- In this video I try something I’ve always wanted to try, winter moto camping!
I invited my friend Jason along, he brought his Honda XR650L and I took my KTM500exc.
This was a proof of concept video, to see if moto winter camping could be done comfortably! We took along a backpacking hot ten with a wood stove.

Have you ever wanted to go winter camping?
No. I am also a lizard 🦎🦎
Well I don't want to brag, but I wanted and I did :D But hey, awesome video! I really enjoyed it and was wondering why I haven't run into these before.
Thick merino wool layers and the mildly kinky looking balaclava with part that covers your mouth, but which you can raise a little bit and stick your tongue out of it, are the best gear for cold trips.. and for other kind of events also.
🤩🏕️🏍️⛄️ awesome video Blake!! Makes me wana go ride
Yes!! Very soon we will meet up and ride 😬😬
so good lol😂 "we headed out wearing 9 layers of the wrong clothes" 😂
Hahah 😬 gotta make the best with what ya got
Nice video, thanks! ♥ Went camping in North Lapland, next to Siberia once. it was -52C (-62F) I was with dogs and a sledge. I ride an off road bike, but would be too scared on these icy roads, certainly without studs.
Love your adventure, and satire! You’re all brought the perspective of camping with good friend.
Glad you enjoyed it, gotta have some fun in the winter :)
Awesome video. Not surprised the coyotes got hungry, that food looked delicious.
Seriously was so good.. I was honestly expecting to have to fight them off
I. Love. Winter camping.
Is it cause you run so HAWT!?!
This is hilarious 😂😂
Great video!!
Hahah thanks man!! Glad you enjoyed it
What a great winter Adventure!! You boys looked like you had fun out there for sure! I am just "Itching" to get out myself too...
Yeah man it was good! This weeks weather is looking great!
That scenery and soundscape! Haha. Great video as always man. It’s almost time to get out for me!
Thanks man!
Let me guess. Wabamun lake lol. Excellent video man I enjoyed this one a lot. I took my 250L out early in the season to play in some and dumped it. Froze on the way there and back but also had tp scratch that itch
Nope! Opposite direction to that.
It’s is nice to scratch that itch! Even if you dump and freeze a bit
Motorbikes…elk steaks…wood stove…Lucky!!
All the ingredients for a good time if you ask me!
Ahaha sounds like you guys got an amazing night of sleep!! Need to try this myself!
Haha I’ve had better.. but it was still lots of fun. You definitely should man!
February and March are the worst, here in NH its almost warm enough to get out and ride, but the roads are still icey or just down right too wet, and a snow storm is always expected. May have to invest in a hot tent for my lizard like body to soak up heat in after I ride sometime in the early spring/late winter, great vid as usual dude!
Yeah! It’s always such a tease this time of year with weather.. especially this year with the weekly snow after everything melts. But soon it’ll be summer and all will be forgotten ahah.
Thanks for the kind words and watching!
(Ps the motorcycle i rode across canada was called trash panda)
Quality stuff. Glad I stumbled onto your channel
I'll be making myself cozy besides your tent stove as I binge watch any previous or future videos
Thank you! There’s plenty of space around the stove, welcome.
Great videos keep it up ❤🎉🎉
Haha how did you comment so fast! Thank you!
@@rangeroadmoto I was on UA-cam and got the notification 😂
Haha that’s awesome :D
As always, epic video my guy
Thanks! Appreciate that
Great video. Looked like pretty good camping trip.
Thanks for watching! We had fun :)
Did you formally study film making? I’ve always been impressed by the quality of your videos!

One definition of ADV riding is taking inappropriate equipment to out of the way places, lol.
Bahah I think that is very accurate. At least from my experience
You did a very good job of making this video. I enjoy all your videos. I was wondering what stove is that that you're using. Wouldn't mind finding out how much it cost
Thanks man! They are really fun to make, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
The stove and tent are both made by SeekOutside, I left a link to their site in the description :)
Is that out by ft sask? Looks familiar.
Yeah not too far away from there
@@rangeroadmoto cool, hit me up if you ever want to go for a dual sport ride, I’m on a FE501.
Yeah man!
