  • Join me on a very fast but incredible weekend trip to Yosemite National Park. This park is one of the most beautiful parks in the country! Just the drive in alone will give you goosebumps as you enter from Tunnel view looking over one of the most beautiful valleys, and then driving below the largest granite cliffs in the world like El Capitan and Half Dome.
    On this quick weekend trip I decided to check out and hike to the top of a couple of the classic waterfalls, Yosemite Falls and Vernal falls as they are raging like never seen before because of the crazy amount of snow this area saw over the 2022/2023 winter season.
    This park is very special, and I hope you find some inspiration from this video to visit the park yourself if you never have or it's just been a while.

      Also, we have a jeep and want to mount a an IKamper RTT on a half rack like yours…could you share which rack you’re using? My husband is traveling now with no service and I’d love to have it all lined up when he returns!

      thank you so much! I definitely try to be just me out there. As for the jeep, my rack is the backbone from rhino rack, it works great

    One lighting trick is to take your shoes off and stand in the open. The contact with the ground actually grounds you the same way an electrical circuit would in your home.
    Also would love to see how you pack all your stuff and things into your Jeep.

      oh interesting, I've definitely never heard that before. But I am always looking to learn more and be safer, so I'll have to look into this more! And yes, I plan on putting together a Jeep video like that soon.

    O of all the NPs I visited on my road trip last Sept/Oct, I left my heart behind here and in the Sierras!
    And my most fave memory, besides standing at the base of El Cap, was when I hand-washed my skivies then strung them on a clothes line stretched across the underside of my rooftop tent, and drove my truck around the loop 5 times to air dry them. Thankfully, I arrived back to camp with all articles of clothing!
    Lol! Yep I was that person!

    Amazing video! I live 2 hours from my “Happy Place “Yosemite and did Upper Yosemite falls and the top of Nevada falls a week apart. I was curious which hike you thought was tougher and if you got to see “Oh My Gosh Point” along the Yosemite Falls trail? I missed it but will be returning soon😁

      I definitely think that Yosemite falls is a tougher hike, but we didn't get to see nearly as much on that trail as I had hoped because of the weather

    The rocky overhangs and cave like features ARE NOT a good place to be when lightning is near by. Do you check weather forecasts before heading out?

    • @Outofthewoods_Adventures
      @Outofthewoods_Adventures  Рік тому

      then where would you suggest is better, right out in the open?

    • @dhrracer
      @dhrracer Рік тому

      @@Outofthewoods_Adventures yes. But kind of tough in that area. Best would have been to know the weather forecast and avoid being in that predicament. As soon as the weather started rolling in you should have high tailed it out of there.
