@@ItsLavis moxie got another clefable in legends arceus (aka another jaiden). plus legends arceus is sinnoh in the past, so the last scene is implying dialga sent jaiden into the past to meet with moxie again. hope this helps!

I have to say, the friendship mechanic does succeed in making good stories, even if it is kinda broken
I agree, especially in nuzlockes, it hits hard when they don't die because of it
Honestly, I like the friendship mechanic for nuzlockes. It hurts the challenge a bit, but the whole point of naming everything is to get more attached. It's cool seeing that attachment have a mechanical effect, and it can lead to some hype moments. I like watching nuzlockes that give the Pokemon personality rather than just treating them as game pieces, and the friendship mechanic feeds into that.
@@keybladesrus Now do that, but also give friendship bonuses to gym leaders and the elite 4 to level the playing field. Then you'll see how funny it is to see how your calcs fail because the enemy pokemon just didn't feel like dying to a guaranteed KO

The moonblast to metronome made my heart sink the ending was amazing tho
I'm amazed how a single Metal Coat made Moxie pay 460$ just so he could get a Sizcor xD
My fav pokemon is not scizor it's sizcor
And he didn't need to tbh he could have used pokemon home to transfer it to pla buy a metal coat and evolve it there and transfer it back its what I do

we all love sqoop in honor of that adorable thing i am currently doing a brilliant diamond nuzlock and caught a gastrodon named sqoop it is doing very well and a clefable with modest nature and magic guard named satan
@@jld12er Long live squoop. I myself can also confirm Gastrodon is very epic because I have one on my team in Pokémon brick bronze named shaggymous and he was the absolute MVP of the champion fight. He took out a glimmora, a landorus, and a large chunk of a heatran’s health bar before going down. (It wasn’t a nuzlocke though so he’s fine.)
Shaggymous also won me a PVP match where I was down 3-1 by miraculously dodging several attacks and taking out the opponents three remaining Pokémon all on his own. Absolute madlad of a slug.

Honestly, I would never have the guts to make risky choices like locking into metronome because of the moves it could give you (like tackle). Somehow, you still made a comeback. Love the content, and congrats on beating your first hardcore nuzlocke.
That's always the best way to play video-games tho, specially on challenges like this imo.
Believe me, once you stop being afraid and start going wild at the right moments, everything becomes 10 times more epic and fun

I had the same thing happen to me in a nuzlocke of Pokémon Y. A random trainer had a brick break machoke and wiped out half my team with triple crit :(
That friendship mechanic is insane my torterra dodged Cynthia's Garchomp so many times. I loved it so much that Torterra became my favorite.

That's hilarious. My first playthrough of this game ended with my Roserade dodging Earthquake due to friendship and finishing with Dazzling Gleam, too.
Honestly such a risky play at the end but if it worked it would've gone down in nuzlock history that was a good run Moxie

Like last time, Cynthia was insane. The music choice and video editing were great as well (not the biggest fan of the frequent use of the dramatic sting at the end tbh, but it's completely fine tbh).
Ending was also pretty cool, really provided closure and whatnot.

Send out a Gardivor which knows trick room with a focus sash.
Set up trick room.
Send out Gastrodom which knows ice beam and take down Garchomp

One thing I've recently started trying in my prep is setting up my pokemon to abuse their abilities outside of Guts, which I'd already done a ton. For instance, for the Silver fight in Victory Road on my HGSS hardcore nuzlocke, I got my Typhlosion down to 25% through Substitute use, or Blaze range. Gave it the Power Herb for a reason I will talk about when I summarize the battle. Started with Forretress and used 3 Spikes for a certain pokemon in the back. Then sacked the Primo egg Slugma, switched into Typhlosion, and started spamming Blaze boosted Flamethrower. Soon, his Feraligatr came in. After calcs, I knew I needed all 3 Spikes layers to kill Feraligatr with the Power Herb Solar Beam from Typhlosion, allowing me to sweep without losing any major team members

I remembered I was down to my Torterra with Protect, Wood Hammer, Synthesis, and zero PP Earthquake. Was a nightmare since I used all of my revives earlier in the battle. Could not get a crit with Wood Hammer to save my life.

In the cynthia fight against garchomp with clefable u could have Switch into scizor in a poison jab than into gyarados in a earthquake and into clefable in a dragon claw to kill with a moonblast

I remember when I did my first ever nuzlocke I was willing to try to finish. I got all the way to the elite four, and none of it was luck from the friendship mechanic. Most of the elite four except Burny who almost killed my Bubbles the Gastrodon. When it finally came to Cynthia though I finally lost a Pokémon, and it was my Bronzong named Coin who got mirror coated. When it finally died most of Cynthia’s team was easy. At the end there was one single time friendship mechanic may have helped but it was missing a minus 1 attack dragon claw so it wouldn’t matter. Cynthia still scary as heck though.
