That's funny cause I doubt he'd agree ya see he himself was considered "not country" hence the label "outlaw" 😉 I'm sure he would have loved several bands of today if list them but there's far too many.

I was told by my mom before she passed, that when I was 7 years old, I climbed up on all the beer boxes in the liquor store and started singing waylon and Charlie Pride songs lol. She said she was so embarrassed but the employees an customers loved it lol. Still today, I listen to Waylon and the old boys as much as I can, there is simply no comparison in today's COUNTRY music.

Funny you should say that. I grew up country being a farmer and we have obviously listened to Hank, but we never listened to Waylon. We were 80’s kids so we had a ton of other stuff to listen to. But I was in the garage a week ago cleaning and thought to myself, I want to listen to some old country. I had heard songs from Waylon since I grew up going to the bar with my dad often, so I had heard his voice. But when this song came on last week I was in Awe. I have a few friends that are not with us anymore and I would give anything to sit and listen to this song with them, we were definitely the wild ones. Just an amazing song. It will be added to the short list of songs that I listen to weekly, for the rest of my life.

So that we can go back to enjoy it you younger generations you don't know what it means to have a gentle giant like Waylon Jennings to look up to,All you younger generations play stupid songs and we can't understand the music your suppose to be singing is nothing but"Hog Wash" it is sickening to other people. I say thank you for letting me listen to the best outlaw his name is Waylon Jennings that's who. Thank you and God Bless to you all at You Tube.

Hey juanita I first got acquainted with Waylon back in 1979 when the dukes of hazzard came on TV, I didn't know who he was at the time until my dad told me about him. I didn't know who Buddy Holly was either until I got a cassette tape of his greatest hits one year for Christmas I must have played that tape over and over again at my Grandmother's place in Tipton Indiana. Anyway to make a long story short you were right on when you said that waylon was the best there was and still is. When they said that the day the music died about Buddy Holly not true and so it is the same about Waylon. Waylons music will live on forever.
