Some people do not understand how destructive and dangerous wild pigs can be. The wild pigs only redeeming quality is they are good to eat.

How destructive are they? They living in the forest and you living yours. I live in a forest resort before, I have seem them too. They never disturb anyone living there and we don't bother them. Even they come out at night to find food and we in the day. So I don't understand why human still find faults with them. I only see greed to eat them because they not willing to take out their pocket to buy butcher farm meat at store.

@@wendyshoowaiching4161 Well, these farmers and ranchers spend long hours all day every day and into the night to care for their crops and tend to their animals. They’re fighting to survive in very difficult times. They work very hard to provide food for the world. According to a USDA study, wild hogs can be blamed for $1.5 billion in damages every year in the United States. The feeding habits of wild hogs make them particularly destructive to crops, woodland habitats, levees, moist soil units, golf courses, and right of ways.

@@YT-ty1oy If you can't find a mutual solution, killing them long term will cause direct harm to the hunter. Karma of killing is not one can joke about. Human could not win fight over lesser beings without bearing the burn themselves. The game of karma is no killing and suffering cause to other party. You can work it out. Put them in large santuary they can thrive without disturbing your life.

@@wendyshoowaiching4161 boars are a massive issue here in France, they destroy fences, trash farmland and gardens.
They are getting closer and closer to habitations which could be dangerous.
There is a massive overpopulation which is only growing worse despite hunters killing 800k a year.
They cause between 60 to 80 million euros of damage each year in France.
97% of the damages caused by big hunting stock are caused by hogs in my region.

This time of year its very hot. Its almost impossible to process them before they go bad. During the fall through spring is when we donate all the hogs to families for processing. I don't weigh them so not sure how much weight, but I would imagine a lot. The families show up and we load them into trucks and trailers. I would say we donate about 90% of hogs to families when the weather permits excluding summer.

@@ken5042 Small world! You’re right, they would be hunted mercilessly; they’re in Canada now too but maybe not as much as down south. I have a number of friends in Palmerton and am more or less familiar with the area. I had never been interested in hunting until seeing the trapping/hunting feral hog videos. I have no interest in deer hunting but I’d hunt feral hogs since usually there’s so many of them and they are a destructive pest.

Great video ! What's a good way to dispose of them if you catch too many to clean and eat ?

Donate to other families and/or get to a processing facility that will take them.

That’s an amazing catch. Congratulations. What is there to hate?

What do you do to dispose of the carcasses? Dumping them only feeds coyotes, rats, and such. This is not hate toward you. Just concern. I admire and appreciate getting rid of the pigs. The thing is, getting a blessing without a curse added to it.👍👍
