I like durable watches which are not afraid of scratches and beating. But I like automatic mechanical movements. In military Seiko watches are very good. For exampleSeiko "Turtles" or cronographs from late 2000s Eventually the watch will break if You live an active lifestyle. But Seiko is not too expensive and You can always buy a new one.
On the subject of watches you can't afford is it not better that something is so ridiculously expensive that you know you'll never be able to afford it rather than one that seems low enough in price to make you think if I just do xyz maybe just maybe. But In reality you still can't afford it🤷♂️🤔
@RJMac1982 "Overhyped homage brand" is irrelevant. They make attractive watches that sell. His criticism would be credible if he simply said I don't like the design of Tudors. Instead, he praddles on about homage brands. Rolex has a subsidiary that makes modern versions of vintage subs, so what? This guy makes a video warning folks about "how Tudor fools you." Hate Tudor all you want but hate their design. McConville loves Brietling, but I think many of their models are hideous. I don't need to besmirch the company or attribute what I imagine to be nefarious intent to the company.
@@KeithBeacham Breitling at least is original …That’s what the comment was …Tudor is the younger step child of Rolex …That’s all ..Tudors MO is producing vintage Rolex homages is what he was saying and it’s not too far off from the truth …
@watchmedicine7747 That is not a reason to dislike the watches. There are homages all over this industry. Either you make an attractive watch or you don't. Originality, such that it exists in watch making, is not a virtue. Leaning into a back catalog is no vice. It can be said that Brietling makes ugly watches. That's the kiss of death. Originality can't save an unattractive watch. Tudor most popular watches are attractive.
I am wearing Pagani Design Black Bay! And loving it. I see no difference between Rolex and Pagani.
“Tudor is clearly just another Rolex homage brand”
Hits like immediately.

I think the monochrome 58 is a beautiful watch but yh I get the Rolex little brother vibe

great topic guys
McConville's opinion of Tudor is silly. He is welcome to it, but loud and wrong is still wrong.
No, he’s exactly correct. They’re an overhyped Rolex homage brand.
@@RJMac1982Completely agree ….Tudor Black Bay (insert new model name)

I don’t like the MB ad F roller watch!
I own a Tudor Pelagos, and it’s not a copy of a Rolex.
Pelagos is the only Tudor model to be respected tbh ….Everything else is a Tudor black bay ( insert blank)
Yep the Pelagos is such a cool watch!

@@KeithBeacham hey - if you are going to refer to me the very least you can do is spell my name correctly
@@PeteMcConvill McConvill is entitled to like or dislike whatever watch he wants, no matter how silly his rationale is. Better?
