Another thing about the Neustadt museum- the excursion train has its baggage car fitted out like a country pub- the barman was quite a character and the line was maintained to DB standards as they have freight customers on it. Really a great place. I noticed in the locomotive shed was a class 99 narrow-gauge Mallet- I wonder if it's still there?
@@railwayuniverseeisenbahnun8759 Maybe the next time I'm there. It was sitting off by itself like a classic car sitting in a barn, waiting to be restored. There was an NG Mallet at the Nuremberg museum sitting outdoors on a short length of track when I was first there about 15 years ago. On my next visit it was gone, hopefully restored and running somewhere.
I've been to this museum about 10 years ago on an excursion from London. It's a great museum!
Wow, great and I agree!
What has GB to offer in terms of great museums ?
