      Well as a muslim iranian with Zoroastrian friends i have to explain that when scholars say "Christianity copied Zoroastrianism" it's because in the so callled abrahamic religions there was no distinctly described heaven and hell, or satan or a "last of the days antichrist" before Zoroastrianism "invented it" and after the persian domination of the mid east they did become a part of the Babylonian Talmud etc.
      But also you have to know that for a large part of it's history Zoroastrianism wasn't monotheistic and there's an argument as to what was the original Zoroastrianism

    • @Mitthradata
      @Mitthradata Рік тому

      From an Islamic perspective, there is one Zoroastrian narratives that can be incorporated into the "zarthrustra was a prophet" idea, and if you look at it like that, there is no Gabriel. God shows himself to zoroaster the way he shows himself to moses (to moses as a cloud, to zoroaster as light)

    They don't worship the fire, they worship god facing the fire. It's like saying Muslims worship caba. Keep in mind this religion possibly predates ibraham, so there were no caba or any other place to face towards while praying.

    11:40 it’s quite different actually because Sheytan is simply appointed by Allah to test his subjects, versus Ahriman is the negative pole in the Zoroastrian duality, which is directly responsible for all evil in the world through this philosophy, Zoroastrianism leaves room for the philosophical concepts of free will, since not all things especially things that are bad are meant to be by gods discretion and intention. It’s a very different philosophical take than that of Judaism and Islam.

Last christmas I was talking about the visit of the Magi (three wisemen) and mentioned they could have been Zoroastrian priests, no one complained. They might have if I'd mentioned that, at the time, the priests would have also studied astrology and that knowing Jesus had been born by seeing his star, then following the star to Bethlehem, they were probably following some kind of horoscope.

      Some historians suggest that Judaism's strict monotheism developed during the Babylonian Exile, perhaps in reaction to Zoroastrian dualism. In this view, it was only by the Hellenic period that most Jews came to believe that their god was the only god and that the notion of a clearly bounded Jewish nation identical with the Jewish religion formed.

    • @2apocalypsex
      @2apocalypsex 9 місяців тому

      @@SohailJafar1Judaism as we know it today has its origins between the 6th and 5th century BCE (600 and 500 BC).
      Zoroastrianism traces its origins between the 15th to the 6th century BCE (1500 BCE to 600 BCE)
      More so than Zoroastrianism, Judaism is an overlapping series of religions, each of which took from its predecessor and added something new. So, before we compare the antiquity of Judaism with that of Zoroastrianism, we have first to answer which ‘Judaism’ we mean.
      The Israelites and the Jews of the early monarchical period were polytheistic and continued to worship the gods of their Canaanite forebears, with the addition of a new patron God, Yahweh (YHWH). Mark S. Smith says of this period, in The Early History of God, that according to the available evidence, Israelite religion in its earliest form did not contrast markedly with the religions of its neighbours in either number or configuration of deities.
      The polytheistic period prior to 722 BCE might better be referred to as ‘Hebrew religion’ rather than Judaism.
      During the late monarchical period, official Judaism developed in the direction of monothism, although there is evidence that the ordinary people continued to worship gods and goddesses. This was Judaism, but scarcely recognisable today.
      At some stage during or after the Babylonian Exile, Judaism became monotheistic. Smith says, “Monotheism was ultimately a product of the Exile, but some developments leading to it are evident in a variety of religious expressions dating to the monarchy.”
      Worship still revolved around animal sacrifices, so it was not the Judaism of today. The Exilic and post-Exilic period were when most of the Tanakh (Old Testament) was written or redacted, but the Talmud was centuries off in the future.
      The destruction of the Jerusalem temple in 70CE brought animal sacrifice to an end and ushered in Rabbinic Judaism. The priesthood was abandoned and the teachings of the Pharisees seem to have been adapted to the needs of the time.
      Modern Judaism is heavily based on the Talmud, which is possibly as important to a Jew as the Tanakh. Synagogues have long since replaced temple worship.
      The Hebrew religion of the early centuries of the first millennium BCE is scarcely to be called Judaism, but in any case arose from the Canaanite religion of previous centuries. At the other end of the timescale, the first version of Judaism that would have been recognisable to a modern observer, chiefly because of the books of scripture, only arose in the sixth century BCE.
      The Jews encountered Zoroastrianism in Persia in the seventh century BCE, but it was already centuries old. It appears to have reached Persia from eastern Iran at least a hundred years beforehand. Views differ as to whether Zoroastrianism emerged farther to the east or in southern Russia, home also to Hinduism, with which it shares some affinity. I think the dominant opinion is that the origin of Zoroastrianism is in southern Russia, no later than about 1700 BCE. This is long before the evolution of Judaism and even before the legendary time of Moses.

