    Looks like a very fun trip. That pine cone was huge! I agree, documenting trips is fun and enjoyable to look back on. I view my YT as a personal journal in some ways.

    can you tell what is your camera setup ? would help me to start as well ... or help me recommending one !

      Yeah of course, my camera is currently the Sony A6700 with the Tamron 17-70 f2.8, it’s a great travel setup but it’s a little pricey for beginning, a great alternative would be a used Sony A7III with a zoom lens, it’s an older but amazing Sony camera

      Did you color grade this or is this shot in standard color profile?

    • @ethan_holmes
      @ethan_holmes  4 місяці тому +2

      @@mauiaguirre it was shot in a raw rec 709 profile and yup I had to color grade it with a lut that had rec 709 conversion built in, something that helped get a more light dreamy feel was using a pro mist filter and slightly over exposing the highlights!!

    • @mauiaguirre
      @mauiaguirre 4 місяці тому

      @@ethan_holmes ahhh awesome stuff man. Do you mind suggesting some cool luts and where to get em??
      Also when you say raw, do you mean shooting in Log profile? Sorry ive never shot in Raw before.
      Only in Log and standard profile. I didn’t know you could shoot standard profile AND raw

    • @ethan_holmes
      @ethan_holmes  4 місяці тому

      @@mauiaguirre I personally like the Vincent films luts, you can find them online but they do cost a bit. Yup, in the settings you would be shooting in S-Log3 for most Sony cameras. That’s the raw file format, and then in post the color profile is Rec 709!

  • @Vishfilmxxx

    The color grading is so soothing❤ Any tips on how to achieve such colors?

    • @ethan_holmes
      @ethan_holmes  4 місяці тому +1

      Thank you! There’s a couple things you can do regardless of the camera you have, I would recommend trying a promist bloom filter, also try over exposing slightly so the highlights are brighter, and use a film emulation lut, I use one with Rec 709 built in!
