Good video , Happy 25th Anniversary , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank You as always sir.
Great video! Happy Anniversary. That sound gave me the creeps to when you was finishing setting up the trap. I would’ve been gone too after hearing that noise. Sounded like a big animal crushing a tree. That’s enough to spook the crap out me 😂
There’s so many big hogs in there, it was hard to concentrate on the task.
Congratulations on your 25 year anniversary. It’s good to see your better half!
That sound in words might’ve been Bigfoot smashing a hog up against a tree.
Thank You. She keeps putting up with me. I’m the luckiest man ever.
Your videos are excellent. Well-paced, clearly told, and good video. Please keep up the high-quality work. Thanks a million.
Much appreciated!
Great job thanks for sharing from meadville pa
Thanks for watching
The raccoon was out 😂😂happy anniversary
Thank you
Good video.🎉
Thank you
Thank you for the informational video. See where the trap is always set up in a clearing, wonder if it could be set up around light brush. What type of rifle?
Yes it can be setup anywhere. Ruger 10/22
Good job getting rid of land roaches which punk out the landscape.
Thank you
Congratulations on the 25th anniversary. Hello from Miami, FL
Thank you. Thanks for watching!!!
Oh that's a dandy boar. Great job.
Yes it was!
Trapping hog on your anniversary. You're the bravest man I've ever seen LOLOLOLOLO
Lol
Subbed. What do you do with them after? Can you do videos on that?
I donate them to families for processing when possible. Not sure how they would fell about being on camera. The only time I asked if I could video them they were not comfortable with that. So I never asked anyone again.
great video, ty!
Thank You
Who doesn't like that slam of the door shutting .
Best part beyond the one actually getting to watch it live and activating the trap doors.
Catching those sows is important they would have dropped another litter of piglets, bull Creek traps is the best trap on the market,
Thanks for watching
Ha ha I like racool jumping out
Your only the second person to figure that out!!
Happy Anniversary! God Bless you all! Good job! Those hogs won’t be doing anymore damage.
Thank You
Hi BOSS am from India your all videos are just amazing...👌👌👌
Thank you so much 😀
May God keep you strong.
I think I missed my vocation!
😂
Great show thanks...Wo Pigs....RT
Thank You
Ever thought of getting a vehicle that isn't so damn loud?
This was a little suggestions. If you could post how they are in the morning before you arrive
Good eating right there!!
Yes sir
How do you know the different sounders and how do sounders run, were out west
It will be a group that’s always together. You will be able to tell the difference from number of pigs, sizes, color, patterns, and sex just from the camera. Then you will have line boars running around too.
I just subscribe good catch.
Thank You sir
Plenty other trapping videos for you to watch
At 9:25, something gets out, by climbing over the fence, what was it??
LOL, It was a coon running for its life. Did you see him jump. I laughed so hard. Had to watch it many times.
Possibly a raccoon they like to come in and get a snack as well
do you eat the meat, use the hair for brushes, use the leather ?
We only eat the meat. None of the other stuff you mentioned.
Get it ole son
Thanks David. I like when a big channel doesn’t forget about us little guys. Thanks for the comment!!!
Happy anniversary. We’re celebrating 20 years on the 31st. Those pigs looked pretty aggressively trying to get out of that trap. Blessings
Well Happy Anniversary to y’all also!!!!!
Yeah I don’t like taking chances on their possible success of getting out. But I don’t try and get some video. All my help was out of town and it was very hard to watch them and keep aware of what could come up behind me.
Thanks for watching
They're incredibly fast!!
@@spaceace1006 they are very fast. I’m always watching the ground for snakes and looking for trees I can climb to escape hogs getting me.
I wonder if there is any possible solution to completely get rid of feral hogs or if the best we can do is just reduce their numbers in places.
I don’t think it will happen in my lifetime.
Hello sir, you are in Bristow, OK (Creek County)? How do I join your trip to hog hunting? How much y'll charge?
Well we are a long way from OK. We are only trapping right now and haven't done any hog hunting. I will be doing some thermal work on landowners properties, but won't be able to take others for liability issues.
I may look into some sort of hog hunts in the future. So keep up with us and the opportunity may be come at some point.
what is rhe delay time between when you hit the drop button on your phone, and the door actually dropping? pretty sure it's not instantaneous, but it has to be pretty damn close, right? lol
Mostly depends on signal
Most of the time 2-3 seconds
Most time is on the switch itself. The signal gets there almost in an instant. The delay is always (usually) in the switch itself, or the transmission equipment. Like the old telephone service behind the demarc point. You can have end to fiber at top speed then hit a multiplexed analog type of line behind the demarc point.
That raccoon did well to get out before he got squished.
He bailed off that top rail like a flying squirrel
what jumped out at 9:26 ? Was it a coon or a possum?
It was a coon. He wasn’t hanging around for all that stuff.
What do you do with the hogs when you kill them?
Donate to families for processing when possible.
