Happy Birthday, Uncle Sam! Together, United, we can accomplish real and lasting things of significance, get through the hard times, and be a shining beacon of hope to a troubled world. This is the promise of this land and its people.
This song was released the year I was born! I have seen this country change so much in my 34 years! I am glad I was able to experience it for a short time while things were still somewhat innocent and before our values were completely thrown out the window. It truly makes me sad to think of all that we have lost, we have gained some things but we lost a whole lot more! I can't imagine how hard it must be for older generations like my grandparents who have experienced so much more of a decline than I have.
I'm 68 and a Grandmother/Greatgrandmother. It breaks my heart to see my country in such shambles.
This is the America I know, love, and served in the military for. Not today’s shadow.
