I really am amazed at how non-consistent Chad is with these ratings. Sometimes he rates a commercial based on how cursed it actually is. Sometimes just based on how good it is. Sometimes based on how terrible it is at advertising the thing. There is no rhyme or reason behind this. The rating system itself is cursed and I love it.
Then sometimes he'll talk at length about how disturbing something is, only to give it a 5 (like the tooth guy - that was so cursed and Chad set it up perfectly for a high rating).

The Kenny's pig and chicken love story is legitimately a well-done commercial. I had such a strong feeling it was all a setup to a fakeout and it made me feel sad, because you can tell some talented people made it who would rather be doing movies or shows.
That Lionel Coin Bank commercial has a similar vibe to those collectable coin infomercials that try to sell you some sort of historical-looking coin, insisting it will have great value in the future.
Fun fact: I actually used to have one of those Lionel train banks when I was a kid, so that commercial was actually pretty nostalgic for me. Idk if I still have it somewhere, it’s probably long gone by now.
I used to work in a toy store. Games for younger children came in (with some exceptions) three categories. 1. Educational games (Usually reading or basic math) 2. Movement games (like "Floor is lava" and others) 3. Poop games (Like this one) And yes we sold it and yes it was popular.
Here’s another interesting tidbit: Gramps was a character introduced alongside Sonny, hence the names they got. They have a dynamic where Gramps would poor a bowl of Cocoa Puffs, and encourage Sonny to go crazy when they want to achieve something. When Sonny went solo, it didn’t feel the same, but then there was a brief period where Gramps made a return, hence why we have a modern commercial of Cocoa Puffs that features Gramps as the Judge.
I’m jealous of how standard the box is for a happy meal. When I was a kid 90% of the time, it was just a bag. Every so often for a special occasion they would have a box. But now it’s just always a box.

She was probably in her late teens or even early twenties, and she just looked young because... well, she's Asian. Being perceived as much younger than they are is something a lot of Asian women struggle with, and not in the good "you don't look a day over twenty" way. I know a woman who's partner got harassed because people assumed she was underage, despite the fact that she was the older one in the relationship.

The Pac-Man vomit, the sound when the guy who doesn't drink milk's arms break off... -And as a PSA watcher, if you want a littering PSA that's striking, take a look at the "Clean Up New York" PSA made by David Lynch. -I was expecting the pig and chicken commercial to be some gruesome PSA. I did get some elements of the ending twist right though -The last one reminds me of the One Missed Call American remake cover