    17:17 in fact, it makes complete sense due to the original assumption that all evil, including the hell that you are going to is a negative attribute created by Ahriman. It was an example for you to understand.
      Think of it this way: obviously anyone can pick up a book, Bible, or whatever, and write whatever they want. I could pick up a Quran and write whatever I want in it, does that mean I’m changing the word of God? Do you really believe the Quran claims no one can write their own Bible? No, it is saying that in despite of those writings, no one can change what God says no matter what they write.

      @Grzmnky Рік тому

      @MuslimMindsUS I get what you're saying. What I'm saying is that even if a man tried to make changes by adding or taking away and then putting it in the Bible, it is impossible. God will not allow it to be done. Our Bible is not changed, nobody added or took away, God will never allow that to happen.

    • @SohailJafar1
      @SohailJafar1 Рік тому +2

      You have to bring verses of the Quran if you're going to make an argument so responses can be given to you. And brother Rohaib has replied to you very well and I only want to add on to his comments.
      Such verses that Allah ﷻ has stated in the Quran are either to do with His decrees or His verses that are in the Quran, as the Quran has not been changed for over 1400 years, and Allah ﷻ has promised it's preservation (see Chapter 15:9). Therefore, this does not go against what Rohaib and Hamza have stated that the Bible has been changed over time, as has been stated in the Quran, in Chapters 3:78 and 5:13, to name a few.
      As for your latest replied comment, it is not (and was not) impossible for man to change Bible. There are many contradictions in your Bible, verses that are in one version of a Bible but not in another version. They point to the fact that the Bible has not been preserved and why we believe, with what Allah ﷻ and our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ have stated in the Quran and Hadith, respectively, that the Bible has been changed by man.
      Hope that helps.

    Hey Rohaib and Hamza, its good that you are on this journey to understand religions of the world, but then be accepting of the beliefs. Every religion looks to understand the world through the lenses of its culture, people, language, etc. So all religions are true, all gods are true.
    Just a few titbits, Ahura Mazda vs Angramanyu. In Sanskrit there is a word Asura which means A- sura, one that is not Sura. Or bad/ evil/ demon/ devil. Angramanyu's evil minions are called Daevas. In Hindu scriptures Devas are gods. Ahura Mazda has given man Wohu Mana?? Mana is mind in Sanskrit. Asha is hope in Sanskrit.
    Point being, all religions have similarity, and to accuse other religions of being false is petty. Enjoy!

    • @MuslimMindsUS
      @MuslimMindsUS  Рік тому +1

      No it’s not petty. It is delusional and impossible to reconcile all the contradictions among different religions. It would also be naive to pretend that man does not innovate and create beliefs out of whim, desire, and societal influences. Meaning some religions are clear and undeniable fables and falsehoods. Some religions say they are the only way and all other ways are false, or that there is only one God, or how Islam denies the divinity of Jesus. Therefore all religions cannot be true, Jesus is either God or not God. Both statements cannot be true.
      Some religions may be used to communicate a societal or cultural belief but many others do not, namely the largest ones, Islam and Christianity. These two are global religions that teach all other ways are false and lead to hellfire and destruction.
      We comment, react, and share our thoughts, but there is no reason for us to “accept” these beliefs as true. That’s not the point of this channel.
