spacing while holding the drag
Heya Kibitz, love this game too. Few tips for you from having played this new update for a while. In your Mecha Panel, in the area labeled Hangar, you can store your excess drones and they will automatically replenish your fleet. This also works for the BAB(Battlefield Analysis Base) though it pulls from its internal inventory,. Additionally with the BAB you can farm the fog for resources, and you can also put large depos on top of the BAB for more storage. They are a great source of soil as well as iron, copper, coils and so on. Mostly early game stuff at least at low levels. Be aware the fog will try to rebuild that base multiple times if you leave it alone. You can cover it with a geothermal generator and they will give up, however if they get destroyed on rebuilding several times they may give up or move to a new location on planet. Have fun and see you in space.
Your original play through of this is how I first found ur channel. thought the game was a really cool concept, saw ur love for efficiency and automation and how fun you made all ur videos
10:15 Saw you draw a conveyor out OVER one that was already there. Paused your Video, Launched my game to try it. DAMN!!! I've been Manually Raising and lowering my belts to cross other lines. Such a Time Waster!! That alone will be a huge help. Thanks!! PS. Followed you here from Satisfactory. Your Satisfactory videos Sold me on that game. 1000hrs later, I'm starting out on Dyson Sphere, and yet again, I'm drawn back to you for Tips! Keep it up!!
It will be very interesting to see if you f'd yourself by taking them out so early, thus growing the space threat so fast (before having proper tech). Or if its the optimal strategy.
It's definitely not the optimal strategy; it's pretty easy to passively defend against the Dark Fog's planetary forces until you're ready for space combat. In my game, I've just unlocked planetary shields and have mostly ignored the Dark Fog besides surrounding their base on my home planet with a distant ring of implosion cannons and missile launchers.
The space hive threat will go down again while you aren't shooting down relay stations or trading interplanetary. But they will send out a new relay station to your planet eventually
I started playing this the moment it came out! It was tougher than I thought, but I'm on my way... great to see you take on the Dark Fog as well, it will be interesting to see your strategy and tactics. Good luck!
blueprint: 2 turrets. 4 wind turbines. 1 belt that loops all the turrets, chest that feeds loop. stock chest with ammo, build 2 to 3 layers. just outside of range and then closer and closer. Love your content
Months later and irellevant now but i love how he says he's going to do turret creep and then just proceeds to run forward out of range of his existing turrets and build in the enemies face.
I have been waiting for this series since the dawn of your fist playthrough. i absolutely love the game and i swear i checked youtube every single day to check for new videos. Thank you kibz!
From what I've seen from another YTer's playthrough, the relay station (orbital base) will leave once you seal the hole it makes in the planet and the space hive cluster doesn't raise in threat to you (because you absolutely can't survive a space assault at your stage) so might want to keep that bit in mind going forward.
who are here 9 months later. I just bought the game, and it is slowing down the building of my blue and red sugar production line, which has been going for 20 hours already. Love your content, love this game
Hi Kibz, I'm enjoying your content here. Did you forgot that you can stack science buildings? Also you can fill that core hole with foundations. Cheers! I hope you will make this as a series.
You can hand load 100 rounds, and that is absolutely the best way to launch assaults IMO. The autoloading is really for unmonitored defensive positions. I brought a Battlefield Analysis station (repairs turrets, and claims battle debris), 2 Impact cannons(artillery) 4 missile turrets, 4 Gauss cannons and 3-4 Thermal power plants and cleared out every base in my starter system. The base on my home planet was close to a crude oil node, but my planet hopping assault was powered by hydrogen fuel cells.
Set up missile turrets. You can unlock a Signal Tower, and the turrets can send rockets anywhere on the planet so long as it's within range of a signal tower. It turns the Dark Fog into SCRAP.
Research the signal tower for completely broken turret creep. Anything in range of a signal tower can be targeted by missile turrets from anywhere on the planet, so placing a signal tower near an enemy base means instant obliteration. Also, signal towers redirect attacks to themselves, so any raid will immediately walk into rocket range.
You can place a geothermal power station on the hole left behind by the Dark Fog's ground base with a substantial power bonus, in my testing the bonus has ranged from 280% to 460%, meaning 4 of these can yield 60+mw
You have lost your edge, you spent so much time in the peace of satisfactory following the carnage of supreme commander and factorio that you forgot how to fight swarms, on the other hand though i love this new developement and cant wait for the next episode, keep up the good work Kibs😁😁
We now have an intergalactic threat that "learns". Cool. Would be really neat if there were varied minor threats per planet on occasion. One might be infested with weird bugs like Factorio, one might be a proto robotics hive, etc.
I was so frustrated watching you try building turrets even though you could build missiles that outranged them. Then you built that missile turret right when I was asking you to build it
You don't want to attack the space station over your planet so early. As you learned at the end it increases the threat to the main hive when you do. Instead just keep attacking anything that lands on the ground to limit it to local threat or if you cover the boarhole that it made the station will just leave and maybe come back later.
You have got me so hyped on this game that i started my computer at 3am and gamed it for 2 hours in the middle of the night😂 it has a feeling like satisfactory but better because here you can conquer worlds and fight an Ai that evolves like in Factorio. Epic Game
Missile turrets are op. You can connect them via radar towers so that every radar transmits target data to all turrets on the planet that are in the radius of a radar tower themselves.
I'd be really interested in this being a series, with you finishing Satisfactory and Update 8 not being to much on the content front a DSP Series could slot right in to replace it until Update 9.
Looks like you should build either the Great Wall or the Pacific Defense Wall around the base to at least keep them bottled up. Also the coverage on your base is very thin in places because the green bubble is the effective range that the turrets have. So a rocket turret in the middle and auto turrets at the edge will give you better defensive depth
At the start you should focus on getting the steel research instead of the weapons system since the steel research allows you to place wind turbines in the water
@@teamruddy611 no man you dont need those you can just place the wind turbines in water right after you get the research if you look at it when it get hovered over it shows that you can just place them after getting the steel research

I discovered Kibitz from when he first built a Dyson Sphere, now I get to watch him play this new update!
Kibitz trying to exploit the fire power of a turret, while gaslighting himself into thinking he can thin out the Dark Fog army, has made my day.
But you can. And then use the Dark Fog as a source of infinite resources if you don't wipe them out.
@@GeorgeMonet How's that? didn't look like he was gaining anything from the enemy?