@@hollyridgehomestead Is there a chance they could have dangerous parasites in them, or nasty diseases?
Does the meat taste like normal pork?
@@michaeledwards1172 there’s a chance but we usually just process in the cooler months for ourselves. We mix it with our deer meat.
You did all that by yourself on 2 hrs what state are yous in Arkansas?
I'm trapping in Arkansas, live in Louisiana.
Is that a Racoon jumping out at 9:25-9:26?
Yes
@@hollyridgehomestead Thought first off that a piglet had been flipped out lol.
@@Rob-Benny-Hill when I was editing it, I laughed so hard watching it jump trying to get out of the way!
What is a, "Sounder?" Is it a big boar?
It's a group of hogs mostly consisting of sows, young boars and piglets.
Wow that’s an awesome trap congratulations that’s a Lotta ham
Thank You
Lotsa sore hog noses. Happy anniversary
Thank you 😁
What’s a sounder? Please from Australia
A group of pigs that roam and feed together. Similar to a herd of animals.
One jumped over!
It was a raccoon
Everything is copacetic until the gate drops.
Yep
What is a sounder?
A sounder is a herd of feral hogs primarily comprised of one or more adult sows and one or multiple generations of offspring.
Thank You sir
@@hollyridgehomestead
Thank you, I honestly didn’t know how destructive they can be. I live on Long Island and we don’t have wild boars and hogs here. We have enough issues dealing with deer 🦌 because they have no natural predators, we hunt doe’s every few years to keep the numbers manageable.
@@wild4202 well call yourself lucky. They wild hogs in the south are crazy out of control.
Did you see the little one that jumped over the fence?
It was a raccoon. I watched and laughed some many times while editing the video.
Thanks for watching
Whaat is a sounder?
A group of older hogs that stay together with various ages of other pigs. They will travel, feed and bed down together. Probably the best way to explain it. There are many terms depending on ages and sex. This is the term most commonly used in the south.
I have mixed feeling son the fact that we don't have wild hogs to hunt here.
LOL, you don't want them. Just come down and get you some.
Lol yeah here in Alabama people charge 500$ a night to get rid of there (problem) sad that’s only pork my mom can eat and can’t afford to get any around here
@@coreyhallman3134 I sure wished y’all were closer. I would gladly give y’all all your freezer could hold.
Thanks for watching
@@hollyridgehomestead I appreciate it brother me to
Just after 09:20 the gates come down!! Then the pigs freak out!!!!
One of the best parts is watching that. They hit it full speed.
I suppose that's the moment they somehow sense they are bacon.
@@michaeledwards1172 yep
I wish you had shown the actual kill shot. There is nothing inhumane about this. What do you do with the carcasses? Are they edible? I would imagine the large ones are disgusting, but the piglets might be OK? Some eat them some say they're awful. What say you? It has to be a challenge to get rid of the dead bodies.
We eat them. We also donate them to families for processing. The ones that are leftover go to the boneyard.
Hey Holly Ridge Home Stead I Am A New Subscriber I Love Watching Your Stuff May God Bless You From Bryer Floyd
Thank You Mr Floyd. I will have to check out your channel. I like metal detecting but very much a rookie at it. I live in an area with lots of history. I’m currently building in the old farm field of an old homesite. I have found some interesting stuff.
ahh, no "off" time shown.
Got to be careful on that situation
Hey padnah, a sounder is not 1 hog or pig. A sounder is a group or family of pigs.
7:50 Packrat?
🇮🇩👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💪💪💪😀😀😀
Thank you for watching.
Frame rate seems pretty low on your nightcam
watch the video at 9:25!!! the piglet jumps out. ;-)
Racoon. I seen it will editing the video. But at 1st had no idea what it was when recording it live.
27 years in October
Congratulations. Let me be the 1st to say Happy Anniversary, even though I'm early.

Why did people in Arkansas name their college mascot after the horrible animal destroying proper hand farms
Because they are tough
A Racoon !, Feeding!...was being tolerated by the hogs , Then..........Chung!....down goes the gates !, up the cage the racoon went !, (Fast! (9:25) (Time Stamp !)Ahahahahahahaha!!!(what a shock)....take a close look yourselves! cya
Look at the video again, one jumped over the fence.
Yes a coon climbed out
@@hollyridgehomestead it was quick, I thought it was a pig.
@@kirbygulbrandsen4507 yeah, I had to go back and watch during editing. I had thought the same thing.
0-60 in one second...
And hard
@@hollyridgehomestead You know, I had an actual question for you. Do you think a way will ever be found to reduce these wild hogs to a manageable herd? Thanks.
@@sardu55 yes. But it will only reduce them. Never 100% effective.
@@hollyridgehomestead Thanks. Guess you guys will have work for a long time then.
@@sardu55 seems like we have been doing this since I was very young but the problem wasn’t as bad. Now you can’t go anywhere and not see hog damage in our area.
