I'd like to suggest something. There are a few pack in MD which have a large amount of their best cards, or even just the cards required for them to be playable, locked in solo mode. As an example, Shiranui from the last Wheel episode has Solitaire, Samurai, Spiritmaster, Spectralsword, Swallow slash, Samsara, Shogunsaga and Samuraisaga locked behind solo mode. Which is more then half of the archetype. So, to make some packs more viable, I'd like to suggest players get 1 offs of the solo mode cards for any archetype they pick. That or for you to add a lifeline where a player can craft/add 1 of every card in an solo mode (or maybe 3-5 different 1 offs of solo mode cards), though people should only be allowed to take cards from solo modes for which they opened the archetype's pack in the past.

This is definitely shaping up to be an interesting season of Mater Saga. Doug, Gage and Farfa battling it out in a round robin style is just amazing. This was a great start to season 5 and I can’t wait to see what you guys have in store for us.
Farfa absolutely should have gone into the Fluffal pack. Every time that's shown up in a Dzeeff video it runs laps around the opposition because it's perfect for a sealed format like Saga or Roulette- all the main decks that you need are N or R (Patchwork, an SR, is the only high rarity card they run more than one of), most of the high rarity cards are the Fusions, so you only need one or two to pop off. Like, the last time Doug had it, MBT was so desperate to kill the deck *he banned Polymerization for the season.*
This was a very fun episode and hopefully it will be a very fun season. I just hope Gage doesn’t get baited into a bad pack next week. I think he’d have been better off if he went into the Fur Hire/Plunder pack.
As soon as I saw their decks, I predicted the results exactly. Of course, randomness and high-roll hands could change things, but this seemed pretty set in stone.
Nyhmnim justifying Farfa & Dzeeff's choosing the syncro starter for MST in his first pack, then going on to build the backrow heavy Pacifis, only for the presence of backrow removal to not even matter because he didn't see the field spell is hilarious
@kirayoshikage3258 that's the thing though, it's good but not that good. And it only saw a couple episodes of play in Season 4, and all the way back in Season 1

Love how Gage pulled fun semi-friendly archetypes like Fur Hire, Abyss Actors, etc and then just went for another mildly infuriating stall deck. This man is in it to win it 😂😂 Edit: the outcome 😂
Funny that Farfa gets the Destiny board pack twice lol. He got it with the Lab cards. Which he should've went into really because he had the boss monster which needs fiends and no matter what it would always comeback in a way. Farfa may have some bystials but they suck if your opponent doesn't have light or dark monsters and if you don't draw them.
One thing I really hope changes this season is "pre-emptive bans". It was really bad in the previous seasons where someone pulled crazy and the entire strategy was over before it got to play even one game. Really bad.

.
I don't think Doug won. I think Gage and Nadir lost.
For the structure deck, they could've done something like, first place gets to pick a deck, second gets 2 choices and third gets the last deck
already hooked ep1. gonna be waiting every week for the good stuff.
Excited for the round robin format and the legacy pack bans! Great ideas for an engaging season Dzeeff!!
YES I WAS ASKING FOR A 1V1V1 FOR AGES! obviously wasn't my comments that made this happen, I'm just so happy!!!! Love this series!
I love how Gage tunneled into Pacifis that bad 😂
Its such a trap of a pack. He had no idea the risk he took lol. Eldlich is banned because you always reach Eldlich somehow. Plenty of searchers.
This already turned out differently than i expected 😮
Love it❤
Letsgooo we're progressing towards Progression Playoffs, the best form of Progression. Bans every week was soooo good too.
Love how Gage pulled fun semi-friendly archetypes like Fur Hire, Abyss Actors, etc and then just went for another mildly infuriating stall deck.
This man is in it to win it 😂😂
Edit: the outcome 😂
dude, 3 player saga seems like a fucking blast
setting backrow has never been funnier
I would love to see danny be a part of one of these seasons tbh
Off to a pretty good start this season. I am very excited to see some crazy plays and jumpscares
This episode DID NOT go as I anticipated xD
This is gonna be a wild season!
Excited for this new season!
Season 5 let's go! Looking forward to this one!
crazy game 1 , just how Farfa used to practice his YGO skills against his little brother
Gage is just a content read meme maschine, dude is always cocky just to fall short everytime. Love him though! Hyped for the new season.
This season is going to be a good one. Episode 1 already loving it!
The children yearn for playoffs.
One thing I really hope changes this season is "pre-emptive bans".
It was really bad in the previous seasons where someone pulled crazy and the entire strategy was over before it got to play even one game. Really bad.
Random suggestion/thought: How about letting each player buy one (1) copy of a Structure Deck of their choice at some point later down the line, as a mid-season bonus?
This is such a cool format! Can't wait to see what comes next!
Team Nyhmnim all the way 🎉🎉🎉
Farfa is just entirely too fucking good 😂
Love him.
